I have a PT appointment at 10:00, so I won't be able to log on until about an hour later. I'm hoping the red album with stars doesn't sell out. The only other item I want for sure is the Main Kit. I have bypassed it the past two years, but I really like it even if I need to cut down the pages. Your PT will have to wait 5 minutes while you shop on your phone. It will only take a minute to get the stuff you think will sell out. Then when you're done, pick up the rest. I've shopped a release on my phone and it went well. I was even in another country! I'm drawn to the felt numbers, but I don't understand how people use them. It's only 1-10, so do people just include them the first ten days? I like mixing up my numbers. I use a different font for each day. So I will either use the 25 for Xmas. Or use the 24 for the year. Probably the 25. Then I'll use the rest in a different year because I don't repeat. Picking out the number is a huge part of my process and one thing I truly love about the project.

I am definately getting the red 6x8 album and the main kit. Highly concidering the big bundle (I save all year for this project, whatever I don't use I will resell or donate at the end of the project). Totally unsure on the stamps. I want the new alpha stamp for sure, but unsure if I'll pick up any of the others.

Marg and mom, thank you north for the insight. I’m going to do the 10x8. I want this to be a really big, special December. My kids even agreed to see Santa which we haven’t done since I started this project. Seeing Santa is a great idea, I wish I had thought of that. I should have booked my son for a few more photo ops (like seeing Santa) for his last December at home. But, I still had a lot of good photos of fun activities that we did at home, like decorating cookies - which really gets out of hand at our house. Cherish every moment, because holy cow, nothing can prepare you for the mix of feelings when they leave home.

Just noticed the first spelling error - mistltoe 😇 Do I win a prize? Advent calendar item for those concerned so if you’re not buying that then you are fine 😁 paget I’m in the same boat where I only want one or two items from a lot of listings so I may just skip and see later in the boxing period blemon those are the items I don’t want from the main kit but I’m all the way in aus so not sure posting from here to you would be worth it if I pull the trigger I’m on the main kit (I’m still deciding!) Can’t stand the craft or vellum envelope (sizes and designs and colours) so easy skip on something I’d usually buy Most add on items I can make do with stash items Looks like my order may be more manageable than I first thought! In saying that, if I get all items including the “maybes” I’m looking at $270 usd… eek! My must buys are $125 though so with postage about $150 which I’m okay with 😁

I can’t get past the 13.00 shipping. Unless you are buying albums that is outrageous. I have never done DD and was contemplating this year as I like the product, but that shipping is too much for the items I like. If her prices were over all more reasonable I would be tempted, but I am not paying boutique prices and boutique shipping on top of it. There are plenty of other options for me. ***sobs quietly into her coffee as she contemplates the $29 postage charge starting off her order***

Nothing over sized. It won’t cost them anywhere near 13.00 to send. International shipping is just outrageous. I have never sent any package that cost less than 25. If I were interested in ordering albums or even the 10x8 paper the 13.00 wouldn’t be out of line. I would order the die cut shapes, the die cut scallops, the plastic squares, transparency and journal card set 3x8, and speciality journal cards. I just added almost the exact same items in my cart except I had to add 6x8 paper because there wasn’t anything I could find quickly that was 3x8 and the shipping was 6.00. Granted 7.00 isn’t going to break the bank, but I just hate that they do the flat rate. People should be able to close their box and just pay the actual shipping rate they would pay if it wasn’t December Daily.

I get it Lurkingpea - if I wasn’t ordering an album or two there would be no way I would be paying $29 to ship some die cut pages and would definitely wait until the boxing period was over!

Holy smokes there is alot of DD product! I got tired scrolling through the blog post!
I like the trees album and the 6x4 album. I almost contemplated doing DD with the 6X4 album, then remembered DD wasn't my jam.
I did like the ginger people stamp..until I realized that the tiny pieces would just annoy me, and quickly get lost.
I do like the big green felt numbers. You think they would offer extra " 2 5 " for a cover page.

Out of curiosity, a question for anyone:
Are you a “use the same numbers” for every day in your DD (e.g. always the same sticker sheet, die cuts, whatever) or a “use different style numbers” for each day kind of person?

I usually do the same numbers for continuity, last year I stamped and heat embossed them. This year I might just get the gold foil stickers. Part of me is really intrigued by the 6x4 album but I would have to work harder to make the products work with those 3x4 horizontal page protectors. I love the idea of 1 photo per day but I'm not sure about enough space to do some journalling. Would that album be big enough to handle some chunk?

Here is my wish list from the main kit since I've decided not to buy it: paper pennant die cuts couple of those scallop 4X4 cards cardstock scallop frames Have you considered the gold rimmed circles add on? I know you like to do the table of contents. They don't have numbers on them, but they would work well and you could just stamp the numbers on or add a sticker. In case you didn't want to get the whole main kit. I'm drawn to the felt numbers, but I don't understand how people use them. It's only 1-10, so do people just include them the first ten days? Are you a “use the same numbers” for every day in your DD (e.g. always the same sticker sheet, die cuts, whatever) or a “use different style numbers” for each day kind of person? I am a mix & match numbers person! I think most people are? I honestly don't think I've seen many people share their projects online that use the same number every day, although I do know way more people do this project than those who share it. I never use the same number in a row and try to only use the same type of number a few times in my album, so more options is better! I have a lot of numbers from previous years to pull from, but I like to add in a few new ones too. I think that they do the 1-10 only to keep the cost down and because most people mix and match, especially with a number of this size/thickness... I think it would be tough to get 25 of those in your album. I did like the ginger people stamp..until I realized that the tiny pieces would just annoy me, and quickly get lost. This is my favorite stamp! I do think that keeping stamps in sleeves prevents me from losing pieces, but I think a stamping platform is probably a must for this one. I already have a lot of ideas for it. I do like the big green felt numbers. You think they would offer extra " 2 5 " for a cover page. You could definitely use the 2 and 5 from the set for your cover page, but I would personally put a 24 on my cover page not a 25 (for the year). If anything, I'd like an extra 2 so I could write 2024! I think I will cut the 2024 out of the specialty journaling cards for my title page though, still not sure. Once all my products arrive I will play around a bit more before committing to something.

