So, the new Covid booster was approved. Will you get it?

I was very lucky to not have a bad reaction to the shingles shot. With both of them, I just had a very sore arm. 

Back to the topic, I will definitely be getting the new Covid shot and my flu shot this year. Covid has been making the rounds around my family and I've heard that it's still going strong. I work from home so I'm not exposed to so many people but better safe than sorry!

Uh yeah! Been waiting or it to be approved. This summer variant is no joke.

We do Covid boosters in Sept and flu shots in Oct.

Dd can not get typical vaccines but can get the Covid vaccine.

It's very important we vaccinate to keep her safe, our selves, and our community.

It is already being shipped out and my pharmacy said 1st or 2nd week of Sept for appointments to start.

Sorry you feel off from it! I’m due for my second shingles shot and I’m dreading it. Just waiting for a time when I don’t have a thousand things going on at once and I can be down for a couple days to schedule it.

I’m definitely getting the new Covid vax too along with my annual flu shot. My kid is starting high school this year in a building with 2000+ other kids, and I’ve been hearing this latest round of Covid is spreading like wildfire. I’ll do whatever I can to lower my chances of getting really sick.

I'll get it but have to wait 2-3 months - just got over my first round of covid. My last booster was end of Oct last year so about 10 months ago. I got booster and flu shot same day last year and just had a sore arm, slightly tired.

I had the same experience as peabay after my first shingles shot and my doctor warned me the second was usually worse so I cleared a couple days in my schedule for the second shot and then…no reaction at all. Hope for the same for you!

I am, thank you! Luckily it’s been mild, just annoying because I’m dealing with rebound symptoms after Paxlovid just like the first time I had it a couple of years ago.

I had my second shingles vaccine a couple of weeks ago, but I made a real rookie error and took my weekly immunosuppressant meds the following morning. Just like they tell you not to do. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I spent almost the entire week afterwards in bed. I will never make that mistake again! 

And yes, I will get any boosters recommended. 

Yes! I had my last shot year ago before the updated vaccine came out, needed it for work travel requirements and couldn't wait. With coordination issues I never got around to that update, and thought about it with every little micro outbreak near me.
The shot will be less worrisome.

We usually get our boosters in November or December.

Yes we will all get the COVID booster and flu shot in our house. We usually get the flu shot in September. I think we will wait until October for the COVID booster.

Sorry you are having such a bad reaction. My arm was sore for about a week and then I had a rash that lasted at least a month it didn’t hurt or itch but it was still annoying. I don’t think I had a bad reaction the second time just a sore arm for a few days.


I’m not sure I will get the Covid shot this time. I have gotten all the rest. About a month or so after the last one I realized that the chest pains I was having may have been related and then remembered having the same thing but milder a while back. Not sure if related but since the cases are pretty mild vs the first few variants I am thinking about passing. I’m also wondering if we had it the end of June husband tested but wondering if he had tested longer if it would have shown as Covid. I didn’t test as it said not to test if you get bloody noses and I was having a dry nose and getting a bit of blood - happens when it’s dry I get a sore I think. The “cold” we had lingered and it was up and down for a few weeks. Feel better and then a few days later feeling. Sick again. Sore throat and lots of coughing. I hadn’t been sick in a long time. I’m not sure if I had been sick since before Covid. To our knowledge we have avoided it. This was going around my husband’s office and over a month of so about half got it

If I worked with a lot of people or was immune compromised I would get one.
