The Welsh are right... But then we have this... I this but a voter again Or Should they trust him...?? Former President Donald Trump revealed Friday a new plan to help Americans affected by two recent and catastrophic hurricanes — and prepare for future ones. Trump explained the nuances of his plan to help the nation in a 140-word Truth Social post. *** North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and, always, Louisiana, Texas, and other States," Trump wrote. "Due to the unusual activity of Storms, Hurricanes, and Tornadoes, and other Natural Disasters, especially in well-reported parts of our Country, when I win the Presidential Election of 2024, on November 5th, the Most Important Day in the History of our Country, we are going to allow you, retroactive to September 1st, 2024, to purchase a Generator for your Home."Trump told Americans they would be able to deduct "the TOTAL cost of said Generator for Income Tax Purposes" to help them deal with "what our Country is going through."However, the offer would only be good if he wins the presidency as he has no power to put it in place otherwise. The former president took a shot at the White House, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Vice President Kamala Harris for a "poor response" he argued could not compare to his proposed tax deduction. *** Trump's generator plan comes as he faces criticism from Democrats and Republicans for spreading conspiracies and lies about the federal response to the natural disasters that experts say put lives at risk. www.rawstory.com/trump-tax-cut-2669381662/A tax deduction is of little use to most Americans. But Trump wouldn't know that, or care. His stupid supporters will hear that and think he's offering them free generators.

This from Mike Johnson popped up… ”This unfathomable lawsuit from the Biden-Harris Administration proves what @housegop has been saying all along: Democrats WANT non-American citizens voting in American elections. Restoring faith, trust, and confidence in our elections starts with clean and accurate voter rolls.” And was in response to this from Youngkin, another lying Republican Governor…. ”With less than 30 days until the election, the Biden-Harris Department of Justice is filing an unprecedented lawsuit against me and the Commonwealth of Virginia, for appropriately enforcing a 2006 law to remove noncitizens from the voter rolls. Virginians - and Americans - will see this for exactly what it is: a desperate attempt to attack the legitimacy of the elections in the Commonwealth, the very crucible of American Democracy. governor.virginia.gov/newsroom/news-“ So I asked Google and there is a Federal Law that in part says one can’t purge the voter rolls 90 days before an election. And it’s the DOJ filing the suit and not Biden-Harris because is their job when someone breaks Federal Laws. x.com/speakerjohnson/status/1844908220508406269?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nw

Most other people you can at least figure out what they are talking about but he makes no sense he uses the wrong word, wrong name, wrong place it just jumbled a lot of words into a phrase. Word salad. Then there is the weaving that can go on for five minutes or more like the shark and batteries, windmills with no wind, childcare. He never gets to the point so many times. Of course he is understandable when he talks about genes and that they make them murderers. We know it’s not true but we understand what he thinks. So ironic that he describes himself so often.

She makes some great points about Trump spreading false claims. Trump will say anything if he thinks it will help him. And the MAGA machine magnifies those claims. Trump is willing to say anything for his political gain. He wants people to be confused and enraged. Jen Psaki

I live in Orange County. We have chosen to be on a plan with our electric company that gives them the option to turn off our ACs as needed during high use events to help the grid. I don't think it has happened in the last 2 or 3 yrs. And it hasn't happened this year even when it was 112 outside which was a record in my book for our area. Yet I know at least 2 Rumpers on my street and several more in the neighborhood who advertise their hate. 😵💫

Too stupid to understand that they will face the same situation particularly if they live in a blue or purple state!! He thinks he will hold our money. We pay part of the red states bills. You want to know an interesting fact about generators that Trump probably doesn’t know? Someone has to *be there* to keep refilling them with fuel every so often. We recently had a multiple day power outage in our area. We have a gas generator that we fire up in such situations so we can keep our well pump running and our freezers and refrigerator going. We briefly considered going to stay at our lake place as an option until the power came back on until we realized if we did that, the generator keeping our stuff going would eventually run out of fuel and we’d lose everything in our fridge and freezers. The problem with giving someone a generator (even if it’s free) is that they can’t use it if no one is THERE to keep it fueled. How many people will resist evacuating when they really should, if they think they can get by with staying home and running their generator? And where are they going to get the fuel for it if everyone else evacuates? If gas stations run out of gas because everyone else is evacuating? It’s all so dumb. I’d venture a guess that most people / families just take the standard deduction and don’t itemize anymore, so saying you’ll give someone a tax deduction for a generator purchase wouldn’t do them any good at all.

Yes, we're very familiar with the trouble of keeping a generator running. Whether it's difficulty finding gas or staying somewhere else (with AC!) and having to come back twice a day to make sure everything is gassed up and running ... it's a last resort option. After Harvey, several people in my neighborhood got whole-home generators that run off of natural gas, and then this year after Beryl, a third of them didn't work when needed. We need to be investing in hardening our power grid and burying lines where possible, not giving people tax deductions for an option of last resort.

