re: SC requiring photographs of the mistakes before fixing it issue.
I was thinking about this earlier. Part of me - the cock-eyed optimist/rose-colored glasses wearer - wants to believe that SC is requesting photos not because they don't believe something is broken but because it's for internal review to help with Quality Control and to help future issues.
However, the realist in me realizes that it's most likely a stalling technique. Again, I don't think they don't believe us that something's broken...it's just that they really don't want to deal with it. So if they add another step in the process, perhaps we won't follow through and they won't have to ship out a corrected piece.
All that being said, I have noticed on posts on SC boards and on Ali's classroom boards, she strongly urges people to contact CS when they mention a mistake. Even people who say they aren't going to contact CS because it's not that big of a deal for them. Perhaps SHE is looking for an internal review with all these issues that keep occuring.
Just my 2 cents on the issue as I thought about it a bit this morning (I get really bored when I bake and think about things that make no difference in my every day life. LOL).

As someone who works in customer service, I've totally done the whole 'do-this-extra-step-before-I-help-you' thing! Sometimes it really is needed to return or replace products, but other times I'm hoping they just never get back to me
Interesting thought on Ali's interaction with customers/CS.

My WITL was all intact - had all the right veneers and all the right cards. The only "mistake" is the one Ali already addressed (the backwards days of the week on the chipboard heart). Ah. I hadn't seen Ali address that. I have one of those too.

Why is it that so many in search of threads are being allowed to stay now? People asking to buy stamps and stuff. That was never allowed and everyone knew it, but now they keep popping up because because no one from SC is deleting those threads or addressing it. Is it because those people are excited and actually want their products so it strokes their ego!

Inconsistent TOU...they delete and lock what they deem as unfavorable threads. Such a crock really.

I suppose the members posting are not deemed troublemakers. They've also left alone the thread complaining about the latest Messy Box . My guess is, if it's not complaining about SC they don't care.

Kind of O/T but seeing those new Color Theory ink swatches Cathy V. posted has me convinced that those inks are horrible. I am so happy that I use other brands of dye ink and mostly pigment inks. My pigment inks never ever splotch like that!

My pigment inks never ever splotch like that! Agreed. 80% of the colours are awful. I actually lost a bit of respect for Cathy after her reply to their splotchiness from another poster. No, dye inks aren't supposed to bleed into all paper and have fuzzy edges. And no, they aren't supposed to stay splotchy forever. Most companies (i.e. PTI) will re-formulate their inks to make sure they aren't splotchy not defend their inconsistencies and poor quality. I've used dye inks from Jenni Bowlin, Memento, PTI, and Hero Arts and only SC's perform like this. No matter how well they match their kits, the formulation of the ink is horrible.

But...they're premium dye inks... Whatever that means. She used a lot of fancy words and jargon in that response that just left me shaking my head. Like most people know (or care) what "generational stamping" is. People want a clear, crisp stamped image and those are anything but. The CT inks I have don't seem to do that - my gray StazOn does and it drives me batty. But all the CT ones seem OK to me. But, then, I'm also not very picky about it so maybe they do a bit and I don't notice. But if they ever looked like what was in those images, I would have been very concerned and probably would not have kept buying them. ETA: I'm going to guess most hard-core stampers know what generational stamping is. But to the occasional stamper, not so much. I had to do a google search - didn't even realize what I did with that had a term. The things you learn.

I care about generational stamping lol...
I have a number of CT inks and they seem fine. I know lots of people have splotchiness issues with them, but I don't not sure why...
That being said those pictures were terrible and I know in the future I am buying a set of Lawn Fawn inks because ZOMG Awesome...those and the Ranger Dye inks look the best lately. If you want to see them Jennifer McGuire has some You Tube videos.
I have a few Jenni Bowlin inks and man do I love those...Cough syrup...swoon. I am sad, though, that they stopped making them.

I just noticed something ... the "mini mists" are $4.99 each for .05 oz of mist. The old "Mister Hueys" were $5.50 for one oz of mist.
EDIT: Are the mini mists really .05 oz??? or are they .5 oz???

I checked another website and they had the same image/description so I would guess that's an AC fault.

Ok I just need a brief vent. Come on SC - get your logistics together. My Story Kit and Stamp supposedly shipped on Aug 17 Monday. The USPS tracking has just now been updated to show "pre shipment info" on Aug 20 Thurs. Stupid USPS. I don't know who to be more angry with. Ok vent over.

Do the story kits/stamps ship via mail innovations? Perhaps they were with UPS and are just getting passed off to USPS? That's what used to happen when I'd just get the PL kit from SC. Plus, USPS is notorious for delays in updating their tracking system. It's so annoying.

Okay, where is the pic of the splotchy inks at? Will someone share a link? Since I cancelled my PL sub, I do not go to the SC website anymore. (If that's where it was posted at)

I got an email on the 13th saying my messy box had shipped the 10th, it arrived today the shipping said the 13th, I ended up ordering happy mail which it said shipped the 13th and they both came today. I think they are not shipping the day they say they are shipping

I need a little SC vent, too. It was clear as mud for getting the 4x6 stamp set in Sept for card kit reward subbers....it says you receive it in Sept if you continue your subscription with the new stationary kit. So, do I have to actually "convert" to get it or can I be month-to-month in Sept and receive it? I would then cancel in October since I have no interest in sticking with the stationary kit I just want the stamp set. Of course, they didn't answer the question, just that yes I have to continue my subscription to receive it. AARGH, I'm done, not even going back and forth to clarify since I just figure they would write the rules after the fact anyway. My vent is really that I'm gonna be super ticked if that is a really cute frickin stamp set
