*MARKED SAFE FROM AE DECEMBER DAILY STAMPS*
Completely unimpressed this year. But I think I staid the same thing until Pam worked her wizardly magic with those trees last year.
Still undecided on album size. I don’t love the 10x8 size (used it before), this is my last year with kids home. Next year they are all in college and won’t be on break until mid-late December. I know things will look and feel very different then. Go big this last year?

I can’t get past the 13.00 shipping. Unless you are buying albums that is outrageous. I have never done DD and was contemplating this year as I like the product, but that shipping is too much for the items I like. If her prices were over all more reasonable I would be tempted, but I am not paying boutique prices and boutique shipping on top of it. There are plenty of other options for me.

Even better, I have a square scallop punch that is going to get a workout! I think I have a pair of scallop scissors from way back in the day. Fingers crossed. I kept deckle edge and stamp edge for sure.

This year will be especially brutal for me because my husband is working out of town for almost the entire month of December, so it's just me at home. Most of my December photos will be screenshots of FaceTime's between my husband, son, and me, lol. So, celebrate your last holiday season together, and make it a fun process with awesome scrapbooking goodies, you won't regret it!

I am torn between the 4x6 album (I LOVE the print and it's a new size for me) and the 10x8 album. The 4x6 album seems like a doable project during a very busy month, but I also want to add all the embellishments and the 10x8 album allows for more creativity. I am torn!
I will probably end up with an album, the main kit, and 2-3 embellishments. I'm not sure if I will pick up any stamps. I found two brand new Studio Calico Christmas stamps in my stash last night that I don't remember buying and I want to use those in this year's album.

I think I've talked myself out of the main kit.
I really like most of the papers so I'm going to look through them and compare to the other paper pack to see if what I love is replicated there in a similar way.
I can make my own scallop pockets with tags. I can cut my own plastic trees (not sure how but I have some ideas - alcohol ink and plastic?) I can buy the frames from Elle's studio for a similar vibe. I can print my own vellum pieces or just use cardstock. I feel like the elements I liked were in the papers as well and the translucent factor isn't necessary for me.
BUT. I NEED the banners with the numbers for my calendar page. I have done one every single year since the very beginning. First I used Marie Lottermoser's (RIP, amazing beautiful designer).
Do I spend $60 for a handful of paper and a couple of embellishments when I don't need the rest?
I'm trying to figure it out.
Now I will look at the rest. I printed out the pages of the PDF that have my maybes.

I have done it for school activities. They hand cut and die cut very well. www.dollartree.com/colorful-plastic-index-dividers-8ct-packs/18470 I am sure Amazon has them too. I know they make ones that are more opaque as well .

Ooof those jumbled phrases. I can’t unsee the LE TIT SNO W Oh no 🤣🤣😵💫💀 AHHHH! Now I cannot unsee that General thoughts... Glad to see prices have not gone up from last year (its not cheap, but just glad its not more!). I went through my albums from the past 2 years and a brief look through my 2 big bins of DD stuff. I have some work to do this weekend to cull through what I know I will not use. I will definitely get a couple of albums and the main kit. I always use most of the main kit so it's worth the cost. Considering the mini kit this year for the first time in a while. Looks much more useable to me. Some things I probably will NOT get that I usually get: Extra paper pack, die cut bundle, word phrase stickers, Die cut inserts, transparencies. Most of those I either don't love the offerings this year (I like 2 of the die cut inserts but not the rest), or I just find I don't use up the product enough to justify the cost. I watched the Advent spoiler and after not getting it the past 2 years, I REALLY like several things. It's $$$, so I am going to have to think this one thru. If I buy less of the shop items, I can probably replace that spend with the Advent calendar. I think my favorite item is the large vellum shapes and I suspect that will sell out quickly.

I am so thankful I did an album his last year at home because now it looks even more differently than I expected it to.

Goodbye money : : Glad to see prices are in-line with last year. I love the tree print album, but I'm going to hold off (though that may fall into my box later, let's be honest). I will definitely go for the main kit, the extra papers, the die cut pack, the stencils, the large tree stamp, and maybe the tag stamp set.

Decision, decisions.
I am not sure what I will do. If I do a 4x6 album, I wont need much. But if I do a 6x8 album, I could get more use of the main kit. This year, Army son is coming home for 2 weeks in December + he's bringing home his best friend thats in his unit and then DS1 will be home for a day or so with his girlfriend. I should probably do a 6x8, right?
None of the stamps are particularly calling to me at their full price. If I found them on sale, I'd probably get the scallop gift tag set and the Paisley Press set (though, I wonder how much over lap there is with her previous stamps? I think I have all of the past ones).
Add On wise, I like the 6x8 chipboard, felt numbers (but I could cut my own), the plastic squares, and the merry merry paper pack & insert paper packs.
I do like the Paisley Press kit, but am wishy washy on if I should just buy the digital.
Whatever I end up buying, I know I will sell the items I wont use. I would never use some of the main, etc.

