This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members. If you are on a Team, complete the 4 challenges and post them on this thread for an extra 4 points.

Sorry I am slow getting the November thread posted. I forgot that November starts the morning after Halloween!
Hope this month brings each of you lots of memories of fun with friends and family and that you have opportunities to scrap those memories.

kitbop, I'm sorry Cleo is shunning the rest of the family. You are so sweet, no wonder she chose you as the favorite! The pumpkin carving sounds wonderful when you don't have to worry about the mess as much. I hope you took photos! grammadee, how is DH feeling now about his geriatric assessment? I know he doesn't want surgery but I agree with kitbop, it will just get worse. Hugs to both of you. I love the photo of you on your October calendar page. I will get to the gallery and leave you love. kellyr21, I am sorry about your Dodgers. I'm sure it was a great disappointment. Our snow has melted so we just have cold weather. The trick-or-treaters were bundled up warm last night. We didn't get very many this year and no one after 8:30. Do you get trick=or-treaters? Linda, I would love to be invited to your Halloween dinner. That sounds like such fun. You do such amazing things with holidays and food. What a great mom! I can't believe all the books you got for such a small sum. Do you have storage room for all of those? You definitely have a "reading family"! My silhouette died yesterday with 10 pieces left to cut. Steve took it to the shop and blew it out to get all the tiny pieces of paper out. I then got online and watched/read everything I could on what to do if your silhouette starts hopping around on the mat. After an hour or so and working with it, it's up and running beautifully again. I am so relieved. I don't think I could scrap without it. It's about 8 years old, so I know it won't last forever, but I really don't want one of the newer models. I don't have room for something larger and I don't really need more features. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Thanks nylenethis is the veggie platter dd24 assembled and the feast Storage room for books...yes...but about half will be going home with DD24 for herself and DS. Most of mine will be read and donate tbh Glad that you and Steve were able to get the Silhouette up and running again. Spent the morning on virtual queue and webchat with HM Passport Office. They finally got my paperwork but now they want proof of my name change for my middle names. Which I really don't have other than my marriage certificate . All my US paperwork (passport, state ID, ss card) accepted my marriage certificate as my bridging document from Linda middle1 middle2 maidenname to Linda Maidenname Marriedname. The UK passport office accepts it for my surname change but apparently not for the middle name change. The agent I chatted with has submitted for re-examination so hopefully?

Linda. that skeleton relish tray is delightful. It made me chuckle just seeing it. What a fun meal for Halloween. I'm sorry you are having name change issues. I have a first name which I have never, ever, used. The last time I renewed my driver's license I had to bring my passport. So now my DL doesn't have Nylene on it. My military id doesn't have first name, passport doesn't have first name nor does my SS card and Medicare card. If I ever had to vote in person my DL wouldn't match the name on the voter rolls all these years. I'm glad Utah is ALL mail in ballots. Mom had a first name never used, and so did dad. It gave them problems. So why did they do it to me and my youngest brother!!?? At least I didn't pass on the tradition! Glad to know you donate books. I am a hoarder so I can reread them and could never find room for hundreds of books. LOL

happy November, Pokeys! Glad you are crafting again, nylene , and that you got your Silhouette to behave. Dh is really struggling to deal with everything that is going on. He wants to deal with symptoms one at a time, and yet they all interact. He has yet to pick up the new meds the dr in the Seniors' clinic prescribed, and he wants me to cancel his appointment with the respiratory people because he doesn't want to try the new CPap machine. We are trying to figure out how to get him to put his feet up more often. Sunday, dd is bringing a tV they are not using. If we can get it situated where we think it will fit, I will call the satellite people to run another lead in so he can watch TV from his zero gravity bed. He cleared off a cabinet to set the TV on, so hoping he will remain on side for that one. Love the way your family celebrates all the holidays in special little ways, Linda . That veggie tray is a really fun centre piece for your feast.
I managed to add up my October points today, and put together three cards to finish off CARDtober. Finally put my dies back after their trip to the crop, and have my scrap counters cleared off. Not expecting to get much done on them though until sometime next week. Tomorrow I need to do some housework, then Sunday brunch with dd & family and dgs has a home hockey game.
Loads of tomatoes have ripened up in the basement while i have been occupied elsewhere, so I will need to deal with them at some point next week.

