Ladies, I literally appreciate you so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for thinking of me and being so willing to help a girl out. Buddy sends you all kisses. I reached out to Christine and she confirmed that this stamp will be available digitally (which I should have no problems purchasing or I can ask my MIL to purchase with her USA bank card), so I can print and cut on my Cricut to my hearts content. Winning! I can save myself some dollar and put this machine to good use. Thank you, thank you. 😘 So happy to hear it! 🤗

Happy Sunday, ladies! I have a question for the common room participants amongst us. I noticed that Andrea retrohipmama hosted one of her 'Retro Hip Crafty Parties' last week, where a whole load of people, assumably from across the US, joined for a non-social distancing and no masks crop. People are hugging and getting close enough where you could actually smell their breath. What??? Are we not in a global pandemic? https://www.instagram.com/p/CMBPWdKghsN I haven't been able to spend any time indoors with anyone who I don't live with for the last two months and counting. We have been under some form of restriction in the UK for almost 365 days. We have not been able to sit that close to people or gather in groups a year. There are people who have not hugged their relatives for a year. How is this happening in the US? Do you guys just not have any restrictions? ETA: I'm not judging anyone. Follow your guidance from your government. I'm just sat over here, not able to leave my home unless its for exercise, watching this in awe.

Do you guys just not have any restrictions? ETA: I'm not judging anyone. Follow your guidance from your government. I'm just sat over here, not able to leave my home unless its for exercise, watching this in awe. First off, they're in Texas, which just lifted their mask mandate completely. It's up to the business if they want to have a mandate or not, ie: Target, Costco. No, Texas is not in some special bubble of protection. There have been over 45K deaths in Texas alone, no way in hell would I be attending some crafty get together with 34(?) of my not-so-closest friends and anybody else they've run into in the past 2 weeks. I'm in the US and photos like this make me stare in awe because they're so fucking stupid. We are in a pandemic, yet it's all "you do you" and "you can't live in fear" when there's been over 500,000 people who have died (in the US). We are still under travel restrictions, based on the CDC website. I do not think all the people attending these events are following the protocols. I believe you can travel safely, but this whole thing screams "What CV?!". But, hey, I'm sure their crafting time is more important than all that jibber jabber. Live kind, be the light, help the spread.

I don’t get it. I’ve received vaccine shot #1. Once I have #2 doesn’t mean COVID-19 is suddenly gone. First, there are still a LOT of people not vaccinated, including everyone else in my house. Second, it’s not a guarantee that you can’t get it or give it. I did not spend the past year living under restrictions just to get infected as the vaccine is rolling out. Thirdly, these people are effectively STRANGERS! Yeah, let me get all up close and personal with people I only know online or don’t know at all. I see a few with masks, I wonder if they were ostracized for “living in fear?”

Andrea's been a fraud for years in my eyes. She has exposed herself as a Trumper and conspiracy theorist in 2020. Those who still loyally follow her and would sign up for such an event must at the very least be aware of her mindset and likely agree with it. I haven't held someone besides my SO since mid-February last year. I haven't been around people (being socially distant) without a mask since March 2020, even outside, even during the summer when our cases dropped dramatically. And when I do get vaccinated (one day, finally, praise be), I will continue to play it safe and be careful. We are far from out of the woods even when most people are vaccinated. The variants are running wild. Immunity remains an unknown. We are in the experiment phase of this virus. Just look at the situation in Manaus right now due to the P.1 variant that emerged there less than three months ago. It's a catastrophe with the variant evading over 60% of immunity.

cbscrapper Condolences. Pets are members of the family, period. Losing them is incredibly hard. I hope you can find some extra healing through memory-keeping. Scrapbooking can really act as therapy. Much love to you. 🤍 peachiceteas So glad you've found the perfect compromise with the digi stamp. Christine's been really top notch at offering her products in both formats to meet as many crafty needs as possible!

Those who still loyally follow her and would sign up for such an event must at the very least be aware of her mindset and likely agree with it. She's the worst. And she blocked me after I posted on her instagram "What a fun superspreader event! Hope you're all vaccinated or maybe you don't care about the over 500K people that have died in the US." Does getting blocked by a douche canoe mean I've arrived?

And she feels guilty. She kept telling me on the phone that she was sorry I couldn't get vaccinated. It was this absurd back-and-forth. "Just be happy! You're prioritary and you got it!" "I'm sorry you can't get the vaccine right now. I feel bad." "Be happy for a moment, come on!" "I'm sorry for you." Anyhoo, next shot in early April. She's just got to stay safe for one more month now...