My struggle is I like a bit of almost everything. For instance, those jumbled big words. I would like ONE- not five. So do I want to pay 9.99 for one? Not really. The die cut pack- I like a handful. I really dislike the craft die cuts though. For some reason I have a negative reaction to those. So again, 9.99 for the couple die cuts I would like? 10x8 or 6x8 transparencies- I’d like a couple. I don’t need like 10. But if I talk myself out of most things like that, dd rolls around and it’s not as fun for me because I like having a bunch of options. The only stamp I like is the alpha with numbers. May or may not get. TBD.

I may get the advent calendar (spoiler alert)
it has a red cup sticker which frees me from the big vellum diecut pack. Lol. It has enough things to give me a variety of supplies and even though it’s $45 - it’s kind of like having more variety then getting 4 other shop items where I only want to use 1 or 2. It’s over priced but it’s also kinda meets my needs for variety.
FOMO happens and plans may fall to crap, but at this moment I am thinking: No album. I have an 8x10 I am planning to use Mini kit. But I only like half… but the half I like I really like. Digital is not an option for me advent calendar Merry paper pack speciality journal card paper pack Green felt numbers Tab stickers and probably two more shop items but I have to narrow it down between a lot I am considering … tree metal die, transparencies, plastic words, die cuts…
Honestly I’ll probably throw in that alpha stamp before the stamp deadline ends. Who are we kidding? 🤣

Popping in for my yearly holiday time hellos hope you guys have been well! I didn't have plans for DD but couldn't resist checking in on the goodies this year.. and seeing my favorite color block stripes used in so many things has me feeling all the feels. That tree album is beautiful too, but 6x8 feels daunting when the last thing I made was 5x5 lol Oh man this is it, this is what's (affectionately) dooming me! 😭😭 I love every single thing about this.

I also like a bit of everything.
I'm not sure yet, but I think I will get the digital main kit, and only order physical embellishments, specialty paper, that sort of thing.
First year I'll skip the advent calendar, I think.

Phew. I don't think I'll be spending as much as I had feared. I don't need stamps, or the die cuts, or any of the transparencies or extra paper.
I do want the main kit, 10x8 album, silkscreens, big felt numbers and I'm a sucker for phrase sticker sheets. Maaaybe the mini kit if I'm feeling saucy on pay day (the last day of the boxing period). The holiday prompt paper pack sounds really intriguing, suspect that will sell out in seconds too. I don't know if I can justify buying more than one album for other projects when international shipping costs the same as a 6x8 album. Bye bye, green trees album, you are beautiful but you are now my postage costs (I might still get the red 6x8 because it is stunning and will sell out, you can bet on that. 4x6 is cute, but I suspect we're going to be seeing a lot more of that size in the next year).

Do I like it enough to bother selling the other half and dealing with that on top of a full time job and a kid in high school doing all the things? No. So I will pass and just make it work. My plan was to spend a ton of money and copy all the layouts. But maybe what I want from the main kit someone else won't so I'll be good.

Here is my wish list from the main kit since I've decided not to buy it:
paper pennant die cuts couple of those scallop 4X4 cards cardstock scallop frames
I'm distracted by the vellum pieces/die cuts but I know I don't use them in my pages so I need to just stop. I can also print some if I NEED them.
So I feel better not buying it.
I might have some cute cardstock or chipboard frames.
Can someone who watched the spoiler of the advent calendar let me know if any of the doves or the scallop frames are in the advent calendar? PM me please.
I don't want to spoil it but know from having bought it in the past that it repeats items from the release in different ways (like as flat stickers).

Marked safe from the advent calendar. I watched the spoiler and there are only like three things I’d be excited to have. This is a big relief! 😅
I need to revisit the post and videos - I was interrupted and pulled away a dozen times during my first viewing - but I think the picks I already made are standing.

I have a PT appointment at 10:00, so I won't be able to log on until about an hour later. I'm hoping the red album with stars doesn't sell out. The only other item I want for sure is the Main Kit. I have bypassed it the past two years, but I really like it even if I need to cut down the pages.
I'm drawn to the felt numbers, but I don't understand how people use them. It's only 1-10, so do people just include them the first ten days?

I don't understand how people use them. It's only 1-10, so do people just include them the first ten days? I like to mix up my numbers throughout the album. A variety of chipboard numbers, stickers, stamps, Die-Cuts, etc. These will just be part of the assortment. I try not to repeat the same number type two days in a row, so I’d personally never use them for the first ten days in a streak. I could see using, for example, these numbers in days 4, 10, 17, 25. And the remaining 3, 6, 8, 9 would be added to my stash for future use.
