I need a little SC vent, too. It was clear as mud for getting the 4x6 stamp set in Sept for card kit reward subbers....it says you receive it in Sept if you continue your subscription with the new stationary kit. So, do I have to actually "convert" to get it or can I be month-to-month in Sept and receive it? I would then cancel in October since I have no interest in sticking with the stationary kit I just want the stamp set. Of course, they didn't answer the question, just that yes I have to continue my subscription to receive it. AARGH, I'm done, not even going back and forth to clarify since I just figure they would write the rules after the fact anyway. My vent is really that I'm gonna be super ticked if that is a really cute frickin stamp set I thought I read somewhere that if you don't cancel but the date given (25 August?) then you're automatically converted to month by month. I'll see if I can find the blurb.

@shell29 I see what you mean. The email I got says
"CURRENT CARD KIT SUBSCRIBERS
If you have remaining months on your current card subscription, don't fret! You can either convert your subscription to one of our new Stationery kit plans by contacting our Customer Service department or you may cancel your current subscription altogether. If you do not cancel or convert your subscription by August 25th, your subscription will transfer to the month-to-month plan. Supplies are limited for this new kit, so we recommend converting to a new plan as soon as possible.
If you're a rewards subscriber and choose to continue your subscription under our new kit, you will receive a bonus 4x6 stamp set as a thank you for your continued support."
The way I read that, anyone with a current sub who doesn't cancel will be transferred automatically to month by month for the new kit. The added perk for rewards is that you will receive the bonus stamp if you don't cancel.
I don't read it as requiring a request to 'convert.' However, people may want to do that and request say a 6 month sub to get a lower per month price.

anniefb I just wasn't certain, so figured I would ask and their response was "To receive the 4x6 stamp set with your September kit you will need to continue your subscription under our new kit." My question was specifically "...if I do not convert my card kit to a stationary kit, but take the stationary kit month-to-month in September, am I eligible to receive the 4x6 stamp set (I am a rewards member)." I thought I was asking a specific question that they didn't answer and I don't want to deal with it, so I cancelled my card sub. I only wanted Sept for the stamp set.... Still find it hard to believe that SC could afford to alienate their customers that nearly always spent $100+ each month.

Another example, we've all been using the phrase "month to month" subscription. However, on their website, when you select an option to subscribe (Example - PL Kits) they list it as "One month" To me, that would mean something different than "month to month" - it would mean "one and done" without the need to contact them to cancel after that commitment has been met.
I can see how someone who is brand new to SC would be very confused by this. Their FAQ section really doesn't address the question of "what happens when a commitment has been fulfilled" either.

Mine did that, too. Do the story kits/stamps ship via mail innovations? Perhaps they were with UPS and are just getting passed off to USPS? That's what used to happen when I'd just get the PL kit from SC. Plus, USPS is notorious for delays in updating their tracking system. It's so annoying. I think they ship 1st class USPS. And you're right - their tracking is awful. For all I know it will be delivered today! Yeah, mine was sent innovations, and the tracking info said it was coming on the 24th, but it came today (not bad -- I am PNW).

STBC totally agree it seems like they're being deliberately confusing. I don't believe they can get it so wrong time after time just by accident.

I hate mail innovations because it always adds an extra day or two onto the process. I'm hopeful mine shows up today. It left Omaha at 4 am but the tracking says it won't be delivered until Tuesday. I'm 40 minutes away from Omaha...

On SC ink pads - I have found I can get a pretty good image by using an eraser on the stamp before I ink it. I also don't wipe off the "shavings" from the eraser unless it is a big chunk. I am a little tempted by some of the new ink colors but I don't like that they are not doing the stickers on the side. I guess I could create my own? I only would want a few colors though so I may wait until they are sold separately or just use ithe money I would have spent to buy some memento Luxe ink pads

The colors are so rich and creamy! I know a lot of people don't like pigment ink because it takes longer to dry, but honestly, it doesn't take that much time, and a heat gun dries it really fast.

I don't know, but given that they've just changed their Card Kit to a Stationery Kit, and they are now advertising card making classes...it's not looking hopeful

It's such a joke christyharris. First month website glitches, ok...understandable. Sometimes you just can't see mistakes until they're live. Second month with the same and then some? Get that shiz under control. Also, I love that they're offering a card making class...hilarious.

craftykitten and abr79- Maybe they should have a letter-writing class, so people know how to use the new stationery kits. Most people I know send a card much more often than a hand-written letter.

I've been telling my hubby about some of the crazy stuff happening over there. Just told him about the card kit cancellation/new card class. He says, "Wait...what? That doesn't make sense..." EXACTLY.

Once again it's preview day and they are so lost over there! Everything is wrong, listed wrong, not working, and confusing! When are they going to get their act together?!!! The baffling thing is when employees post that they'll add relevant info on Monday. Ummm, these are two day specials. By Monday, the preview specials will be finished. Too little. Too late. April either needs to insist that the key individuals have access to all necessary info (off site or in office) on preview/release days or make these two days during the regular work week. Ideally, they'd have their act together and there wouldn't be these constant hitches every. single. release. that even requires them to be ever present.

If you are going to conduct major business over the weekend, you need to staff your business. Retail stores have people around when they are selling things. I was being snarky up thread, obviously, but seriously, the dates for sneaks, presales, releases, etc. are not mysteries to them, and they need to actually plan.

Goodness, it seems crazy to me that there are problems Every. Single. Time.they release something. Errors on pricing, items not being avaiable, things being added late, etc, etc. Crazy. I must say that video was still awful, showcased practically nothing and what I did see didn't interest me the slightest little bit.

I cancelled my sub after the last kit and I am so glad. I obviously really let go at the end because I didn't even realize today was Preview until I saw the email in my inbox. I went to check it out and was just reaffirmed about my decision. Now to hear that they are still putting out misinformation makes me even more relieved that I am not dealing with that frustration. The only thing I miss is the message board. I still check in, but don't post much - it isn't very active anymore.