LOL, I was pretty sure YOU knew, and pretty sure Trump doesn’t know about such things (he has people for that, most probably) that mere peons like us need to know for ourselves. You’re absolutely right. There are so many parts of our infrastructure that could use upgrades. After this last storm DH mentioned something about upgrading our gas generator for one that runs on natural gas since we have several gas appliances in our home already. In the end we didn’t consider it further because what we have works for the few times every 2-3 years that we need it.

So the idiot had a rally in Chowchilla, CA yesterday. It’s in the Central Valley kind of in the middle of nowhere.
One had to be bussed from the parking lot to where the rally was. At the end of the rally there were no buses to bus the folks back to their cars which was a 2 hour walk from the rally site. Apparently one bus did show up but a lot of folks had to walk back to their cars.
It occurred to me while listening to this that one of the reasons the idiot held the rally so far away from parking to the point folks had to take buses to and from the parking lot was to stop people from leaving in the middle of his rallies.
And yes I have no doubt he would do that because that’s the kind of person he is.

It is not really the middle of nowhere as there are a lot of homes, resorts, and casinos out there. A lot of snowbirds go there in the winter, and there are a lot of rich people that go to the area. But, it is the desert. Temperatures were in the 100's as people waited in the sun to get in. I saw one video of someone having issues with heat stroke. Parking for events at Coachella are far, there are shuttle buses to get people from the parking area to the stages. And he probably picked Coachella because it is the only California House district he won in 2020. ETA - There is a Chowchilla in California, that is in the Central Valley, but that is not where Trump held his rally.

However if the SS was somehow involved and went against them it would be on SS and not TFG unless he was saying what to do. They are used to huge crowds for festivals.

Another reason why Trump's mis and disinformation regarding FEMA is dangerous www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2024/10/13/federal-officials-nc-temporarily-relocated-amid-report-armed-militia-email-shows/Hurricane recovery officials in N.C. relocated amid report of ‘armed militia,’ email shows Safety fears are growing as misinformation collides with a large-scale federal recovery effort.
LAKE LURE, N.C. — Federal emergency response personnel on Saturday had employees operating in hard-hit Rutherford County, N.C., stop working and move to a different area because of concerns over “armed militia” threatening government workers in the region, according to an email sent to federal agencies helping with response in the state.
The heightening tension has resulted in residents harassing federal employees, said Riva Duncan, a Forest Service official who lives in Asheville.
Duncan, who is also a representative with the Grassroots Wildland Firefighters, said people have been yelling at federal employees delivering aid or showing up to do repairs, saying, “We don’t want your help here.”
One Forest Service employee, she said, was pulling into a gas station when someone yelled at him to leave, saying “We don’t want the government here.”
“It’s terrible because a lot of these folks who need assistance are refusing it because they believe the stuff people are saying about FEMA and the government,” Duncan said. “And it’s sad because they are probably the ones who need the help the most.”

Former president Donald Trump said in an interview that aired Sunday that he is worried about the prospect of unspecified actions by what he dubbed “radical left lunatics” on Election Day, urging that the National Guard or U.S. military be deployed on American soil against those he labeled “the enemy from within.”

That is so sad. It should be criminal to make such false claims. These people believe him but really need help that is freely being offered and then for the workers to fear for their lives just doing their job is beyond wrong. But oh if elected then these same workers will be sent down there again and all of a sudden they will be good. Seriously he needs to lose. I know they believe him and will vote for him but I still feel bad for them as so many have lost everything. It’s a sad situation. One made so much worse by TFG.

Some comments about that rally in CA..
”live here. Every year, the Coachella and Stage Coach music festivals run smoothly with buses constantly making the rounds to pick up and drop off attendees. This is a failure on the organizers for the Trump rally. Period.”
”Conspiracy theorist are out in full force on this one. They know blaming the organizers of the event would be an admission of their incompetence so are needing to find an alternative explanation.”
”The rally was not her IN Coachella, but at Ranch Calhoun, a privately owned ranch and equestrian center NEAR Coachella. Please update your records, Laura.”
”Susana I'm sorry to break this, but you've been lied to 😬. This is from the start at Calhoun Ranch - there is no way near 100.000 people. Not even 15.000 - take a look at how much 20.000 people is here and compare it. Trump and MAGA are manipulating the truth.”
Apparently trump is pushing the notion that 100,000 people were at this rally in CA. From today…
”Trump: For weeks and weeks, I’m up here ranting and raving. Last night, a hundred thousand people. Flawless. Ranting and raving. I’m ranting and raving. I’ll say the, I’ll say duh. They’ll say he’s cognitively impaired.”
