In my red area people are praising him saying that he won and she just lied the whole time. That the hosts were siding with her and not fair because they didn’t fact check her. She had the questions ahead of time. Blah blah blah. She didn’t answer questions. Sorry but he just repeated the same lies. She actually had something to say was articulate vs just getting pissy.
I’m glad she did do well and I knew that the right wouldn’t just come around but the denial is extreme. I hope sone that were undecided actually heard what she had to say. I also like that she has her views clearly on her website.

One thing that really got under my skin is when he said, "She is black/not black and I hear she 'puts out'". This coming from a man who will, "grab them by the pussy". Dear Lord, how did I miss that? Christian pastor cousin thought that this was a great and funny quote by Trump. Yup, he'll be snoozed u til November

After trying to point out all of the hundreds of reasons not to vote for Trump and getting sucked in to those types of debates I have decided that if I feel the need to engage just will simply say that I don’t support rapists, felons or malignant narcissists to be in positions of power. And try to leave it at that. It seems that the very basic things that should be disqualifying him are lost in the fray.

Vance seems to offend people, women in particular, with every comment. Not going to win hearts and minds by insulting Taylor Swift. To his point - I agree that many entertainers, actors, actresses, professional athletes may be disconnected from financial realities that many Americans face. But, I think he could have said something without insulting her. He sounds like a child lashing out because they were not picked. www.nytimes.com/live/2024/09/11/us/harris-trump-debate-electionSpeaking on Fox this afternoon, Senator JD Vance of Ohio, Trump’s running mate, said that even if many admire her music, Taylor Swift was “a billionaire celebrity who I think is fundamentally disconnected from the interests and the problems of most Americans.” Does JD say the same thing about the billionaire who is running for President? Talk about being disconnected from the interests and problems of most Americans.

He just smacked himself in the face. Taylor Swift-2. Donald Trump-0.

Jimmy Kimmel Live reported that the pet eating story started with a fb post which was picked up by JD Vance. When questioned on it, JD said that "people are calling" his office about it. So each day this week, Jimmy has been posting JD's office number and telling his audience "Do NOT call this number to ask..." a different rediculous question.

Vance is at it again, denigrating our Country and claiming we are not prosperous!! Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) left many observers -- including several conservatives -- stunned on Thursday when he seemed to suggest the United States of America was not a prosperous nation.During an appearance on CNBC, Vance made the case that America was ill-served by having immigrants come into the country to work as low-cost laborers. "We (basically) are [the most prosperous country in the world]," observed Washington Examiner journalist Brad Polumb. "I wouldn't attribute America's wealth solely to immigration, but which country does Vance believe is more prosperous than America?" asked Dominic Pino, a Thomas L. Rhodes Journalism Fellow at the National Review Online. x.com/brad_polumbo/status/1834247182108496123Michael Strain, an economist at the center-right American Enterprise Institute, found himself amazed that Vance seemed unaware of America's current economic condition. "The gloom and doom from populists is so extreme that it runs head on into basic facts," he argued. "Yes, of course, we have serious problems. But America is a great nation." And Mark Salter, a longtime friend and adviser to the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), simply responded to Vance's claims by writing, "What a dumba--."www.rawstory.com/jd-vance-2669190332/

Is there something wrong with us? Are we not supposed to believe the mayor and Police Chief of Springfield OH when they say there are no reports of the Republicans claims about stolen pets being eaten...??...?? Marianne Williamson says we should listen to the citizens of Springfield, they aren't reporting issues, but ..... Full text.. Continuing to dump on Trump because of the “eating cats” issue will create blowback on Nov. 5. Haitian voodoo is in fact real, and to dismiss the story out-of-hand rather than listen to the citizens of Springfield. Ohio confirms in the minds of many voters the stereotype of Democrats as smug elite jerks who think they’re too smart to listen to anyone outside their own silo. x.com/marwilliamson/status/1834230977788313677

He has posted another lengthy rant on his truth social.. "I won the Debate, but was criticized by the Radical Left Lunatics because I looked 'angry and forceful,'" Trump wrote. "But think, why wouldn’t I be angry? I love the U.S.A., and it is being destroyed by grossly incompetent leadership." Trump delivered this missive even as swing state voters, Fox News anchors and even a clinical psychiatrist expressed their concerns over the bitter responses he delivered during the ABC News-hosted debate Tuesday night. *** "Am I supposed to be smiling, like Comrade Kamala Harris, with her FAKE one-and-a-half hour smile and long practiced facial expressions, despite all of the problems that she and Crooked Joe have caused," Trump wrote. "No," Trump concluded, "there’s nothing to smile about." www.rawstory.com/trump-angry-debate/

