Who's in?
I am not doing a separate album but will be putting all the crafty goodness into my Project Life.
My plan is absolutely a two page spread for the week but with inserts for all the Halloween events.
What format are you using?
Any fun collections?
Let's do this!

WOOHOOOO! October Daily thread, here we motherpumpkin goooo! I have no idea what I'm doing this year but I'll for sure be documenting daily in one way or another - even if it's just in my memory planner. There is a new dog in the family and I've already bought her a Halloween sweater. My priorities are sorted out, thank you very much. 🤪 Nothing crazy happening for me this October as I'm taking on a new job (yay) so no time off just yet but PSL, 2 chihuahuas in seasonal sweaters, nature changing, horror movies and other small things will be plenty enough to document and get excited about.

Vertical 4x6 mini? Jamaica Makes-style.
I'm suddenly thinking vertical 4x6. Yes, vertical 4x6 sounds good. Tempting even. Very tempting. Hmmm...

Both my parents are having surgery in October, and DD has about five orthodontist appointments... not the greatest stuff to be documenting. I also haven't finished last year's album. I might finish up last years album or just do a few pages for this year...

As long as I can get last year's December Daily finished by the end of September, I'm in! We've got quite a few good things happening over October, a couple of gigs/theatre things, my eldest turns into a teenager, I have tickets to Kew Gardens' Halloween trail but best of all I'm taking the kids to Paris for a couple of nights. I've got a couple of 6x8 folders to use up so I'll probably use one of them, but I really want to do a 4x6 mini. Hmm. Maybe a 6x8 for most of the month and then a 4x6 for Paris which can then nestle in the bigger album once it's done?
Also really toying with getting Ali Edwards' Halloween kit. Do I need it? No. Is it cute? Yes.

I ordered the Paige Evans Tricks & Treats mini book and extra page protectors. My kids want to have a Halloween party, and I plan on documenting it with this adorable album and the rest of her collection.

I could kick myself for not ordering Paige’s paper that matches the mini, to make my own mini book cover. I don’t love the 4x4 size, I would have preferred at least a 4x6. Such a cute collection!
Edited, so I can answer the actual post.
I will be digging out some old Halloween paper to document our October in 12x12 pages for my PL. And I hope to get my hands on some old childhood Halloween photos of both dh and I, to use Ali’s collection from last year.

Me! I have last year's kit from Ali, will be getting this year's kit from her as well. I plan on using a Heidi Swapp's spell book from last year. My kids are 17+ but I still have quite a few Halloween things to scrapbook. Every year my high schoolers dress up with their friend group. We have ghost photo shoots from years ago, pet costumes. And Halloweekend in college is a BIG deal. Multiple costumes and lots of fun.

Have either of you seen the Paige Evans mini? Yes, so cute! It's also very funny to see AC go back to these mini albums from the WRMK days. I'll be making my own covers for this project, I think. But even if I wanted the Tricks & Treats album, I think it'd be difficult. Still no vendors stocking this collection in France or Spain at the moment. I have a feeling that just like what happend with last year's Paige Evans Christmas collection, most European stockists will get the leftover crumbs two months later, alas. That is such a fun and charged programme! Yay for Paris, too. I don't see how you can not do OD this year so you better get crackin' and finish that DD! Both my parents are having surgery in October, and DD has about five orthodontist appointments... not the greatest stuff to be documenting. Happy Health-oween to your entire family! I hope everyone will get through October without too much pain. It certainly does not sound like a fun month to document at all for you. So sorry it's all happening at once.

Not a dedicated album. But as always I do layouts/pocket pages for:
Ds and dd picking out their costume and trying it on
Pumpkin patch
Oak Glen (apple orchard farms)
Pumpkin decoration contest for disability group we belong to
Halloween night
Dogs costumes
Decorations (inside/outside)
Halloween decorations drive around town
Kids and their dogs in their costumes
The scary coffee shop for unique drinks themed after horror films
Possibly the Autism trunk or treat event
And new this year will be:
Dd at her volunteer internship event for the community
Haunted hay ride

I might finish up last years album or just do a few pages for this year... If she will have actual braces on, she could do orange and black bands. I used to choose holiday colors. Orange and black for Halloween, red and green for Christmas, red and yellow for fall, pink and purple for Easter, red and blue for summer, and rain ow for my birthday month. They even have shapes now. I have seen mickey heads and stars. Hope the surgeries go smoothly!!

Not a daily album. I *should* just stick to PL with inserts to keep it simple, but I'm really feeling like making a homemade mini. . .