Different numbers. Most of my album is outside the page protector, I use all different size numbers.

Different. I also swap between spelling out the number or the number itself randomly.

I use different numbers -- stickers, die cuts, stamps, etc. I find that I either don't have enough of a particular style number set or its the wrong color or size to only use on set through my whole book.

I've shopped a release on my phone and it went well. I was even in another country! My physical therapist is very sweet, and it would probably take me less than 5 minutes for just two items! I have a feeling the album will go quickly because Ali is using the same one. I don't think the main kit sold out right away last year, but I didn't pay much attention because I only got the digitals. This will be only my third year doing DD, so it's interesting to hear how so many people vary the numbers. Last year, I cut out the number circles from a Paige Evans paper and used it for consistency. The colors and patterns were different, but they were the same size and style. I'll have to give this some thought. I'll probably get those felt numbers as long as they don't sell out.

I use different numbers each day and I love hunting for Antique or unusual items for my numbers. My sister got me a set of deli numbers, I hunt in Antique stores and Etsy for different numbers.

I stopped using numbers a while ago, when numbers were hard to come by. One year I hand painted a small wooden set gold, it was tedious but I liked the end result. If I did use numbers, I’m sure I would use the same for every day, that’s just how I roll.

I use the same numbers because I don't need one more thing to think about, but also because I've never wanted to deal with a bunch of random numbers after I'm done. There are years it's been hard because of what was offered or what was in the main kit. Some years I reconsider this, but still have always done the same set.
Speaking of numbers...how can we be halfway through the 2020s and companies still are not doing double the number of 2s on a sticker sheet???
I know I'm getting the main kit and the 10x8 album. I'll probably get the plastic squares, specialty journal cards and extra 10x8 paper (still considering the 10x8 specialty paper). I like some other embellishments (die cuts, die cut trees, etc. but haven't decided yet. I want to get the tree album for something else and possibly the 4x6 album but I haven't decided. I love the idea of the "one-number per sheet" sticker set, but I don't know if I want them in gold.

I spent some time this morning looking at my past albums to see what products got used. I love paper, so besides the 10x8 album and the main kit, I’m also adding the Merry 10x8 paper pack. Talked myself out of the die cut bundle, 3x8 transparency set and plastic squares, I can make or just don’t need.
In case anyone missed it, they will have 6x12 page protectors. Those have not been on the market anywhere.

I’m probably going to pull the trigger and get the main kit this year. The only items I don’t like are her handwritten plastic words and the gingerpeople (I hate cork). I’m in Canada and would be happy to sell those items, they would probably ship for less than $5 in Canada/USA if someone wants them.

I’m a different kind of number a day girl. I like mixing it up - size, color, style. It’s fun to hunt for something that goes with the vibe of the page each day. I use the same type of number no more than 2-3 times in an album. I think the white felt numbers were last year and I used two of them. I’ll use at least on those again this year, I’m sure.

I think the only two items I really wanted from the main kit were the gold words, and the white plastic words. I wish they would have been shop items instead of in the kit. I had a pretty big December Daily list made out yesterday, but the more I look at stuff the more I talk myself out of things. I have the same problem as someone else already mentioned, I usually only want part of each thing offered, which makes it hard to justify the price tags. I for sure want a mini kit and an album, but past that I’m still really not sure what I’ll actually end up with.

I'm not thrilled with the main kit. The only thing in that kit that I'll hate missing out on is the large gold words.
I like the papers in the mini kit, but I think I'll wait for the digital and print them myself. My favorite single item in this entire release is the red 6x8 paper with white stamps. Having the digital, I can change the background color to green for next year's DD and change it to any other color for a travel album.
The Christmas Tree album and 6x8 tree stamp are on my shopping list. I also like the 6x8 Holiday Tags stamp, but I think I'd rather use a scalloped die set and punch the ones I want to use for tags, but mostly use them for labels.
Along with the shop items I have on my wish list, my total is approximately $125, which is the least I've ever spent on Ali's DD products. Well, for now anyway. I usually get tempted by additional products I see being used in Product Play.

Last year was my first time buying anything DD from Ali and I only got an album and the envelopes. This year I think I like enough of the main kit I’m going to get it. I’ll also be picking up the tree album. I’m toying with getting the specialty journal card set, the 6x8 transparencies, and the advent calendar. I’d like to get the mini kit, paper pack, and die cuts digitally.
I’m happy I don’t need the stamps. I’ll pick up whatever Shimelle offers as I love what she puts out. I may get the classes…not sure yet on that either. Oh, I’ll get the pin. I’m a sucker for enamel pins.
As for numbers in my album, I’ve done both where I’ve mixed it up and used all the same. It depends on how I’m feeling that year. This year I’ve decided not to use numbers at all for the very first time. That tiny change has me super excited about this project.

Ack! I like the mini kit as well. I've used Liz's products in the past, and they are so usable for my style of scrapbooking. I like having double-sided cards so if one side doesn't fit with my story, I can always use the other side. What I like most about her kit, though, is that shade of RED. It's gorgeous.
I don't have to use all of the products this year, do I? It's ok to save some for next year?