www.nytimes.com/2024/09/12/arts/television/jimmy-kimmel-trump-debate.htmlJimmy Kimmel Chides Trump for His Debate Performance “More than 67 million Americans watched the debate on television last night, and of that 67 million, the only one who seems to think Trump did a good job is Donald Trump,” Kimmel said.
“I had a liberal elite day today. I woke up, I ate a big cat for breakfast, then I had a baby, then I had an abortion right after that, and then I went to pick up my kids from their mandatory transgender surgery operations after school. And now, I’m back here spreading Marxist propaganda on TV. That’s how we do it.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
“This morning, Trump said the debate was rigged and that ABC should be shut down for fact-checking him, but that he still thought he did great. Then ABC fact-checked him again and said, ‘You did not.’” — JIMMY FALLON
“Yeah, everyone thought Harris seemed really prepared while Trump was like, ‘My homework was eaten by a dog that was eaten by people in Ohio.’” — JIMMY FALLON
“This pet-eating brain worm got into Trump’s skull through JD Vance, who’s been spreading a racist rumor that Haitian immigrants are abducting people’s pets and eating them in Ohio. This is a good time to remind you: please remember to spay or neuter your JD Vance. We don’t want more of that.” — STEPHEN COLBERT

Conflict in Ohio.. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost defends conspiracy chorus about Haitians in SpringfieldSpringfield public buildings and a local elementary school had to be closed Thursday due to bomb threats By: Marty Schladen - September 13, 2024 5:00 am Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost on Wednesday did his bit to amplify a conspiracy theory that Haitian immigrants legally present in Springfield, Ohio are stealing and eating pets, ducks and geese. The conspiracy has been debunked by the Springfield mayor, city manager and chief of police, as well as by Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine. Yost is looking to succeed DeWine as governor in 2026.“Citizens testified to City Council,” Yost posted on X Wednesday. “These people would be competent witnesses in court. Why does the media find a carefully worded City Hall press release better evidence?” Many of Springfield’s public buildings were closed for much of the day Thursday due to bomb threats after former President Donald Trump on Tuesday repeated a widely debunked conspiracy theory that Haitian immigrants were stealing people’s pets and eating them. “They’re eating the dogs. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there,” he said during a debate with Vice President Kamala Harris. ohiocapitaljournal.com/2024/09/13/ohio-attorney-general-dave-yost-joins-conspiracy-chorus-about-haitians-in-springfield/

How the 'stealing pets, eating dogs and cats' started.. It just exploded': Woman who sparked Trump's migrant pet-eating hoax comes forwardMatthew Chapman September 13, 2024 9:24PM ET The woman who appears to have inadvertently sparked a viral far-right hoax that Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, are kidnapping and eating people's cats and dogs has come forward to say she regrets that her social media post caused so much confusion. Former President Donald Trump even promoted the claim at the presidential debate on Tuesday, and had to be shut down by moderators. Meanwhile, schools in the area have had to be evacuated for bomb threats, including one that specifically mentioned the false claims. It turns out that the rumor can be traced to one woman's Facebook post, reported NBC — and she is coming forward to apologize for all the chaos it created.According to the report, Erika Lee, a resident of Springfield, posted to Facebook commenting on a neighbor's cat who had gone missing — and mentioned that the neighbor had been suspicious the cat might have been attacked by Haitians who lived in the neighborhood. There was no evidence to support the claim. Moreover, cats often go missing for various reasons, especially those allowed to wander outside. Lee said she feels bad that her post exploded into a xenophobic panic against the Haitian community, and for the confusion and fear the post caused. “It just exploded into something I didn’t mean to happen,” she told NBC News. Trump has not offered any apology or retraction for his claims about the Haitian migrants in Springfield. He has even suggested that if elected, his administration will order mass deportations of the migrants from Springfield. www.rawstory.com/trump-migrant-hoax/

TFG is going to deport the LEGAL TPS immigrants in Springfield OH who are from Haiti and send them to Venezuela. x.com/Acyn/status/1834664115618693390On Thursday he used the lie to promote the candidacy of a Republican seeking to unseat Ohio Democratic U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown. And on Friday, despite the bomb threat and other unspecified threat, Trump said in a press conference he would travel to Springfield and vowed to do “large deportations” from that city and send the legal immigrants he removes to Venezuela. The “20,000 illegal Haitian migrants” are reported 12,000 to 15,000, ABC News reports, and they are not “illegal.” They are in the country legally, and the town as far back as a decade ago resolved to invite immigrants to help rebuild their failing economy and businesses. Also on Friday, while reportedly not repeating the racist pet-eating lie, Trump dismissed the bomb threats as unimportant.www.rawstory.com/trump-migrant-hoax/