Linda, your cards turned out so beautiful. I want to steal the idea of the lines of hexagons to use along the border of a scrapbook page. Love the flamingos. How nice to live where you see them in the wild occasionally. Your mixed media background blends beautifully with the pastel flowers. Lovely! kellyr21, you are right, I am SO glad my silhouette is up and humming again. Do you have flowers still blooming around your area? Most of ours are gone, but DH has babied a couple of planters of cascading petunias. He cut them back and fertilized them and they have continued blooming. I dread when there is no more color through the winter. How is your painting and sketching going? grammadee, you do give the Energizer Bunny a run for his money! Do you ever get to sit down and take it easy? I know you want to make lasagnas but what else will you do with your tomatoes? Freeze? Can? I am so sorry that your DH is struggling with his health. I hope getting the TV where he can watch it with his feet up will encourage him to take it easy. I finished a page yesterday and now have the scrapping bug again. I hope I can do some scrapping later today. Crazy Hair Day 2023

nylene - great layouts - I especially love the triangle mimicking the spikey hair on the "crazy hair" page, and I melt over that photo of Myles asleep on his Mama's shoulder! Linda - you created some gorgeous things on Friday - I love that hexagon card, the die cut on used on the card, and the bursts of rainbow palm leaves behind the flamingos. grammadee - good luck with the tomatoes. I wish I could grow that big a crop because I do love to freeze them for cooking. In our other house, I was able to do that the first couple of years I built my garden, but something was in the soil and after that I never had a good crop. This year, I only had the 2 patio plants and got more tomatoes off them than I got off my garden plants last year!

Here is my one page from yesterday and this morning. A little reverse layering: the photo is actually the bottom layer. This morning I applied packing tape to the back of the page to ensure the photo stays in place. And yes, that is a real live DOG in bed with Jacob in this photo his mom sent me...

I love your pages nylene and wow Alex hair is tall! lol. Such sweet photos of your 4 generations. kellyr21 ! Congrats on the Dodgers win!! What a series that was! I always love it when the Yankees don't win lol. grammadee I hope DH will opt for the surgery too. Have fun with those tomatoes lol. Linda I love that skeleton! She's so creative lol. I love that water color card so much. So pretty! It's pouring rain here so I had planned to head to my craft space. But I'll have Bub for practice today so probably no crafting, but I'll get the laundry done and the rest of the shopping done instead. I told him he would be spending the afternoon running errands with me. I thought he would balk about that, but he is ok with it lol. He and his dad and uncle played in a Once Piece tournament. It's a card game similar to Pokemon. DGS was the only kid there and took 2nd place! He was playing against adults 40 and older. One guy got mad and stormed out when he lost to Rudy lol. Waving hi to everyone! grammadee your page is gorgeous!

Thanks everyone! DD24 does a great job on the veggie trays! adorable layouts nylene - I'm glad you're able to scrap again! grammadee - love the winter hugs layout! Perfect for the Donna challenge have fun with your GS today joyfulnana. What a shame about that grown adult not knowing how to be a graceful loser Yesterday was a very non-productive day - slept late, did groceries, took a nap, read...the covid and flu vaccines knocked me, lol. Feeling better today. But headed to the city for DD18's Girl Scout meeting so not a scrappy day.

Happy November everyone! I can't believe that we are less than two months away from Christmas. Where has this year gone? I hope you're all enjoying the last hours of the weekend. It's Monday morning here, and I am <ahem> working. I've just taken a little coffee break. It's a public holiday here on Tuesday for the Melbourne Cup (horse race), and our company encouraged everyone to take Monday off as well to make a four day weekend. I work in customer service, so I still have to work - BOTH days! - as we are a national team. I will take a day off in lieu of the public holiday later this year. I hope everyone has a stress free week ahead.