My Mom and her husband were able to snag their 1st shots yesterday out of the blue because a church down there had 100 shots leftover! It's super crazy considering the population age down in her area, but it's also a very red state... I shit you not, the nurse who gave her her shot was not masked. My Mom was texting me photos from the drive thru line(of course). I did not expect to be very emotional about it, but I was. I ran around the house telling my Zooming kids and husband. They thought I was crazy.

I totally get your enthusiasm and emotions. 💖 I kept a cool façade on the phone with her but I started sobbing (happy tears) when I hung up. My SO thought something had gone wrong at the vaccination centre when he took off his headphones and heard me crying. Cannot believe they got vaccinated by maskless people. What the actual fuck? What's going on? My mother's experience was the polar opposite. No drive-through here but masked nurses + doctors who took every precaution and reminded her to disinfect her hands when she got up after the shot and again when she left the centre. She was immediately vaccinated and then redirected to a ventilated and safely spaced out resting area to monitor the immediate reaction to the vaccine (just to make sure there was no anaphylactic shock or fainting). She said the staff was incredibly kind and reassuring. Can't wait for early April now!

It kills me that these people are always so reactionary instead of open to conversation. Damn. I tried communicating with her this summer about some of the conspiracy theories that were fully debunked this summer and she did not want to hear it. Every time I see her name tagged in other scrapbookers instagrams I want to send them a message to let them know what kind of person they're dealing with but I don't think it would help or they wouldn't believe me and call me a troll.

YAS! So happy for those who's family have been vaccinated. The end is in sight my friends.
Absolutely not cool that vaccines are being administered without the proper PPE.

Holy shit! Is there a way to report that nurse? Did your mom catch their name? I actually have a photo of the lady and can zoom in on her name tag. I would report her, except it won't do any good because they're in BFE Alabama and that's just how they do things. My Mom and her husband were masked up and just so grateful to be getting their first shots.

They thought I was crazy. It is emotional! I am about the least emotional person you will meet 🙄 and I started to get choked up when I got my first shot last week. In the big scheme of things, this past year has not been nearly as hard on our family as so many others, so it really surprised me to feel such overwhelming emotions about it. And my kids (who have to be physically restrained annually for their flu shots) were admittedly jealous and can hardly wait for their chance when it is approved for them.

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere in this thread and I missed it, but has anyone had issues with their older SC stamps where the printing on the stamp carrier sheet has started to come off onto their stamps? This is on stamps that are probably 6 years old. It's mostly on stamps from that one month where they printed the designs on the wrong sheet (the backing sheet instead of the front sheet, maybe Hello Hello?), but it also happened with one of my other stamp sets too. I haven't tried using them yet, they might be fine, but it's just something I've never had happen before.

I haven't noticed this issue but I'll take another look at my older SC stamp sets today to check! I did notice the printing on the stamp carrier sheet of the Quarantine stamp set Geralyn designed for SC had rubbed off lightly on the stamp sleeve it came in. That's less than a year old... Eep!

There was a big snow storm a few days before, and because they live in a small village in rural Scotland, they were still snowed in . Thankfully my brother is staying with them at the moment, so they got their car out the day before and left it close to the main road. Then on the day hiked to it through the fields. I was on tenterhooks all week expecting them to tell me that they missed their appointment. Instead with a bit of planning and prep, all went smoothly. My sister, who is a HS teacher, was vaccinated last week and I was so very thankful. Now I have a story for one of those BEST EVER stamps! Congrats sleepingbooty. It's such a relief.

Are any subscribers thinking of skipping this month's stamp kit? I love this Diary of a Foodie set and see myself using it a lot, but I don't want to commit to a plan for just one set.... if you're subscribed but aren't interested in this one, I'm more than happy to Paypal/Venmo the $20 and will cover whatever the postage cost is to get it from you to me. I hope this makes sense!

I noticed that the promo code works on subscriptions, so I tried to add the month-by-month option to my cart to check out with the other sets that I was buying. Completed my order and then found out in my confirmation that sub stamp wasn't in the order... and since I already used the promo code, I can't use it again. So now I'm back to square one. They do have a digital version and I'll get that if I need to, but I'd prefer the real stamps.
Damn it! Always proofread before hitting submit, Peas.
