So, basically, if we are told something in a conversation, we can't go repeat it on the boards. The $1.50 sticky notes in the planner kit probably helped with this newest, hair brained decision. People talk - squelching it on the boards isn't going to stop the talking.
Honestly, if I can't be honest out there - if I can't express not only my joy and happiness but also my dissatisfaction, it is no longer a message or discussion board. It's a "let's kiss April's ass" board. Snf, I'm sorry, if you are running a crap business, there ain't gonna be any ass kissing on my end.
Just remove the boards at this point. They don't have dedicated moderators and because she locked that thread, its gonna get buried on the active board (let's be real here - who clicks on the announcement board anymore since they rarely make announcements there), people are going to write about all the things she doesn't want us to talk about. It's ridiculous and is creating more work for the staff.
I agree that customer service issues shouldn't be address on the boards - I have never agreed at how Amanda and.others would try and address issues out there. But to deny people to even talk.about it? Low, low, lowest of lows.
My respect for her was already pretty nonexistent. It is now completely gone.

So basically when April said she was going to be transparent, she really didn't mean it. Custer A gets $5 for bad sticky notes and Custer B (who won't kiss Aprils behind) only gets $1.25.

My letter stickers from my Fairground kit were faulty and I was promised a new set would be sent... That "order" is still active almost 2 weeks later. Cause it's hard to stick them in an envelope. Or add them to my Christmas in July package which has already been sent. I guess I should send a convo and wait another 48 hours for another canned response. That is surely the most effective system. Blah. I'm glad I quit my sub.

Did that actually happen? Not yet - being able to post that to the board helps prevent the illusion of favortism. Now, no one can post what their solution to whatever problem might be, so in theory, they can play favorites with their solutions. I certainly wouldn't put it past them |

Every time I think there couldn't possibly be one more harebrained decision - bam - April strikes again. OMG. And always playing the 'sitting in the garage small start-up' tune.
I agree it's very telling that Rob is leaving after only 6 months. I think whoever talked about April micro-managing everything was undoubtedly correct.
I realised this morning that shopping at SC has just got too stressful - and this is supposed to be my hobby - I have plenty of stress in the other parts of my life. So I'm using up my points this month (assuming of course I can snag anything with that ludicrous 5 min cart) and I'm cancelling both subs as soon as my SB commitment is finished. I'll take my hard-earned $ to a company that actually appreciates and values it.

I have always respected that others don't have the same.opinions as me. Yet, time and time again, whenever I speak up, I'm told to shut up and just go away. Sometimes indirectly (like April's new TOU) and sometimes directly. I think that's what bothers me most...other members not respecting my opinion when I respect theirs. Mine happens to be negative so that males it fair game?
Just pisses me off.

That's completely sucky abr79...I've been there and noticed that those who speak up and have not drunk the koolaid have basically been told to leave. I still can't work with my last SC kit because I get grouchy about the whole situation again. This is my hobby that I love and SC has tarnished it. |

I've been a member here for about 10 months but typically spend my time on the NSBR boards. The GS board should get more active now.
I'm a PL subscriber and have been since the first kit. I'll be done by the end of the year, if not sooner. I'm also a subscriber to Ali's Story kits. Scraptastic and Gossamer Blue. I may let GB go. I just find I'm not using it that much.

kaybree I find it rather amusing that the thread gets locked after one of the cheerleaders and anti-complainers complained about the complainers calling us trolls. Oh, the irony. That thread was staying, for the most part, completely respectful until the cheerleaders showed up and started bad-mouthing the "negative" people. Yeah, I was beating a dead horse with a lot of my comments the past few weeks. I'm woman enough to admit that. And, clearly, I was wasting my breath because SC has zero intention of doing right by the customers. But, I don't think I was being a troll, by any means.
