I don't get the pencil? Am I supposed to be sending that to someone? I don't write correspondence in pencil. What card could or would you attach the deer to? Or the stickers? Do you dump the confetti in the "Glad you were born" card so that the recipient can clean that mess up? This "kit" is stupid. The whole "Crafters are too busy to make cards" is stupid. Agree, a pencil? I don't even own a pencil sharpener. (btw, loved your comment on the Welcome Caitlin thread, I was waiting for someone to say something like that!)Did they delete the comment? I don't see anything from aggiebonfire00 on that thread.

WILL I get banned if I asked them why that thread got locked? No one was asking questions. No one was being mean or rude. No one was discussing transactional issues. What the actual EFF?

Hah, someone commented on my post that 'comments like these are why the thread gets locked'.
I only wanted to know how many speciality items were going to be in the kit!
I find their TOU extremely patronising.

One of my comments was deleted on that thread. I made the joke about selling handmade cards, and then commented to abr79 about selling her cards on aftcra. The aftcra post was deleted. I don't really get it since that's a handmade sellers website, meaning you sell final projects, not products to make your own crafts (make sense?) So not a competitor of Studio Calico. BUT WHATEVER.

I just received this from Kadian: Hi aggiebonfire00, You have received a response from Kadian in your conversation "Message Board Post" (#54809): Hey there, I just wanted to let you know that your recent message board post was deleted - www.studiocalico.com/community/card-chat/topics/81205-new-stationery-kit-preorder Per our terms of use, Studio Calico reserves the right to delete or lock any comments or threads that are deemed to be rude, disrespectful or any comments that attack a Studio Calico employee or other community member personally. Studio Calico expects members be real, not rude. Meaningful, not mean. If you have any questions, please let us know and our Customer Experience Team can assist you further. To view the entire conversation, please visit the following link: www.studiocalico.com/conversations/54809 Your Studio Calico Team I responded with, "I'm pretty sure my comment was real. And the new "kit" is ugly." My comment wasn't rude. I just said, "Jenn Picard asked for our input on what we want on another thread. I had to laugh. Um…the card kit that I originally subscribed to." I got this response to my cancellation of my card kit from KAITLINW about 2 hours ago Hi Lindsay, I am so sorry for the frustrations this situation has caused! I have cancelled the Card subscription per your request, and the Pop Art kit is the last kit you'll receive from this subscription. We appreciate your many months as a Card subscriber. We are so sad to hear you're disappointed with the company. You've been with us for so long, and your input means so much to us. What would you like to happen? How would you like to see things change? The changes we have already made were of course employed due to much planning and feedback, but we are always open to new, future developments. Thank you so much for your honesty, and I hope to hear from you soon! I am thinking, "EFF YOU SC!"

If they spent half the time making sure their products are up to standards and their items were shipped out properly as they do policing the boards for "rude" posts (which, I'm sorry, we're NOT rude), maybe they wouldn't be in the situation that is forcing them to make these changes in the first place. You know mdpea I was thinking about what you said about letting it go. And I know I need to, too...I'm no longer subscribed and I will no longer purchase anything there (I made the stupid mistake to try and buy something at last call but their poor proofing and listing things with incorrect/no descriptions made me buy something that ended up not being what it was so I demanded they cancel the order and refund the money) but, in the past 7 months, I've spent over $600. So, I'm really angry. I know that's nothing compared to the thousands others have spent, but that's a lot of money for me. Money I could have - should have - used elsewhere. So I'm angry and embarrassed and that makes me want to obsess over every stupid change they're making. And the censoring reeeeeeeally gets to me. Make your changes, fine, but don't be assholes about it. Locking and deleting posts that they "deem rude" when they aren't is just a completely dick move.

