Presuming of course, that you live in a place where summer is hot and winter is cold.
I think I like the heat of summer better, because I'm not shoveling snow, I'm not tensed at night feeling bone deep cold, it isn't dark before 5 pm.
But I hate that feeling of it being too hot to go out with the younger kids. I hate being in shorts and a tee shirt and still feeling over dressed.
I just wish it was a springlike 65 degrees all year round. No snow, no scorching days.

I'm a summer girl. I'll take the heat over the cold any day.
Many years ago, an older woman told me people should only get to complain about either the hot summer OR the cold winter. You couldn't have it both ways. For some reason, I've remembered that ever since. I decided then and there I'd complain about the cold and love the heat!

The cold. You can dress in layers to keep out the cold but you can only take off so many layers until you're naked and the heat is still insufferable.
I probably hide inside more in the gross summer heat of Ontario than I do in the winter. Winters here are mild compared to what I grew up with, so they are actually quite pleasant. The gross humid summers? Gross. Give me an Alberta summer any day.

If forced to choose, the cold of winter - I have heat in my house, I don't have central air. I too would prefer it be 65-70 during the day and 50's at night.

Texas cold over Texas hot. If I lived in the north, I would prefer hot. I hate extreme cold as much as I hate our extreme hot.

I am, without question, a person who prefers the heat of the summer. I don't live in a place where it gets cold like it does up north, and those of y'all who live up there probably laugh at what my idea of cold is...but I hate being cold. We *do* have some cold days, and when we do, I hate them.
I am happiest when it is the 80's, and not bothered by the 90's until it gets above about 98. The a/c in my car died last summer and I keep meaning to have it fixed, but I never remember because as long as the windows roll down, it doesn't seem to be hot enough for me to notice being uncomfortable.
Fortunately I live in Central Florida which very much suits my weather preferences. I do feel for the tourists who come in the summer and are miserable from the heat. My older boy is in boot camp in Georgia right now. I told him that at least he has one small mercy and that is that he grew up in the heat and humidity-he spent his life time running and playing outside in similar weather and while at LSU, he worked out in similar conditions so he is already acclimated to the heat/humidity. Those poor boys and girls from places like Nebraska will absolutely have to adjust to not only boot camp, but the weather too.

I definitely prefer the heat. I live inland so we have very hot summers (lots of 100+ days) and I love it, the hotter the better. People think I am crazy because when I walk out in the heat on a 113 day, I take a deep breath at the oven like temps and enjoy it Our winter is much milder than many of you. Our overnight temps might be 30-40 and daytime temps 60-70 but that is freezing for me LOL. I've never seen snow and I have no desire to really.

Heat of summer. I live in central Indiana and I hate being cold. Summers are hot and humid, but it's what I prefer.

Neither. I prefer the 60-70's in the spring and fall. I don't really mind cooler temps or hotter temps. What I hate is frigid cold (10 degrees Fahrenheit or lower, and I also despise when the humidity levels are so high that you can't feel the air moving around you. )

Heat of summer but I live in the UK so that's a relative term. I HATE being cold, I feel cold even when its relatively mild and even with layers on, my fingers and nose are cold and I HATE being bundled up in tons of clothes....thr fewer the better within reason

I am a summer girl. Give me sun and warmth and outdoors all day every day. I can't stand being bundled in clothing. I love to move and run. And while I snowboard in the winter, it's not the same to me, being active in the freezing cold and six layers of clothes.

I prefer summer ... here in Calgary it doesn't get super hot so it's nice ... and we have "dry heat" so it isn't really humid either

Well, we in the UK moan about the weather sometimes - but on the whole we have a fairly temperate climate and that's how I like it. It gets cold in Winter and we can get some below freezing temps.....but they don't go way, way below....and we usually don't get tons of snow. Even high Summer temps don't usually go above the mid 70's, though the South of England can go above that at times, so though we need heating in our houses we don't really need air con! So by wearing a warm jacket in Winter and swapping it for no jacket or something much lighter in Summer, we can get out and about all year with usually no real problems!

I'll take a Texas winter over a Texas summer. However, I prefer the few weeks of spring or fall that we get.

COLD - that's why I'm getting the hell out of hell - I mean Texas . I'm so done with the summers here... (I've lived long-term in Utah, CA, CO, Sweden, Germany, and the last 13 years in AZ, and TX - I've experienced it all and would definitely take the cooler climates over the hot ones )

COLD please! You sleep better in chilly versus hot weather. You can always layer in cold weather. You don't experience EHS (Exploding Hair Syndrome) in the winter. You don't practically die in your car waiting for the air con to kick in. From, a person who was born in Miami, grew up in Atlanta, then lived in Phoenix, then NYC and now NOVA. It's TOO HOT!!!

I do the same in my car. I love to get in a hot car and just feel that warmth seeping into me. Unfortunately, that lovely moment is usually interrupted by a passenger or two screaming "turn on the AC!"

I've noticed that extreme heat and cold bother me more now than they ever did...one of the side effects of aging, I guess. I think, though, what bothers me the most is the humidity. I think I could take the summer heat where I live if it wasn't for the humidity.

Being in the deep south AND on a river give me winter any day. I do love summer BUT I hate the heat. With the autoimmune issues I have, the humid, heat just sucks any life I have in me right out of my body. I have learned ways to combat the cold of winter. I have a heated mattress pad that warms up the bed before crawling in it. I love fluffy, warm socks so my feet are never cold. As someone said upthread, there is only so much you can take off to get cooler.
Now, if I had my druthers, I am thinking spring or fall. Where the days get warm enough to enjoy doing things outside but the nights get a little cooler. I love sleeping in a cool room. That doesn't happen at all in the summer and at that point, I don't sleep well. Adding to said AI issues.

Summer all the way and I'm in Georgia, so that's saying something. I HATE being cold, even the relativity mild cold of a southern winter. Yeah, the humidity can be a bit much here, but I'm like a lizard soaking up the warmth.
