grammadee - yes I did join yesterday. Am around tomorrow if there is another one; Wednesday to Sunday I'm in Vancouver for professional development stuff. I don't expect the postal strike to last particularly long, one way or the other. At some point they are either going to settle, be forced into arbitration, or the gov't will find the votes to legislate an end. Right now no parties benefit from helping the Liberals pass the legislation. Start hitting Dec 1 with no deal, it changes.

We can a text from Tori last night that there was a mix-up in communication and all her married kids are going to the in-laws for Thanksgiving. That means no Eddie, Hailey or Myles attending. Em's grandbaby Millie will be there, but we were expecting about 40 people and it's down to about 20. I'm sorry. I know ILs need to get their turn also and it's probably good that all her kids chose the same year so they can all be with her next year but still disappointing. (((Hugs))) My therapist carefully checked my strength in my shoulder and was very pleased. He wants me to just continue using it as much a possible until we get the clearance for strengthening from the Dr. I can actually reach up and turn off a light! Haven't been able to do that since Feb. Still can't reach up to the turn signal while driving, but driving is getting easier. I'm SO glad you keep getting good news on the shoulder. I love the pages with lots of photos. I need to use those as templates for all the Pool party photos I have I love the old Deluxe Designs colourblocking templates for the lots of photos pages Love your Senior page - very handsome young man and the paper airplanes are awesome! cycworker - nice seeing you yesterday and hopefully I'll see you tomorrow as well. It'll depend on how productive I am in the morning with the housework.

Linda, I am loving your pages with lots of photos. Will be scraplifting them when I get to my pool party pages. Love your Vroom page and the arrangement of the photos. Your New Year's background is perfection. The title font is so cute. I always enjoy your holiday meals. You are so creative. I scrapped on and off yesterday and finished a page. I have all the Halloween stuff out so need to finish up a bunch before getting back to my big pile of photos.

Thanks nylene - I LOVE your spooky layouts - you got some fabulous photos and I love how you picked the perfect papers and embellishments for each. My house is clean. My album shelves have been completely rearranged so I can more easily reach the more current albums - mow that was a project. DH is home and DS will be catching the overnight train soon from VA. Not sure how much scrappy time I'll have between now and the end of the month - making memories will be the priority. I did get my Echo Park mystery box today

My goodness I've missed a lot here in just 2 days lol! Everyone sounds like busy bees! I spent most of Saturday at moms crop and it was so good to see so many peas! I had planned a quiet Sunday of catching up things not done Saturday and football. I ended up with a house full of boys, eating Five Guys, playing the One Piece card game, and football lol. The last one was out at 9:30PM. It was fun and I didn't take a single picture I'm so bad about that! I've been getting the baking bug, and I want to start Christmas baking but it's too soon. I don't have the room to freeze much at the moment. And also lets be real, I'm not that organized and never will be LOL! So instead I'm thinking of transferring that bug to Thanksgiving dinner. Ack!! I haven't cooked a Thanksgiving dinner in YEARS! I'm wondering if I'm crazy lol. With all of the family gatherings the kids and bub have I'm thinking of the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Making it a dinner and tree trimming day. (if I can get them all here again at the same time which is always hard) With Thanksgiving so close to Christmas this year, I'm thinking of arbitrarily moving my Thanksgiving to October going forward and celebrating the same weekend as Canada lol. It makes much more sense to me to spread it out lol. I am excited for Christmas this year, and it feels good, because it's not usually excitement I'm feeling when I know it's the holiday season lol. I think a mix of both. She has a return date now so it's no longer as open ended. DS flew back to the States today and will be taking the train down to us mid-week and will stay through Thanksgiving and then he, DD24, and their cats will head home. That's wonderful! I'm so happy you will all be spending Thanksgiving together!I love seeing the pages of the kids young, they are so cute, and you've been so productive! I am always amazed at how many pages you finish! (please keep sharing in this thread). I'm pretty sure I still have those colorblock templates in 8.5x11 lol joyfulnana - come be my next door neighbour please. Can you imagine our crafty play time? I think what's hard is that I might have someone on this street who would be a good craft buddy but it's like when we started our online crops: we weren't sure if we were actually gonna like the people we met. At least online, you can approach gradually and if it's not a good fit you just don't continue. If you invite someone in person and then don't like them...it's awkward. And if they don't get the message, you can get stuck! I would love to be your crafty neighbor! I feel the exact same way, I'm leery of trying to find crops here again, I know there are at least 2 a month. A crop group run by two women and my pretty close LSS that I rarely visit. I'm so comfortable cropping with the peas. And I've met so many! I should pop in to that LSS over the weekend. She's a very small store and is more card making driven. Meeting new people is hard for this introvert and that's what makes the online crops so nice. Love that art btw and great way to get affordable art! I hope the strike ends soon and DH can find a good posting. I'm totally with you on what a night shift does to the family vibe. grammadee your DH sounds like me when I was a kid. I was always hovering in the kitchen near the cutting board (to grab raw veggies mom was chopping, or to snatch cookie dough and she let us have the imperfect ones too. I have never been able to replicate her cut out cookies, and those are still my favorite. justjac your messy classes sound fun, even if not very productive. I like getting messy, but it's mostly just for playing around, nothing makes it past the table onto an actual page lol. My nylene Alex is grown up and handsome! Every time I see Rudy, I just marvel at how mature he's getting already, and where in the heck did those years go?! That is such great news and progress with your shoulder! Yay! Boo at the change of plans for Thanksgiving. kellyr21 It's looking good for the Eagles this year, not so much for the Rams though That Chiefs/Bills game was wild! I thought the Chiefs looked kind of tired. And I remembered that they have had the shortest off season of any team for the last 3 years, I would be tired too! lol. I too would love to hear about where you make your art! So, I started this post before work this morning. Bess usually lets me alone with my coffee, but she has strict rules about how much screen time she'll allow lol. And she was trying to get on the keyboard, I was so afraid she would delete the whole post, so I closed the computer and went to work lol

Happy Wednesday! Waving hi and hope you all are having a nice day. It was a nice warm day today and I did get a walk in later this afternoon. Dh has an event tonight at work he has been preparing for over the last few weeks and we are both glad it will be finished tonight. LOL! He has one more event tomorrow and then his work should get back to normal. Whew! I've been a little sluggish today but thank goodness it is only Wednesday. Maybe tomorrow will be more productive. nylene- SO glad you are making progress and I hope you continue to get better. I love seeing your layouts. I will go to the gallery to get a closer look. No big plans for next week so far. I might do a little cooking and order the rest. My poor oven hasn't been used much this year. Ron turned it on a few weeks ago and it was smokey! LOL! It creates so much heat in our apartment since they made some changes to our front door. Now, I can cook when it is cooler and sometimes use the ac to keep it from getting too hot. joyfulnana- The Chiefs are winning and I hope they can get to the Superbowl again. The Rams and the Eagles play on Monday. That will be a tough game for Ron to watch. His favorite team and his home team. Yikes! kitbop and joyfulnana - Yes, I do my art in my living room area. I have a long table to hold my supplies and I use a large tv stray to work on. Sometimes, I put up my other 6ft table when I need more space. It is a wonder I get so much art and scrapping done in this small space. Hey, but I do what I have to do. LOL! linda- You have been doing a fantastic job with so many layouts. I know it feels good to get them done. Bravo, Linda! Look at all those fun Echo Park supplies you got!!! I wish we all could come to your house and help you play with those beautiful papers. Canadian Peas- I hope the postal services is back up and running. What a time for the mail to be delayed!!!
