I can see the timer on reveal day or last call only but the 10 minutes was better. Their product pages take so long to load so there's no time to click on them. You pretty much have to go by the title and image only.

Yeah, I really don't get the shortened timer either. It used to make sense when things were gone in seconds just to be sure people didn't hoard stuff in their carts, but now? There's no reason for it. I wish they would explain their reasoning behind some of this... When there is no longer a real frenzy, let's create an artificial one! They probably teach this in their marketing class. |

Also, i sent my cancel request yesterday for my last kit sub and I'll get a early cancellation fee. They still haven't responded. I understood over the holiday weekend but I sincerely hope they aren't going to string me along until the 24th. Take the money, close the account, so I can be done.

So, kind of confused how 2 add on kits warrant being sent in 2 separate packages. My stuff shipped out yesterday (before some rewards members, I might add...) and I received 2 shipping notices. I have ordered waaaay more crap in the past and it all came in 1 box. Why on earth would they do 2 packages? And from the looks of that packing thread, I'm not the only one.

Oh, and did they change something again and not communicate it? I was under the understanding that packing and shipping of purchases follow the same order as before (Intl rewards, rewards, intl subbers, domestic subbers and then all other purchases). Why was mine packed and shipped before many rewards subbers? What else haven't they communicated??

foucaultgirl It was all in one order transaction, so that shouldn't make a difference. Plus, subscribers who do qualify for bundling had smallish orders split up, too. And I just read a non subscriber who had to check out 3 separate times (and paid 3 different shipping fees) got all of hers bundles in one box. Something strange is afoot at the studio calico...

The shipping is weird. Mine is all coming in one box and I had an add-on, my PL and SB subs plus I purchased a few ink pads and the amelia bundle. Mine did go out the first day and I am a rewards member, for now anyways  . I sometimes swear I get more bonuses for my last name beginning with an A than I do as a rewards member (at least so far I haven't got the we over sold note). |

That's total crap. If you have written proof of your request to cancel (your convo), they can't force you into another month. According to the comments on Facebook, they have billed people and shipped on the next months kit, a lot of people said that happened to me too! Shocking!! Where on Facebook? |

I totally get what you're saying. Some of the CT, I still love their style, but damn I'm getting bored. Yes, they use the products each month, but month after month there's nothing new or inspiring from the gallery as a whole. I'm pinning/adding less and less which I think is a sure sign it's time for me to cancel. I may go early since Dec is all about DD (and I've got products coming for that). I really don't need a traditional PL kit that month. The preview next month will determine if I stick around until Nov. Yeah I feel the same way. IMO a CT needs to be diverse so no matter what your style is, you can see how you can use a kit or product. I do appreciate the CT and their hard work each month, but it's all got too 'samey' for me. It's a relief to read this, as I thought it was possibly just me not "getting" new trends, partially because I am, at 32, at least 5 years older, and 50+ lbs heavier, than the demographic SC seems to be most aggressively pursuing. |

Without naming names, because I don't want to dis the CT, (I know they work hard with what they are given and we all know that ain't much) but I found the Gallery very uninspiring for much of this year. So many of the CT have a very specific style, and their projects month after month look exactly the same. Same design, same colours, same white cardstock, etc. I really miss seeing people like Gillian Nelson and Sasha Farina on the CT. They always had such fun, eclectic projects that would make me look at the products in a new way. (I would agree that Welobellie is the best part of the team this year; they should have added her permanently instead of guesting). Sasha Farina was excellent. I remember being disappointed when she dropped her DTs. I still have print-outs of her older layouts from years ago that continue to inspire me. I think the white background is a trend now (?) because I see it used a lot on YouTube. When I subbed way back when I used to follow all the SC DT members and they were all fabulous, imho. When Celine Navarro first joined I was also into her style and I can even look at my albums and pinpoint exactly those that were inspired by her. However, recently, not so much, again probably due to the paucity of product more so than anything else. I LOVE Sasha Farina, and she's another person I wish would return to the DT - I feel like she would provide TONS of inspiration in terms of making really detailed layouts with just stitching, misting, and stamps! |

Yes abragg I saw her post! More brands trusting sc? Means next year eill be worse than this year! I'll watch from afar. I unfollowed all sc staff except gluestickgirl because she actually scrapbooks and her pages are great. I follow most of the ct as well. It's not their fault sc went downhill.

I was looking at the hip kit club and they get 3 sheets of cardstock and NINE sheets of paper.
Really makes our chintzy 2 and 6 look even worse. I get that SC does exclusives, but I mean is it really worth that much more per sheet? My last kits should be here any minute and now the sadness is setting in. But the kits really aren't what they were and it's not going to get any better.
When I worked at SAMs club which is a division of Walmart, we as cashiers had to push upgraded memberships--because they are 100% pure profit. It doesn't cost the company anything to sell.
SC seems to push a lot of classes and I'm betting because once the artist or teacher is compensated, it costs the company the same amount to sell one class seat as it does 100. If I was a gambler I'd say 2016 will be the year of the digital--they'll push that because again once the designer is paid, they can sell it thousands of times at no cost.

Like seriously more willpower than I am using to keep from eating that whole container of fudge swirl ice cream calling my name in the freezer! |

My brimfield kits just came and wow. The SB and PL have the same acetate shapes packet and the same enamel dots package. A page of super skinny washi, the 4x6. The one letter alpha. The 2 roller stamps, one of them is just months of the year. It is utterly the biggest ripoff ever--worse than fairground. I'm not feeling bad about unsubbing now!
But the jokes on them, they accidentally put 2 enamel dot pkgs in my SB kit. Ha! Take that sc.

I bought one at M's when they had all the HS stuff 40% off. This is what annoys me. They shouldn't be repeating items in the kits when they know darn well that people sub to more than one kit. Uggh. Order double the quantity and the wholesale cost usually goes down. Yes, everyone will use them eventually, but things like this just smack of laziness and cheapness to me. |
