Wondering. Online friends tell me they never use it and don't know anyone who uses it.

Yes, when on long stretches of the freeway. It helps maintain good gas mileage in my SUV.

I have it and have never used it. Dh uses it if he's driving my car. I kind of don't trust it although I can't explain why

I've had my car for years and don't even know how to set the cruise control. I've never had the desire to use it, so I never figured it out.
We just got back on Friday night from a long road trip. Never wanted it.

Dh uses it a lot, I rarely do. I don't think I've used it in my last 3 cars.

Frequently on long trips. Helps keep me from accidentally speeding.

I only use it on long trips. DH uses it whenever possible.
We have WAY too much traffic around here to be able to use it often.

I use it when I am out of a lot of traffic and long stretches. It really helps with gas mileage.

I drive on 3 highways on my morning commute, and I definitely use my cruise control on the highway. (Unless it's raining, snowing or icy.)
I don't use it on non-highways.

I use it on the highway. Keeps me from speeding - like others have said. I have a heavy foot. LOL

I don't use it, dh and dd do though on long trips. I don't like to have a feeling of not being fully in control of a vehicle.

DH uses it when we are on a long road trip. Especially in the US on the way to Florida - helps us keep to the speed limit and avoid any tickets!

Only on long trips on the highway. Like others have said; it keeps me from speeding (and I can stretch my leg.)

A PSA for those who do use cruise control - a friend learned the hard way that it should never be used when it's raining. Her DH hydroplaned and rolled their minivan. Was told by police that it would not have been as bad if he hadn't been using the cruise control.

I have it, but don't use it. DH uses it all the time.
I personally feel like it's easier for me to get distracted if I use it. I have no choice but to pay attention if I'm not on cruise control and need to maintain my speed. On long drives, it's to easy for my mind to wander if I use CC, so I don't.

I use it only on the freeway. That could be a short trip or a long trip. So, not sure how to vote for myself but I LOVE it!

My car doesn't have it, but my husband's car does. I feel like it is more dangerous than it is worth.

I rarely use it simply because my day to day travels are all on either country roads or in areas with stop and go traffic. However, if I'm on a nice calm stretch of highway, I will absolutely use it. DH uses it more than I do. He uses it on portions of highway I personally would still find to busy to bother. I don't like the feeling when I have to pause or resume the cruise control function. So I look to avoid that. He doesn't mind it, so he's fine with putting it on and off more frequently.

It's nice when you're driving 900 miles through the Midwest on I-80. I don't use it otherwise, though.

Was told by police that it would not have been as bad if he hadn't been using the cruise control. Oh, how awful for them! I was told to never use it during inclement weather. And I choose not to use it at night. I have some trouble with night vision, so I want to feel completely in control of the vehicle at night. (I try to avoid night driving these days as a rule, though.)

Use it all the time. It's 17 miles to the next town and the speed limit is 65. People speed regularly and my car thinks 80 is what it should go. I use the cruise control to keep myself at about 66.

I use it on the highway, because if I don't i'll look down and see I'm going over 80, which is apparently what i feel is my natural speed.

I answered never but truly I do use it once in a blue moon on long road trips. DH uses it all the time. I hate the feeling of being out of control, especially that roller coaster stomach feeling I get when it suddenly speeds up the car when I'm not expecting it. When I'm not driving, I don't get like that. I agree with the person who posted that it forces her to pay closer attention to her driving, I'm like that too. I don't think I've ever used it on my current car.
