I bet imperia's post will be next to go since someone posted it is against tou. I imagine on Monday more members will be getting banned notices or warnings. People are bing kind of sassy over there today! I just read that post, and had to reply. I´m pretty sure I´ll get a banning notice tomorrow. I just can´t help my self. I think that the way they are treating loyal customers is awful. Plain rude! The way they are handling things now is just WOW..... No sorry, no statements, no nothing. Just banning people for letting their customers know the truth about them. I bet you and @jhenry4 will get banning notices tomorrow, I'm so tempted to jump in on it too! People are being brainwashed over there!

I've seen a bunch of people mention the weight discrepancy on packages that should be exactly the same. Aren't international subbers charged shipping based on weight? Does that apply to domestic subbers/non-subbers, too? If so, it sounds like you might be getting charged additional shipping charges for a package that's listed as heavier than it actually is. Domestic orders are based on weight for non bundled orders, subbers already have shipping built into the cost of their kit. Since I am not a subber any order I make is based on weight, but the weight is determined before it even ships, it shows u when you check out. This month there was one PL add on that would have cost 7.00 in shipping charges, other pl kits only cost 4.50. People wrote to ask SC about it and they said it was correct even though there was nothing in that kit that should cost that much to ship. I cannot remember what it was called, but it is the one with the KP food stamp in it.

Couldn't this be fraud? I think I would weigh my package(s). In fact, for as highpriced as their shipping is, I would weigh all of my packages from now on.

I don't know. SC does have to pay UPS/USPS to transport the packages, so if you pay $7 in shipping for something, SC is probably using that to pay the delivery company (which is what they're supposed to do, of course). For this double shipment craziness, though, it just makes things seem fishy. If I bought the PL kit and it was (say) 1.5 lbs, then both my shipments should be 1.5, not 1.5 and 2.5 lbs. It makes no sense. Unless people start getting their double shipments and the lighter weight box is actually missing stuff.

Is it just US customers who are getting double shipments? What about our Canadian and International friends? I'm international and just got one email to say my subs had shipped. There's no tracking number with economy international shipping but I'm assuming I didn't have a duplicate because I certainly haven't had a follow up asking me to return anything.

This was the first month I actually went through it with a fine toothed comb. Usually, I just assume it's all there. Won't be doing that again.

I asked earlier if those people who received doubles were charged twice on their cc. They said no. If UPS comes to my house 3x and I'm at work, that would mean I'd get charged for that double because it wasn't returned. There are many people who work. I foresee a huge kerfuffle coming.
I checked UPS - the company does NOT even have to send emails to their customers. UPS would even do that for the company - send emails to your customers with the prepaid return label already attached. Well, that's a no-brainer, wouldn't you think. It begs the question "WHY DO IT THE HARD WAY?"
(Btw, 3 times is the limit, after that UPS will charge the company extra.)

Well, this whole returning issue makes zero sense. Why not just email the prepaid return label to the customers who received a double shipment? I’ve had this happen a couple times before…I got an email with an attachment. I printed it and dropped off the package at the Office Depot near me on my way to work. Or if I saw a UPS truck somewhere I would hand it over to the driver. No hassles. No waiting at home for UPS. I would think SC would have a far higher likelihood of getting those boxes back if they did it the normal way. What happens after three unsuccessful attempts by UPS? (I don’t know, but this is sounding like a time bomb waiting to explode.) The whole thing is just odd. They must be paying a fortune to get the stuff back. Mine were both shipped the same day, but one is coming Wednesday the other Thursday. It would make much more sense for them to ship us a return label and have us drop the boxes off, but if they did that I sure as heck would expect some sort of "thank you" for doing so. I wonder if they think people are more likely to turn the boxes over if someone comes to the house rather then dropping it off. They have to know we don't have to return the boxes, since it was their error we are allowed to keep them and there is nothing they can do about it. I would never do that because I know that just means someone else isn't getting their order and karma can be a bitch, but if I am not home when ups comes by SC better figure out another way to get their box back. If I had duplicate pl packages coming I sure as heck would swap the bag out for an old box though. They certainly have plenty of those bags to replace it and that would be hilarious! I started a "conversation" before this whole things exploded. I told them I will not be available for UPS to pick up and I won't have a package sitting on my porch for who knows how long so they can email me a prepaid label if they want. Haven't heard anything since. I have never dealt with a company like this. Usually they email you a label and that's that. It seems to me that this is nearly impossible for them to get the packages back. And they can't charge ppl for their error. They could threaten people and say we know who you are and your account will be frozen until we get our goods back. Wouldn't put that past them. It's sad that they delete comments on their MB because for some people that's the only way they know what's going on and it takes forever to hear back from SC if you start a conversation. Geez! Most companies have a phone number so you can get a quick answer.

I think they are having ups pick it up rather than having people print labels because they think people will be more likely to turn the boxes over. No one has to turn the packages back in though, SC has no recourse if you don't. The second box is yours to keep. I just won't keep it because I don't want someone else to miss out on product they ordered.

