I think the 7-11 brand is Slurpee, but don't quote me on that I've just always known 7-11's as Slurpees and then there are others that are Icies <sp>

Slurpee Slurpees are only at 7Eleven Icees are the ones in other places Not sure which came first-off to Google ETA: huh-this is what Wikipedia says: A Slurpee is a frozen flavored drink sold by the 7-Eleven company. In 1967,[1] 7-Eleven licensed the product from The Icee Company, and began selling it as the Slurpee. I know people who SWEAR that Slurpees are way better. And vice versa.

You can only get a Slurpee at 7-11. You can get Icees at Target, the movie theater and all other kinds of places. Slurpees are slushier than Icees. I have thoroughly researched this subject .

I wonder if there is a geographical difference in what we call them?
I call all of them icees.
(and I am in south.)

We call them slurpees but I swear when I was kid our neighborhood 7-11 had icees with the polar bear. I wonder if individual stores did their own thing until slushie became a corporate supply. Gee I am old.

I just refer to any drink of this type as a slushy. I don't really make a distinction.

They may be called Slurpees now, but I know they were Icees originally...at least at our 7-11. We had a 7-11 right down the road from our house when I was a kid. We used to walk there just about every day in the summer to get Cola Icees. So in answer to the question: I call it an Icee.

Icees come from the machine where there's one flavor per tank...
Slushies come from Sonic and the flavor gets mixed with a ice base upon ordering.

I call them all slushies, but never buy any, so I have no knowledge of which are better or have what flavors or are slushier or anything like that.

7/11 serves Slurpees. They only serve Slurpees. Slurpees is a brand name that is trademarked by and exclusive to 7/11.
Icee is also a brand name.
If we are going to 7/11 I call it a Slurpee.
If we are going to somewhere that serves Icees I call it Icees.
Also, I'm from the South.

I refer to them as a slushy or an icee. I don't think I've drank one since I was a kid, though.

Slurpee. That's the brand name. Icee is a different brand name, and one we didn't have in my area growing up.
