Secretary of Defense needs Senate confirmation. Hopefully there are enough sane senators to vote Nay! LOL. There are not. With Elon threatening to fund a primary challenger for anyone who goes against the Trump agenda, they will all fall in line quite nicely. Republicans have so many ways around the rules. Recess appointments, "acting" positions etc I know it's a long shot, but if Casey wins n PA, one more Democrat, 1 less Republican. A narrower margin might help with some things. |

Well, John Thune was just chosen as the new Senate Majority Leader over Rick Scott. Tiny glimmer remains that the Senate will not cede their authority. It’s still not great, because he and Trump agree in many areas. I’m sure Trump will be big mad.

Yeah. Any Republican is going to agree with Trump in general. The worst paths might have closed, but he will try to earn favor back by appeasing Trump on something. And that could be bad. Like he’ll push back on cabinet positions, but not on judges or something.

It should ALWAYS and should have always been a choice. are you okay with that choice leading to a return of diseases that used to regularly kill children that have all but been eradicated thanks to vaccines? Like Polio, diphtheria, etc? Consider the cost for treating those who get very sick for diseases and need hospital treatment because of no vaccines. No health insurance.. I almost ended up in the hospital with measles as an adult... |

Including, shockingly, my Trump supporting brother who gets his healthcare through the ACA. |

That is extremely worrying, that is going to have massive negative repercussions on every citizen. it’s already damn near impossible to get doctors appointments and procedures scheduled in a timely manner. How is it going to be when the hospitals are flooded with children and adults who are suffering from the repercussions of not being properly vaccinated? What is that going to do to our health insurance premiums? This will strain our already strained support systems and disability protections. If this doesn’t prove pro life only means pro birth I don’t know what does. |

They won't have the long term. Every year they are not required will be a year those kids are closer to being adults. Rubella damages fetuses. If people get out of the habit of getting vaccines for their children they will forget more often as the years go by... One of the high schools in our town has a Whooping cough out break. Kids are sent home if they have a cough. They must have medical clearance to return to school. If they have 'outlived' their vaccines what all the adults and their vaccines or if they never had one. I had whooping cough 80 years ago, am I immune? |

Could be true. However, at some point you all are going to have to admit that Trump is tied to Project 2025, even though supposedly the name has now been changed. Two of his future cabinet members, including Stephen Miller, who has already been named his Deputy Chief of Staff for POLICY, are authors of Project 2025. So you really think that when someone who is an author of Project 2025, who will be Trumps person in charge of policy, that Trump has nothing to do with Project 2025? That makes zero sense. And what about Tom Homan, who Trump has named as his border czar, who is also one of the authors of Project 2025? How can you really believe that Trump has nothing to do with Project 2025? If he truly does not, as he claimed while he was campaigning, why is he already, a week in, hiring people who are prominent contributors to it? Why would I “admit” that he’s tied to that before having ANY concrete proof? That’s your problem…you panic with what you THINK MIGHT happen. 🙄🙄🙄 As all the MAGA supporters panicked at what they thought a Harris/Walz administration would bring. Put up a slate so heinous that the Senate won't reject all of them. So some of the heinous options get through. And the ones they do reject, on the 2nd shot nominate someone else heinous, daring the Senate to reject those as well. At some point, someone will declare the Senate is wasting precious time when they need to be conducting "real business" and there will be an urge to confirm whoever is left. |

It's my opinion that Trump is deliberately finding the least competent person for each role that he can.
This is a big middle finger to the country and show that he can do anything he wants.
And/or the plan is to bring the country down on its knees as much as possible while laughing all the time.
Regarding vaccines, those parents who refuse to vaccine their children will be the first crying to the government or blaming the government when their children fall seriously ill.
