I’ll get prep day for sure- $5 day of entertainment and getting me focused on projects - any ideas and downloads are a Bonus.
I won’t get the hybrid as I don’t do digitals.
I wasn’t going to get the other class because last year was such a disappointment for me- I thought many of the ideas were pretty lame and I didn’t even finish watching some of the videos- that’s how bad I thought they were. If anything, less creators and content has me more likely to watch because I assume this means it’s better content. What has me not sure is 1. I’m cheap. I spend like no tomorrow on products but I have a hard time paying for content 2. I don’t have all the products. I could make that work though as I have the main kit and one of the days product (die cuts) and I have the first years are stencils I could sub. TBD but I probably won’t buy it.

If anything, less creators and content has me more likely to watch because I assume this means it’s better content. This is a good point and possibly the selling point for me. Thank you! That is true. What everyone is saying about inspiration and getting in the mood. In the long run, anything that helps me make this book quicker and take up less space in my life this year is worth it. I'm going to buy now before I back out. The videos give me less alone time in my office at lunch. It's less playing candy crush on my phone. I might not watch all the videos all the way through but I should be able to translate ideas with products I have bought. Or I'll get some digitals. I usually pick up a couple of things. I know enough about photoshop typically to be able to buy one set of digitals (like one year even a sheet of stickers) and go to town manipulating them in all different sizes for things.

Just went ahead and ordered the Prep Day and This This and This. I had a 10% off DM code that I was able to use. I did not get hybrid just bc I am not convinced I would use it plus I would need to add to the"cost" of the digitals to support the class and while I will likely get a few digitals, I don't necessarily want to commit to buying ALL of the ones needed for the hybrid class. Stamp TOPIC: Now I need to decide what stamps to order tomorrow since it is the last day before the stamp pre order goes in. I definitely want the numbers stamp and debating Paislee press stamp and possibly one of the alphas are awesome. ETA - OK I also loved how the Holiday Phrase stamp looks in the samples Ali made so may have to get that one. Historically, I don't get my money's worth with stamps so trying to be discerning What stamps are others thinking about getting???

I’ve been enabled into the ginger people stamp set, I think! And maybe alpha #6.

I bought the damn tree set yesterday. I know I won’t get my money’s worth out of it but damn it, I’ll have fun playing with it. I don’t have any other tree stamps. 🤣 #treatyoself

I won’t be getting any of Ali’s stamps. I messaged Shimelle and she said her Christmas stamps will go up for preorder this week. I’ll pick those up instead.

What stamps are others thinking about getting??? Thanks for the reminder about the deadline. I just got the 4X6 alpha and numbers set. I don't have many smaller alphas, and I think I would be more likely to use them on pocket cards. I would also be able to use them once DD is over. Last year, I had the digital version of the 2023 tree stamp. I made just one layout with it. I'm not sure I would do more than one layout even with the physical stamp set. Will skip the hybrid class for now. Didn't stop to think that it would involve the purchase of several digitals. Will get the Prep Day and Product Play classes.

Besides the impulse trees, I got the letter/number set. I loved mismatched smaller alphas so this one was right up my alley. I won’t get any others. I like the phrases how they have the larger spacing but I have plenty of Christmas phrases and don’t need them. I also like a number of the matching alphas are awesome numbers sets but they are too expensive (for me) to justify. I don’t stamp much at all for numbers in Dd.

I think I’m passing on Ali’s stamps this year. None of them are really grabbing my attention.

Has anyone seen what inks might match the kit this year? I usually don’t get too adventurous but thought it might be fun to have some colors on hand this year. Even if it’s Ranger, I think there are mini sets available, instead of full size pads.

Did you see that Nolana is doing a live today at 8 EST to do a crafting session? It's in the DD facebook group.
I really love her. She seems so sweet and very excited. I enjoyed her prep day class last year (did a modified version of it myself and used it to document the Claus-mopolitan mix I found at TJ Maxx).

Her pages are always so pretty! The only thing I don’t like is that she moves her camera around the page to get it all in, I want to be able to stop the video and see everything!

Denine has a post on AE blog about stamping. Very cute ideas, I particularly love the first one. And part of me thinks there is something cold and dead inside of me, I do like the gingerbread stamped samples at all. They do nothing for me.
Also, still haven't purchased stamps, probably won't.

Denine used an ornament hook to attach a gingerbread to felt numbers. Such a great idea!

Denine did a nice job on her post. I like how she used the scallop circles and repurposed patterned paper for circle and tags. I also like the number of ideas she showed with the ginger folks! I do think for both of those stamps I would use them more as digitals so that I can also use my silhouette to cut out the shape. I have zero desire to cut out scallops or ginger folk by hand. Enjoying the inspo!

Pulled the trigger on the stamps...for the ginger people, I'll do one for each member of the family when I do the yearly questionnaire. I skipped last year and I regret it.
The past two years I have gotten sick right at the beginning of December. I better not this year!

I don't have a paper crimper, but I have one that we use to get all of the toothpaste out of a tube (my husband's purchase, not mine). I think I can make it work! In my search for the elusive scallop scissors, I found some very useful tools. I had forgotten all about my hearts and stars punches, in different sizes and styles. I'm so glad I never got rid of my ribbon even though I didn't use it for years. It seems like a lot of the DD projects use ribbons for one thing or another.

I was pondering if a score board would work for crimping, flipping the paper over to get both sides.

I have that same scalloped punch. I still love using it occasionally for a border. I don’t think I have any more of my decorative edge scissors, but I do have a handheld rotary tool from Martha Stewart that has an attachment that does a scallop edge. I used to have a crimper. I have no memory of what happened to it, but after just doing a major clean out/reorganization this year, I’m pretty confident that it’s gone.

I finally hit purchase on the Prep Day class, and I decided to get the older Storytelling with December Daily class instead of the other newer ones. The best part about it is that I can start it now for something to keep me entertained while I wait for my supplies.
I am officially sitting out the DD stamps. I might pick up a set (or more) from other companies when there are more releases, but I’m trying to only buy stamp sets that really excite me. I’m most interested in what Kerri Bradford and Heidi Swapp release. I have also really loved sets in the past from Shimelle and Citrus Twist. I can’t wait to see all the options when they’re available!

Got influenced to order the gingerbread people stamp set. This is the first time I've added to my box since the shopping window opened two weeks ago, which I'm really proud of lol....now I'm done. For real. Maybe.

I only ordered the tree stamp set. I also found a tree stitching die from Papertrey Ink (2014 release, I think) that I want to incorporate into my album this year.
