When I first saw the name of the contest winner on one of the posts here – Dymock - I recognized the name but couldn’t recall how. This afternoon it just occurred to me…I had a SB book from way back when written by Kristina Contes (remember the HOF scandal? I think it was on the old 2 peas board.). Kristina and Meghan formed The Dares (does anyone remember that – they were the rebel chicks of the scrapbooking world). I no longer have that book but I’m pretty sure my recollection is accurate. Does anyone here know what I’m talking about? Interesting. I just did a google search and found The Dares old blog and the book on Amazon. Verrrry interesting. Yep...that's it. I now remember that red cover. |

anothercrafter I haven't heard anyone else mention the missing shipping charges yet. At least they didn't ask you to pay after the fact. SC made the right call on that (surprise!). They had some serious computer issues this month. You keep thinking each month, "OK, last month XYZ happened and they have to have fixed that. This month should be smooth!" Then... Their CS and shipping dept people must be so frustrated. And I don't blame them. It would be really stressful working at a place where these issues crop up routinely.

Yeah, she has been angling for a DT spot for awhile now, and she is always so super rude to other people's posts. I hate that she uses not being a native English speaker as an excuse for her rudeness and hand-slapping. She is always very coherent in her writing and not being a native English speaker is not a reason she comes across so snotty. Heck, her rudeness fits right in with the CEO's over there, I am surprised she isn't chosen for the DT just for ability to be snotty. . When does SC announce the new DT? Since so many of the DT are being so incredibly quiet and not producing much, I wonder if they are in the process of announcing a new DT and that is why. Maybe the old DT members are done with their term and that is why? |

Wow Rockermorsans's comment on that constructive criticism thread is like being scolded by your mom! I really hope that she re words it! I really like and respect Magdalena a lot, but her comment really rubs me the wrong way. Maybe she gets her kits for free so she doesn't care about this stuff. She does lovely layouts but I unfollowed her tonight. Her attitude is way more toxic than anyone else's. I don't see anything constructive in her opinion. Aggie and abragg.....I'm going to miss you ladies on those boards although I'm thinking I will just hang out here and on ali's and skip SC altogether |

I know that abr79 and I are sad that we have been targeted by the PTB at SC. I am thankful that more of my friends haven't been banned though. I am super excited that AE messaged me and said my account with her is unaffected. I will just hang out over there and here! I have gotten several sweet email from members. I can't remember who posted it over at SC today, but after all these years…it was the relationships that kept me at SC, not the kits. Especially as of late. I will miss being a part of the old SC. Definitely not what it has become. And I am going to hate not being able to comment on the layouts posted over there. I hope people start posting them over here so I can praise them. |

I just wanted to let you guys know that Amber Housley has liked my thread about being positive and Constructive. She is the first staff member of SC to like or comment as far as i can see so far. So maybe it won't be deleted after all. MOST people were able to keep their emotion in check and be respectful and Even Rockermorsans seemed willing to "try" to adjust her comment and apologized to me in private message. So I'm hoping everyone continues voicing their thoughts in this respectful manner and (I know this seems very unlikely)maybe SC will respond positively.

Once I saw that there were problems, I opened my kit and all was there an no duplicate boxes for me. My problem is I wouldn't have known there was a problem. I started a convo awhile back that I was not getting special and sale emails anymore. I still get one when I order something, but never any other emails, that I know that others have gotten. I spoke with someone and asked about it, she told me to switch to another email, which I gave her my only other email account. She then said, she couldn't use it, because that is what I signed up at Ali's site with? So then I asked what we could do about it. She said just open a new email account. I shouldn't have to open a separate email account when there is obviously a problem on your end (to which she admitted there was but they didnt know what to do). I am so frustrated I think should just cancel when I can.

I am glad to Rockermorsan messaged you an apology. That was very considerate of her. I know sometimes things across as ruder or more hostile that we intend it to. I have been hanging out at SC since 2011 and have seen so many changes. I have to say though the part that I hate the most is the change in the kits. I miss the card kit and how the scrapbook kit used to be. Some of my favorite papers and embellishments have come from SC kits. I do like some of the kits but they just seem so thin. I mean compare Brimfield to Hip Kits September kit- not even comparable. I do like Brimfield and would have probably done a one month purchase if it had been more packed.
I do think Lori leaving really changed things. She was awesome- even if things went bad, she handled it so well. I also remember the marketing person being not so bad Either - not great but not awful - was her name Lisa? I think there was some sort of issue when she left as well- anyone remember? Her and the new customer service rep were there one minute and gone the next...