I seriously considered it this year but then we booked a long weekend away over the kids' Fall Break. I know I will make a separate album for that which means I don't need a separate October Daily, too. I'll have plenty of October-y pages (in addition to the autumn-y things we do over Fall Break) in our regular family album, and that will have to suffice for now. I told DH that I was decorating the house for fall this weekend to which he said, "Already?!" Does he even know me?! September - December is the best part of the year.

I love HALLOWEEN. I'm absolutely doing an album.
This year I'm doing 6x8 with a mix of sizes (Some traveler, some 3x8, Larger folding pages) and a variety of page protectors including flip ones.
I plan on using whatever I have that feels right. I have more than enough to keep it interesting and give me variety.
Stuff I'm thinking I'm going to document this year:
- Halloween Candy (Favs and what we're handing out)
- Any New Halloween Decor
- My Husband's Halloween / Fall Coffee
- Halloween / Fall Speciality Foods
- Halloween Mugs
- Favorite Fall/Halloween Scents
- Halloween Movies/TV show I'm watching
- Favorite Villains (Last year I did Fav. Witches)
- Since I follow Football I'll include something for my fav. College and NFL team I follow.
- Halloween Clothes
- Halloween Pajamas - I have new ones this year.
- Hanging out outside now that's it's cooler out.
- My Pets
- Weather how it's cooler but still warm
- Cozy stuff : sweatshirt, blanket, if it's cool enough to make cider or hot chocolate
- Halloween jewelry - New Pumpkin earrings this year
- Retro - Halloween Memories - Stuff from years ago
- Neighborhood Halloween decorations
My album just becomes a hodge hodge of Halloween & Fall favorite things.

So, yeah, I think you’ll be lucky to see any of it in Europe I don’t understand how they can get these things so wrong so often, especially with a designer they seem to have massive success with. Maybe they need to ask some different people to predict if a collection will be popular. BTW Waffle Flower has a really cute Halloween release out now if anyone is looking for stencils, dies, and stamps. waffleflower.com/

I’m obsessed with both Waffle Flower cuteness and the Tim Holtz ghosts and spooky scenes in the Stampers Anonymous release, even though they’re opposite Halloween vibes.

I'm almost done making a junk journal style album out of a "Nightmare Before Christmas" Little Golden Book.
What's left of my scrapbook stash is in storage while we wait for our house to be rebuilt. (Our house--and almost us along with it--was demolished by a huge oak tree in a January storm. There is so much bureaucracy involved that we're still in demo phase).
So, I'll pick up bits and pieces to complete it, but I have no plans to use a specific collection.
I'm glad I was able to save my October album from last year; we did so many fun seasonal things. Unfortunately, I think my previous albums were destroyed, but I may be surprised when we eventually unpack.

I had no idea you were still having problems with the whole process. That sucks.

I remind myself that being inconvenienced and alive is better than the alternative. As for my albums, I'll be happy to see what turns up; I know some survived. Meanwhile, the spooky season looms and I am making plans . . .

Yes, it is intermittently stressful, bolstered by short periods of optimism. 😄 Oh, you would be amazed at the subjects of modern Little Golden Books! They are very topical with biographies, pop culture, seasonal, and Disney/Pixar, in addition to the classics. There are multiple tutorials on YouTube for various ways to turn them into journals, and they're a great size for that purpose. "I Am 'Elphaba" and "I Am Glinda" from Wicked are coming out next month. I'm on my phone and can't post a pretty link, but here is their site: littlegoldenbooks.com/

I need to complete last year's album which I started but then ran out of dopamine to finish. That's in a Life Crafted album from Citrus Twist. This year I'm going to make myself a little travellers notebook to document in, so it will just be a scattering of Halloween/October-related stories.
I haven't grabbed any new supplies... yet. I have a large tub full of Halloween supplies so I certainly don't NEED any. But I will probably consider grabbing some pieces from Elle's Studio, maybe Ali Edwards and Heidi Swapp (once I've seen the full release). Studio Calico aren't releasing anything this year which I'm a bit bummed about because I really like their aesthetic from the last couple of years.

For the last two years, my album was more of a Fall album. I had outdoorsy and Fall themed stories from September (just a couple) and stuff like that from October as well. The Fall colors really cut the black/white/orange aesthetic of most of the Halloween collections. 20232022I love these albums so much. For a few of the posts, I have more than one page so you have to swipe.

I won’t do an October Daily, but I’ve been working on a compilation Halloween album for a few years, and I’ll add to that. I still have a lot of past years to add to it.

I will do something in my HP for Oct. I have been doing different things on the monthly spread versus the weeks, so have to think of what I want to do. It may be along the lines of my fav Halloween entertainment/media bcz that sticks out for me in October.

I just added the Halloween kit and die cut pack to my box for September (October sbtm) at AE.
I have loved these kits and used the heck out of them.
Off to Heidi Swapp.
