I agree katemac & @devildog...It's now 2 hours post-reveal and there is nothing sold out. Nothing...no add-ons. Not even the add-on pattern paper (which is pure luck if you're able to nab a set of that). You can still order this months alpha set (those always sell out at presale). I'm sure they will blame reveal landing on a weekend but this looks like a pretty craptastic one! And I"m going to guess it's because there are a ton of glitches, you can't find anything, the shop is still a complete cluster (though, it's nice they added the "digital" flag on the digital files so you can tell the difference) and you can't talk about anything. And the thread locking is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I hope those people who "tattled" on us "complainers" are happy because now you can't even ask the simplest of questions without the thread getting locked and getting the run around to open a conversation. I don't even have the urge or desire to buy any of the crap they are selling this month. Funny how that works. |

Maybe it's my extreme distaste for the company as a whole...but I'm completely unimpressed with ALL of the kits. They look so light compared to the kits back when I first started subscribing in December! It's like the bold, bright designs were used to distract us from seeing that there really isn't that much in the kits this month. I look at the kits and I see all those crazy designs and think "whoa!" but if you block those out, there really isn't much in any of the kits. I think that's the downfall of having such a tight budget...I really look at everything.
And, didn't they swear up and down that this second planner kit was going to be way more awesome than the first? I'm looking at it and I'm not seeing the value again.
Anyway, I think that's all from me on this subject for now...I'm done with them. Time to move on (though I will still commiserate with those who need to vent). I have almost all of my projects deleted from their site and my complete profile taken down.
I wish I could be the casual customer...I really wish I didn't get so "entrenched" in things I love so much. I'm my own worst enemy for stuff like this. If I didn't care so much, I wouldn't care about all this stuff and it could just roll off my back. Why do I have to care?? LOL.

I just checked out the reveal and I thought it was pretty neat they had all these extra kit items to buy! Like the cute wash with gold crosses on it. I wanted that. I tried to add to my cart and I can't. I can't add it to my cart. Then why the heck is it even on the site if I can't buy it?! I browsed the message boards to see if I could find out why I couldn't. Yep. There it is. The explanation in a locked topic on the message board. GRRR!! Makes me so mad!! I have been planning on staying through December but no more. I am so done with them. I am so going to cancel. They do nothing but piss me off now! UGH!!

I just had a big rant on the message board (Those acrylic houses), so I´m pretty sure I´ll be getting a letter with the April - stamp in the mail pretty soon! I´ll probably be banned as well. It´s reveal, and you can´t ask questions on the message board, you have to start a convo......and get an answer after a day or two?! WTF is wrong with those people? I´ve been subbing since 2008. This is my last month and now I´m just pissed off!  What kind of company does NOT want to sell their stuff?! |

I am so super glad I canceled before the 25th this month rather than riding it out until December! Normally I would get my pl sub, add on pp, main pp and one or two add ons. This month there is literally ( said in my best Rob Lowe from Parks and Rec voice) nothing I would want to buy. The paper this month is insane, I know they were going for a pop art theme and I am all for bright colors, but those papers give me a headache, I can't imagine trying to use them. Looking at the pl
cards there are maybe 4 I really liked, the rest would have been tossed or out in the "meh, maybe these will be useful some day" pile. I don't love any of the stamps and am not a sorry it am not getting them. All this on top of their insane Gestapo control of the message board and I am so glad I can be done with them! The board is dead, even for a weekend it has been awfully quiet. It is taking every ounce of self control I have not to copy and paste April's snotty message about transactional posts on all the threads that are not locked where people are asking questions,

I canceled my PL sub this month, too, and was glad I did. Don't feel like I missed out on anything, especially the headache of trying to figure out how and what I was ALLOWED to purchase.

And really this oh it's the weekend cut us some slack is ridiculous!
Have all your staff on for reveal
Medical staff work weekends, most retailers work weekends, in the UK when the store next has their annual day after Christmas sale their staff are in working at 4am!! The day after Christmas!!!
People have to get out if bed to maintain machines on production lines etc during the night
Really SC staff can't work reveal cause it's a Saturday, not good enough

I agree gigi333...When they moved reveal to the first of the month, they had to have known that some of them would fall on a Saturday. They should have planned accordingly. Especially considering there are still subscribers on the fence with what to do. They said they want to "prove they are worth the price increases"...this is not helping their case. |

It's quite laughable that they are cribbing that it's a Saturday, at least they don't have to do 12 hour shifts like nurses do here.
And how on earth are the I.T. Team not under contract to be completely available for several hours at reveal, surely a techno issue at reveal is a major issue
I don't even believe that there is no I.T around because it's Saturday they are just as usual looking For sympathy every time they screw something up

I am flabbergasted at the fact that they put up "double up" items and then have people unable to purchase. I can cancel after September's PL kit but I want to finish 2015 with their kits. Plus I have a ton of classes there that I am hoping to spend time on. Maybe I just need to let the main PL ship and not worry about shopping for anything else. But it is making me very sad.

From now on, I'm just getting my subs 'cos I just can't cope with that terrible shop where you can't find anything or do a proper search and you scroll through stuff only to find you can't purchase, either because you don't have the right sub or because of some technical issue. Should save me quite a bit of money. Like you I want to finish this year's PL with SC kits, though if the cards and paper keep getting weirder, I might have to pull the plug early. |

If you aren't "allowed" to buy the double up items, then they need to put them in the Planner add on section so only those that sub to the Planner add on can get them. If they thought that me not being able to purchase them at reveal would encourage me to sub to the Planner kit, they were sorely mistaken. I'm about to give them the big Texas thumbs up. Ugh!!! |

I never purchased from SC, but for some reason I am slightly intrigued by this April person. She sounds like she would make a good Lifetime movie villain. I hear lots of people complaining about losing their kits. What if you took that $ to your local scrapbook store (those of you lucky to have one) once a month and put that money back into your city's economy. I know they would appreciate it. We only have one left in town and I try to go once a month. Once Archiver's closed I decided to put 80% of my scrappy spending in her store. I love to go and try to find different lines and embellishments that go together. I only buy the stuff I like, so I am never getting something I don't love. It isn't as hard as I once thought. I actually think my eye for designing is way better than I thought it was. I do get that people like the videos to create a similar layout, but you could watch the video first and make a list of what you could do to make a similar layout. Sometimes I'll pin something and run a copy of it and take it to my LSS. I love to shop for scrappy stuff, so I am getting pretty good at it. I just think it is a good option for people that don't want put anymore $ into SC.

Only a stamp set and journaling cards pack are sold out! I didn't see anything I HAD to have in this months reveal TBH. The add-ons seem thin and overpriced. The PL main kit, which I thought I was going to love based on the CT (they did a great job this month) sneaks, is only meh. SC is using a lot of Paislee Press designs for their journaling cards lately, have you noticed? I'd rather get them from the designer herself.