Happy Sunday! I hope you all have had a nice weekend. We went to the tennis courts earlier today for the first time in a while. I just walked some and hopefully next weekend we will play. It was a perfect 75 degree sunny day and lots of people were out there having a good time. joyfulnana and kitbop- Yes, we were thrilled that the Dodgers won! We couldn't watch much of the last game but I did see the highlights later and some of the post game interviews. So exciting! I watched most of the parade on Friday and that was so fun that we finally had a parade. Most of us were disappointed that when we won in 2020 we could have a parade because of the pandemic. That was such a sad win. So the city and team did a great job adding all the bells and whistles. So cool! nylene- I have been making a few more of my floral arrangement paintings and then I will start a new collection once I figure out what it will be. LOL! Your layouts are just so precious!!! Especially the one with your dh and ggd. AWWWWWW! grammadee- I am going to the gallery to see your pages. Your work in so wonderful! AussieMeg- Waving hi from So Cali! Has it warmed up there? We are warm here but cooler afternoons and evenings. Here in the U.S. we have Veteran's Day next Monday. So dh will be off and we are looking forward to it.

The day that it's getting up to 34 is when I had planned to go into the office - it will be a hot old train ride! Enjoy your day off next week. I'm sure you and Ron will do something lovely together.

I had a scrappy weekend. I managed to finish all of the Cardtober challenges. I knitted while chatting with my mom and sister this morning and then went to a gentle yoga class. I made this daily page during an Awesome Ladies Project class. This month's theme is Vintage. I meant to share all my creations from the crop with grammadee in the October thread, but I never got it done. I will add them to the main sharing thread. Perfect for the Donna challenge Thanks for reminding me to share it in that challenge thread! justjac, I saw all your cute cards in the Gallery, but didn't stop to comment. Dgs and Dad were here this morning, and then I attended his home game. Trying to reset DH's locked out iPad took every other spare minute of the day and it is still not reset.

I managed to finish all of the Cardtober challenges. I knitted while chatting with my mom and sister this morning and then went to a gentle yoga class. woohoo! AND I love the vintage page - you always make such cool daily pages! Yesterday was a Girl Scout day for DD18 in the city and DH and I walked around the UF Museum complex for the two hours catching Pokemon and enjoying the beautiful weather - low 80s and not too humid. Grabbed pizza for dinner on the way home. I've started labelling DH's trip pics - that'll take me all week I expect. I didn't sleep well last night - didn't fall asleep until past 4 and the alarm goes off at 630 and 7 and I was up for the day at 8. Yawn. Dh is unexpectedly home today which has thrown my plans into a bit of disarray since cleaning our bedroom and bathroom were top of the list. He's fine - just time-change-itis, lol. Going to hop on the morning crop in a few and work on catching up on the SG 52 week challenge - I'm 7 layouts behind.

Happy Monday! Waving hi and hope you all had a nice day. I was in the gallery today and left some praise. justjac- Your card in the gallery are terrific! You have created so many beautiful styles and they all look beautiful! grammadee- You are the "Queen" of the double pages! I enjoy seeing your pages. linda- Have you started scrapping any of your England trip? I sure you will fill an album with your beautiful memories. I would like to go there and France one day. AussieMeg- Wow, what a warm weather mood swing! LOL! I hope you enjoy the warm temps, though. I will have to look up the Melbourne Cup. I haven't heard of that but that is so cool it's a national holiday. It's sports so I would like it. Plus, I like horses! nylene- Waving hi and hope you had a good day.

Have you started scrapping any of your England trip? I sure you will fill an album with your beautiful memories. I would like to go there and France one day. lol - no - I'm still labelling DH's (digital) photos. Then I'll need to decide which photos (his and mine) that I want to scrap. I might wait for my sister to share her photos in case she took any of us but we'll see how long it takes her to share. France - especially Normandy -is on my travel wishlist. We do want to go back to England and Scotland (we're already making a list of places to go) and hopefully Wales and Ireland as well as some point. And Germany is on the list as well since I lived there as a child and DH was stationed in Berlin when the wall was coming down.