My parcels always have the same value declared for customs, even the AE ones (I think 15/20 dollars? Which is around the limit customs in Spain start examining packages and charging) I'm guessing they rather take the "insurance loss" if something happens with the parcel than annoy international costumers with delays and customs fees. I'm not sure how I missed this...you live in Spain? Me too! Yes! I'm from Gijón, Asturias. Have you been here long? I hope we spaniards are making you feel welcome! |

Has anyone gotten a reply from an SC convo in the past few days? I'm wondering how long it's going to take given
the shipping issues. I can only imagine what the warehouse is going to be like with thousands of boxes returning
and needing to be reprocessed. My sub is over and I'm wondering if I send the cancellation convo on the
22nd (with an emphatic do not ask me again) if it will be processed by the 25th.

Anyone who sends a convo with a cancellation request before the 25th is done. If SC doesn't get to it and the order is processed after you've canceled, then you need to call your CC company and dispute the transaction.

I sent them 2 messages last Friday, They answered 1 on Monday but not the other about returning packages. I sent them another message about the unanswered one yesterday. It's frustrating. They could at least send another auto email stating they are overwhelmed right now and will respond soon. They might just be prioritizing emails so I would try.  |

Misty (my sis) has never gotten an email from SC other than when she ordered her kit. She got the confirmation. Other than that - nada. No last calls, no new kit info, etc.

I respect that you like and respect her (lol), but I've seen some pretty nasty comments from her along the same lines of today's. I'm pretty sure shes been called out, but that's her delivery. Ironically, she's doing the exact same thing she's accusing others of. yeah, she's bitching about the people who bitch too much. It is ironic. The level of meta-complaining is generally where I chime in, because I'm usually hopelessly late to the party. I am also really baffled by the thought process of the posters who start the "RELAX, it's JUST PAPER!!!" threads in response to complaints. "Gee, I feel so much better now that you've pointed out how petty and stupid I am! Please, instruct me in how I can emulate your chic insousance in regard to matters that your insightful commands have revealed to be too trivial for comment ! " - No one ever. If anything, those threads seem to generate MORE enmity and discontent, in addition to meta-complaint threads, which spawn their own opposing meta-meta complaint threads, ect. However, that's not the tone that I perceived from Magdalena's comment. I am generally a Rockermorsan fan-girl, and the tone of her statement read, to me, as though she's been bashed *somewhere* for being too pro-SC. I don't believe that was happening in that thread, at all, but I'm also obviously no universal arbitrator of linguistic intent and perception. I hope she'll clarify what she meant (unless I'm completely wrong, which is an ever-present option!) @devildog I also don't think you said anything that was in any way harsh or worthy of being chastised! |

But, the kicker is that in all my dead-horse beating comments I never devalued anyone else's comments - even if they disagreed with me. Goes back to the double standards and it sucks. Also, you all were right about visiting that smack blog with a thick skin/hasmat suit. Apparently aggiebonfire00 and I are "annoying AF"...good to know. Looks like someone tried to stick up for us, but whatever. I now know about that blog and I will probably stay away from it (especially when I am tired and hungry and highly emotional from being tired and hungry) (I can't eat anything right now because my mouth is having some kind of reaction to all the antibiotics I've been on...I can't chew, can barely swallow and my left side of my jaw feels like I've been punched). I will say this - at least I have the balls to say how I feel rather than hiding behind the anonymity of that blog. |

No need to apologize. Everybody has different experiences with people, and something that might stand out to me might not to you, and vice versa.  I don't usually "butt heads" with people on message boards (although some might not like me or what I say  ). In all the years I was a member at 2Peas, I think I got into somewhat heated discussions with 2 different people. And now, it's been 2 at SC and she's one of them. I guess I can't really say "heated" but I couldn't keep my pie hole shut. I did feel bad for derailing the positive thread topic, but man...I just don't like when people try to dictate others get over it, move on, etc. As a matter of fact, the one other SC member I got somewhat heated with was saying the same thing. It's all good.  |

I think it's an apt description of the smack blog. I should say, too, that it seems like there's a great deal of in-fighting on the smack blog, so it's likely that *1* person finds you annoying, not legions. I don't, and I know that plenty of people here don't. I'n sorry that you're being targeted on the smack blog! HUGS!!! |

That blog is mean for the sake of being mean, I think. It's definitely not worth thinking about, or getting hurt by, or overanalyzing. If you haven't called your doctor about those antibiotics, you need to. If she can't switch the rx to something else, at least she can prescribe or recommend something to help with your reaction. |