Really great explanation of how the story started and the consequences of Trump and Vance spreading these vicious rumors heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/september-13-2024After bomb threats today, officials had to evacuate two elementary schools in Springfield, Ohio, and move the students to a different location. They had to close a middle school altogether. This is the second day bomb threats have closed schools and public buildings after MAGA Republicans have spread the lie that Haitian immigrants there have been eating white people's pets. Haitian immigrants, who were welcomed to Springfield by officials eager to revitalize the city and who are there legally, say they are afraid. Hunter Walker and Josh Kovensky of Talking Points Memo today explained where the lie had come from and how it had spread. More than two months ago, they wrote, Ohio senator J.D. Vance, who is Trump’s vice presidential running mate, began to speak about Springfield at a Senate Banking Committee hearing, trying to tie rising housing prices to immigrants. The next day, at the National Conservatism conference, Vance accused “illegals” of overwhelming the city. On August 10, about a dozen neo-Nazis of the “Blood Tribe” organization showed up in Springfield, where one of their leaders said the city had been taken over by “degenerate third worlders” and blamed the Jews for the influx of migrants. The neo-Nazis stayed and, on August 27, showed up at a meeting of the city council, where their leader threatened council members. On September 1, another white supremacist group, Patriot Front, held its own “protest to the mass influx of unassimilable Haitian migrants” in the city. Right-wing social media posters pushed the story, usually with “witnesses” to events in the city coming from elsewhere. In late August, posting in a private Facebook group, a resident said they had heard that Haitian immigrants had butchered a neighbor’s cat for food. Vance reposted that rumor to attack Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, on whom he is trying to hang undocumented immigration although it was Trump who convinced Republicans to kill a strong bipartisan border bill this spring. Springfield police and the city manager told news outlets there was no truth to the rumors. Nonetheless, on September 10, Vance told his people to “keep the cat memes flowing,” even though—or perhaps because—the rumors were putting people in his own state in danger. Trump repeated the lie at the presidential debate that night, claiming, “In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, the people that came in, they’re eating the cats. They’re eating, they’re eating the pets of the people that live there.” Today, President Joe Biden demanded Trump stop his attacks on Haitian-Americans, but Trump doubled down, promising to deport the Haitian immigrants in Springfield if he is elected, although they are here legally. The widespread ridicule of Trump’s statement has obscured that this attack on Ohio’s immigrants is part of an attempt to regain control of the Senate. Convincing Ohio voters that the immigrants in their midst are subhuman could help Republicans defeat popular Democratic incumbent senator Sherrod Brown, who has held his seat since 2007. Brown and Montana’s Jon Tester, both Democrats in states that supported Trump in 2020, are key to controlling the Senate.

Vance will just not stop... Keeps defending his actions and says more disgusting rhetoric, which he knows are not true!!! Vance made a lengthy post on X, writing: "If you were to ask what caused me to change my tune about President Trump from 2016 to 2020, I could give you a few reasons. But what we're seeing in Springfield really drives it home."Vance cited "skyrocketing" housing prices, as well as rising cases of communicable diseases, crashes, crimes and even insurance premiums. He also decried the government's response to those alleged societal ills. "Confronted with many of their citizens begging for relief, our broken elites offer only scorn," he said. Vance then alluded to a racist and baseless conspiracy theory in the city, which he and Trump perpetuated this week. "'It is racist,' they tell us, to get angry at being unable to afford a home, or to complain about being unable to drive a car safely down the streets paved by your neighbors, or to call 911 because strangers are slaughtering geese in a public park. They have ignored this town's problems for years."Vance said he and Trump condemn violence and threats of such against the city and its residents, defended Trump against accusations he's a "threat to democracy" and then lodged the same accusation against Vice President Kamala Harris, doing so by espousing shades of Great Replacement Theory, a racist conspiracy theory that immigrants are being brought into the country to pad Democratic voter rolls. "It is Kamala Harris who would rather import new voters than persuade the ones who are already here," he said. Mehdi Hasan, a British-American journalist who previously hosted "The Mehdi Hasan Show" on MSNBC, slammed Vance's comments on X. "You’re a racist disgrace and I hope your mixed-race kids, the grandchildren of brown immigrants from the ‘third world’, grow up and disown you. Fellow journalist Meghan McCarthy joined Hasan in rebuking Vance. "If this has been happening in Springfield since 2016 why haven’t you done anything about it? And why haven’t local leaders been voted out?"McCarthy added: "You can dress this dog whistle for violence in all the purple prose you want, but everyone knows your kids get secret service protection at school while the kids who evacuated today get to be pawns in your game." www.rawstory.com/j-d-vance-2669204178/x.com/JDVance/status/1834785910635794774