Morning Pokeys - even here in Canada, all the hospital is thinking about is the election... we keep getting jump scares IYKWIM Closed on our house yesterday. Glad that's over. My brain doesn't like dealing with that sort of stuff. In addition, I was doing the zoom meeting and document signing on my lunch hour at work...and of course, struggled to get all the digital connections in order. Tech is amazing, but when it doesn't go smoothly? grammadee - what a glorious page - how did you come up with that inspiration? It must have taken a fair amount of time, especially to get your vision to work? It's beautiful! kellyr21 - do you have public tennis courts in LA? Growing up in/around Vancouver, we had public tennis courts every 3 blocks. It was a shock to move to Ontario and find them scarce and often poorly maintained. I guess we spend our money skiing in BC...and in Ontario everyone joins the tennis club All the nets down here now anyways in preparation for winter. I often imagine you breezily wandering around in sunshine and palm trees! AussieMeg - I shared with my fammily that AU has a National Holiday for a horse race! That is *so* different from here! Linda - I hope you can find all the trip photos. It's similar to FOMO - what if someone has a wonderful memory/photo on their phone and I'm missing it? I have to start looking at 2024 photos to make my MIL's calendar for Christmas, and soon. It's always a fun project, but emphasizes how far behind I am in photos! It will make me sad to not have camping photos this year. But I guess I have moving photos justjac - LOVE that colour behind the vintage! Is that your own mixed media? It's lovely! joyfulnana - that is awesome about Rudy at the tournament! Before kids, I used to play in Magic tournaments, and it was funny to watch nerdy guys react to me and underestimate me while I crushed them Hi nylene! Hoping your shoulder is continuing to improve! gramma - thinking of you.

Tech is amazing, but when it doesn't go smoothly? congratulations! ours is still not on the market because dh doesn't want to pay people to do the stuff that needs doing when he can do it himself but lacks the time to actually do it. I hope you can find all the trip photos. It's similar to FOMO - what if someone has a wonderful memory/photo on their phone and I'm missing it? I think I'm mostly hoping that my sister might have taken some photos of me - I have some but man, DH almost never thinks to take pictures of PEOPLE

grammadee, your Warm Winter Hugs page is gorgeous. I love what you have done around that precious photo. Perfect title! How is DH doing? It's no fun when the body begins to wear out! Linda, I am amazed at what you accomplish in one day...not just scrapping, but everything. It makes me feel a bit lazy! I love that page with the triangles to squares. Looks so great with the photo of her. I love the page with different papers corner to corner and the zoo pages fit the photo colors so well. I love the photos of the kitties and criss-crossed filmstrip, but my favorite is the page of you and DH. So clean and classy and very sweet. Are you sleeping better? That's been the hardest thing about my shoulder. It's so hard to get comfortable to sleep more than a couple of hours at a time. kellyr21, like kitbop, I often picture you walking around with hardly a jacket and seeing blooming flowers and palm trees. Today it is 37 degrees for the high and the wind here is icy cold. It makes me long for summer again and it's barely into winter! I look forward to seeing the newest painting you have done. kitbop, congrats on closing on your house. Was it a bit nostalgic to say goodbye to it? DH and I went to the matinee of Here with Tom Hanks this a.m. and I came home feeling nostalgic about all the years we have been here in this house with exchange students, relatives living here while going to college here, kids, grandkids and greats. I am glad your paper work is all done and you can just move on into new memories in the new house. justjac, I love your daily pages. I wish I had the determination to do that. I love seeing what is important to you each day. I love the background on your page and the gasoline pump brings back so many memories. Beautiful page. AussieMeg, I am glad it is warming up for you. I had to agree that having a national holiday for a horse race seems foreign to me, but I'm sure it has great meaning for everyone in Australia! How warm is it for Christmas in your area? I'm sure winter Christmas scrapbook papers don't do anything for you. Are there lines that have warm weather icons? I saw the doctor's PA yesterday and she had me move my arm up in front of me and out to the side (movements I've been told not to do yet) and I have way more movement than I ever had after the last surgery. I am really encouraged. I start PT tomorrow and I am eager to get it moving. The pain is down to just aching at night so I've been off the pain pills for 2 weeks. I have ignored easy housework that I can do and have spent time scrapping. I finished another page and hope to work on another later today. Meeting Baby Brother