Does anyone else think it's funny that you find the Message Board in the "BE INSPIRED" drop down box? There is nothing inspiring about the Message Board to me anymore. You cannot talk about anything anymore or the thread gets deleted or locked.

i think i just visited sc for the last time because i read every single post under the topic about the new card kit and this was the response from sc:
"Thanks for your feedback on the stationery kit.
We will continue to address your questions as we roll-out this exciting new subscription offering, but we ask that you please direct any specific questions or concerns to our Customer Service team where they can be answered appropriately and accurately.
In addition, per our terms of use: Studio Calico reserves the right to delete or lock any comments or threads that are deemed to be rude, disrespectful or any comments that attack a Studio Calico employee or other community member personally. Studio Calico expects members be real, not rude. Meaningful, not mean.
Thank you."
i am a pretty sensitive type and i honestly cannot find a mean or rude comment, anything disrespectful, anything. in a way i am relieved. i have given too much of my very precious time to reading and trying to understand all that is happening. my only connection now will be my ali kit and i will continue to love it (i am sure). so very sad that this is what has happened to a company i used to really enjoy.

I just hope all card subscribers got the email or look at the message board. I would be very upset if I was expecting my normal card kit and got that stationary kit.

It's the middle of summer and many people go off the grid for vacation. I wonder how many will be coming back, and finding out about the changes to their kit, when it's too late to cancel without penalty?

Hey all! Since there was talk of meeting over here since the board is so quiet lately (gee, I wonder why! ) here is an official thread! i have the same name here as on SC, but a different avatar, how about the rest of you? If you are changing your name or avatar for here, would you mind telling us who you are at SC? The board here is way less scary than the old Two Peas reputation would have you believe! Although I think a lot of the old Peas reputation was based on the NSBR, but that is way less intimidating here as well. There isn't a gallery here, per se, but I think maybe we could start a weekly thread where we link some inspiration if anyone is interested? People could link to their own work or we can link from SC or anywhere else we find. Would anyone be interested in that? Here we can talk about shopping spots and new products and where to get the best prices too! Best of all we can talk frankly about kit clubs. i just got my first Hip Kit and I love it. I do wish there were exclusives like SC had, but I am super happy that I got product that is good quality, easy to use and a lot of it! I had Gossamer Blue for a bit, but they are just too feminine for my taste. I keep meaning to check out Scrapbook circle too. Anyway, I think once you ladies dip your foot in here you will find it a nice welcoming board that is about as active as SC, but I think we can make it even more active once everyone gets posting!

It's all very sad, but I'm doing what I can to extricate myself from my 2 subs. I'm very happy that so many of us are here now because the SC boards are dead - and I don't want to be treading on eggshells the whole time. Now this weekend I need to be spending some significant time crafting to use up all the products I've just ordered to test out other subs

I am surprised that card making support thread is not locked. I also don't understand the pencil. I remember thinking that was odd when someone posted the email about the new kit but I thought maybe people who write letters use pencils? I don't know any people personally who write many letters but I think I have seen people on Instagram with "pen pals" (or maybe they are called something different these days!) I think overall they are trying to appeal to people outside of crafting. I can't see many people paying that for some cards but I didn't understand the ABM happy mail kit either so maybe I am just not in the know

I saw on scrapbook.com that AC is now carrying pencils in their lines - maybe that is why SC will be including them? yeah scrapbook.com has some YouTube videos of the new AC lines and one is a line for office use. I think that is what the pencils are in but I am an accountant and I rarely use a pencil and so who does use pencils? And if I am going to use a pencil I use a mechanical one.

Ok, I give up. I am quitting the entire umbrella of SC companies. I ordered the WITL kit from Ali Edwards and when my box arrived two weeks ago, it was crushed in half. My poor album had a huge crease right through the middle of the cover. I started a convo and they assured me they would send a new album right away. The yesterday, I get this resonse to my convo: "I wanted to reach out to you with an update on your replacement product. Unfortunately we have had a system error that caused your product to be delayed. We are very sorry that this has happened. Your order will be pulled and shipped this week, next week at the latest.Again we are sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused you. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything else." The CS is abysmal. It took them 10 days to tell me they hadn't sent a replacement yet. And when they did, they aren't exactly making it a priority to ship. The sad thing is, with the slow econo shipping, I won't have the replacement before the actual WITL begins. And yes, I know I don't need the binder to work on the project, but this whole experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. that is interesting kaybree because i received the same response to a cs issue i had with the WITL kit as well. i thought it must be an isolated incident and, honestly, my trouble was not really a big deal because it was just a ripped envelope that i fixed with some black and white washi. i had asked for a new one simply because it is a cute envelope and i paid for it so i wanted one that wasn't ripped. funny that both of us received the same response. i wonder if there is a staffing issue at present? I got the same message as well. My WITL was missing the Thursday wood veneer, got two Tuesdays.

