It's been raining cats & dogs for two days now, it's 37 degrees and they're looking for snow showers this evening I got lazy last night and didn't go to town for Chinese take out so I may do it tonight or I may eat peanut butter toast and a banana like I did last night What are you having for dinner?

We've had rain, but it's not so cold here. I'm fixing salad again tonight. Yesterday's was so good! Tonight, I will use asparagus, dried cranberries and blue cheese on Romaine with a balsamic vinaigrette.
We had leftover pork cutlet, tabbouleh and strawberry pie for lunch.

I still have an untouched Costco chicken in the fridge that I picked up on Friday. So something with that. And strawberry bread for dessert.

Dh is a realtor and we have become friends with some former clients that are (very westernized) Indian and they have invited us for dinner tonight ... we've been there before for a BBQ and it was a lot of fun I was kind of hoping they would make Indian food this time but apparently we are having wings and beer and wine while we watch the hockey game Yay, no cooking for me

I am so excited about dinner tonight. My local Winco had halibut for sale! I can never find halibut for sale anywhere and it's my absolute favorite. So tonight I'm going to try this recipe for Panko Crusted Halibut. I will also be making some potato wedges and a salad. Oh, and I have leftover birthday cake for dessert!

I was right, tonight is a repeat of last night. And if we do it for lunch tomorrow that should finish off the cold cuts.

A large batch of chicken tacos that will also feed ds and I after tomorrow's (far away) baseball game. Dh will grill himself a hamburger tomorrow. I also sliced a whole lot of peppers (red, Orange, and yellow) and onions that will be used for Italian sausage, peppers and onions on Tuesday and then again as leftovers on Thursday. We are in the home stretch of high school baseball season. Six games this week (including senior day on Thursday- I'm gonna be a mess and ds is only a junior!), and then playoffs start the following weekend.

We're going over to DH's parent's house for dinner. There will be sweet and sour chicken, chow mein, fried rice.. I think there will be 11 guests all together.
I made those cupcakes I posted yesterday and I also made a yellow cake with chocolate buttercream.. just incase someone doesn't like lemon.

DH grilled burgers and pork chops last night, and we have a few of each remaining. So it's leftovers for us.

I dragged dh to Ikea and he ate Swedish meatballs for lunch so he wasn't very hungry for dinner. We had grilled hamburgers and corn on the cob.

Tonight is steak house chicken kebabs on the bbq, corn on the cob, sauteed green beans, and steamed rice. Might also fix some watermellon or cherries as we just got them in to our grocery stores (and they are good!)

It has been raining on and off all day, so I put on some black bean soup in the crockpot. For dessert, we are having Strawberry Icebox cake.

Spent the entire day at the beach (as in 8ish am to 6 or so) and I am tired, a bit on the sunburned side and just freshly showered. Dinner isn't really high on my list of things to do. We all take finger foods to the beach to share and nibble all day, so I have been snaking essentially since breakfast. I will probably be asleep before 9.

A girlfriend and her husband were desperate for a babysitter for their 2 year-old tonight, so I volunteered. Their house is right on the way of one of my favorite taco shops so I'll probably stop for a burrito on the way.

I forgot you had mentioned that it was today...what kind of fun loot did you end up with? We had a really nice turn out!! We are set with clothes, baby wipes and receiving blankets. DH and I are going tomorrow to purchase the travel system..we got enough gift cards to almost pay for it. We have a lot of basics to still get, but the love and support that our friends and family showed us was so awesome.

I am sorry about your snow. Really, Mother Nature!!! We had chicken thighs and breasts on the grill marinated in this: rasamalaysia.com/chipotle-lime-chicken/2I just used regular chili powder and I didn't have a jalapeno so I left that out. It marinated for about 6 hours and was really juicy and tender on the grill. I got my act together earlier in the day and made pasta salad. We had cut up watermelon as well. Yumm!

Bummer! But at least no cooking! I am thinking of the Big Bang episode where Raj is complaining about eating Indian food!

My daughter left on vacation to a cabin a few hours away and her alternator decided to crap out, so since we're now paying for an unplanned hotel room plus an alternator, dh and I figured why not add to it and get Olive Garden to go? Her vacation (that she and her bf paid for) is becoming very expensive for us! So we had lasagna, breadsticks and dolcini for dessert.