Am I the only one not into Brene Brown, "brave girl" stuff or any of that? I've read one of her books way back when (I have daughters so I'm always trying to learn about raising them and this is another tool in the box.....) and I found it useful but I don't need cards, reminders, quotes, home decor, etc. to remind myself to be brave, etc. Maybe because for the most part I am a confident woman as it is by a stroke of luck. I don't knock it for anyone who needs the encouragement (may be my daughters some day) but I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't like that kind of stuff around my house/scrapbooks? Is it just me?!! I personally love her work - I find it interesting and relevant/helpful to me... But no, I don't want all the kitsch... I like her stuff because it's so non-comsumerish (is that a word?)... I like that it's information based on research and not sound bites or slogans... If she offered a class, I'd take it... But to wear, carry, decorate, and otherwise brand everything around me with her stuff, no... Somehow to me it feels cheap and gimmicky once a legit scientific resource becomes all key chains and fridge magnets... Hoping for the best... I'm not an SC fan, but I would be tempted if it was a pure class that just happened to include scrapbooking as a creative element... Best scenario would be if it was also available for purchase from Brene Brown's website

I suppose I could be reading all the legalize wrong.....

Just a thought here... Why don't you sign up here at 2peasrefugees with a different name so that your SC name is different than on here. Then they can't decipher who is who. My name is not the same on the SC boards. Also, you guys getting a box should use the hashtag #mysckitishere and show both boxes and mention the mix up and how horrible SC is going about getting their boxes back. Social media can be powerful. I am reading all over FB groups about how unhappy people are about this and the new sub policy. And then others chime in saying they would never sub to such a company. So there is a bit of power in your hands, not SC's. Even though they want you all to think otherwise.

That's interesting about the SC kits feeling like "me" because I used to feel that way too. I loved that they seemed more sophisticated and not so themey but lately they have been off. With the specialty papers that are hard to miss and this last month with the circus themed acetate pieces. It was honestly easier to cancel than I thought. Then after getting my last kit and all the drama and changes working with my last kits basically sucked. The MB doesn't even have the same feel. Happy to be here! I feel the same way - I used to love most everything in my kits - the colors, the mix of patterns, the fun embellies - I thought of the kits as classic with a modern twist. But I have struggled with most of the kits this calendar year. Though I have to say that I am loving Brimfield - especially mixing it with some of the bits from Clara that were in my box. Most of the papers feel like the old SC to me. But it does seem light - especially when it comes to embellies.

And don't comment much....much a lurker, for many years at sc. I have not subscribed for a long while at sc, but bought a few classes and such over there on and off for many years.... I miss the kits of old... they were packed and so much fun... but not recently to my liking, anyway....not to slam anyone's style or preference....I was going to subscribe to the card kit, but sure glad I didn't. If I wanted premade cards, I would buy a box at Michael's.

OK, I think I'm caught up.
1. If you don't return your duplicate, I can see SC charging the customer for the 2nd shipment. Then if the customer has any sense, they would dispute this and it would probably end badly. 2. If you get a duplicate, SC tells you NOT to open it. But given how they have made many mistakes in not sending everything in a kit and/or sending damaged item PLUS the size discrepancy, the customer would be foolish NOT to open it. That would mean that SC would have to rely on the honesty of the customer to return everything that was supposed to be in the box and not take something extra. (And I think most people would be honest.) BUT if the box had yet another error....what would SC do to the customer who returned their duplicate missing anything, even a 25 cent tag? I don't see forgiveness from Bowling Green. 3. People who were supposed to get a stamp, etc. and charged for it are under the impression that SC will send them a replacement once the duplicates come back. Is there anything written down and sent that said this? If not, and to be honest, even if they did, I can see the temptation of SC to say, "Sorry, not sorry" and put them out on the marketplace and let people fight for it. 4. If you are on the banned list, how would you contact SC to straighten out missing pieces, refunds due to you, etc.? 5. How does SC treat people who own LSS? Do they make these kinds of mistakes with quantity and quality? Seven Papers is selling paper to LSS and so I'm curious.
I'm sure I have more questions and ugly scenarios because it's such an epic clustercuss which no real end in sight.

If my box is missing anything, then they need to send me what is missing or refund my credit card. They told me that they don't want my business, so a store credit won't work! I love how they talk about starting a conversation with them, but they actually sent me an email. I haven't been getting their promo emails, so what if I hadn't received that email from Savannah and was just posting away on SC all weekend? I think it's complete bullshit that they are trying to delete my entire account so I won't have access to classes that I paid for. I go back and read the things in the message boards for the classes that I paid for. Fine. Don't want me to participate on your boards, then deny me access to that. But to take away stuff that I paid for because you can't handle the truth is ridiculous. And what pisses me off the most is that there are people that complain about stuff on that message board and don't even buy stuff from them. I was buying stuff from them through all of their shitstorms. April and company are just a bunch of babies who have no business running a company. They give women in the workplace a bad name. Get some big girl panties.