Okay, I have joined! This is a bit unfamiliar, but I will figure it out soon enough, I suppose. I have the same username and photo. For those who are interested, I have been scrapbooking since 1997ish. I took five years off and came back to it a few years ago. I do PL, traditional scrapbooking, and the occasional card under duress. I have a clean and simple style, although I have done just about all of it over the years. At this stage in my life, clean and simple suits me. I have been married 26 years and have four children: 23, 19, 11, and 10. I have subbed at SC since the beginning of 2013, cancelled about 7 months ago and then re-subbed 5 months ago. I love the community and gallery there and used to love the kits. I think it is time for me to be done with them now though. Next month will be my last. I am undecided about whether or not I should join another kit club. I have looked at a few, but I would love to hear which ones other people like. I am glad to hear you like Hip Kit @skellinton. I appreciate your feedback about Gossamer Blue, because that has been my concern as well when I look at their kits. They are beautiful, but I am not sure they are my style. I have been considering Paper Camellia. I do subscribe to AE's Story Kits, but I would also like to get a kit with 12x12 papers. I don't care about stamps. I don't have a LSS and hate shopping online which is why I like kit clubs. Anyway, thanks for starting the thread and I look forward to getting to know everyone here! Cathy

And my kit shipped last night, it never ever ships the first day, I'm international and not rewards. They have to have lost a lot of subbers for mine to ship 24 hours earlier than usual

I think from the shipping and the amount of stuff left after reveal, a lot of people have left, or are not bothering to buy any extras.

:crazy:Ours (my friend and I share a sub) shipped early too... Probably be last kit though as feeling much the same as all here. Pretty gutted actually as used to love getting my kit. My last 3 are sitting untouched as struggling to find anything to make with them. I looked back to kits like Office Hours, Sugar Rush etc and I've made close to 10 layouts with each and now struggling to make 1!! I was trying to find inspiration to use the last few pieces of Office Hours and looking through the member gallery it really struck me just how many posts there were in the gallery 12 months ago compared to now - it's half the size in recent times. What must SC be thinking ?!? I'm totally gobsmacked they sit back and pretend all is rosy.... Even the do gooder cheerleaders are disappearing. The couple still posting almost look like they are forced (paid!) to pretend it's all wine and roses. Anyway rant almost over ... Love to hear what others think of Hip Kits (international postage looks high though) or Citrus Twist or Scraptastic. One last grip - I tried to add 1 grab bag at last call and postage went up $19.95 in addition to sub. No thanks

I just get the main and I feel like I have plenty to work with. I do add in my stash some but like that I can do that. If you like crate paper, hip kit is definitely a good one. Also they offer to internationals to ship two months of kits together to save on postage. I also personally like that you don't get plain cardstock and stamps with the main kit. I have also had a good experience with scraptastic. I just found they were not my style. I have never gotten a citrus twist kit.

I got my August hip Kit last night (which is funny to me, because Sc just started shipping their terrible kit!) I really like the Hip Kit, I like the variety of embellishments, I like that things go together without being all the same manufacturer, the only thing I would change is the darn sales tax! I live in the same state as them and the sales tax is pretty expensive, but I don't think anyone out of Washington has to pay that. I really like the kits and add ons and the customer service is great!

The Sc board is so dead, they have to be worried. I felt like posting in the PL thread something about why they are asking for feedback when they have no intention of following any of it, but I am just not going to post there anymore. I also wonder what big changes are happening for Pl, you know something is going to be changing there too. I wonder how long it will take them to change to main paper size, I agree with those of you that said that is going to happen so they can save money.

From what I'm seeing, you can only buy the PL (no sub). Which isn't horrible but, again, $30 is a bit high for what I'm seeing you get. I was hoping to try Citrus Twist or Cocoa Daisy this month but I forgot that the AE story kits also have to be cancelled by the 25th (which is weird since kits don't release until the 15th) and didn't realize it until the 27th. So I will get her August story kit and then come September I'll try one of those two.
