I live in my state capitol so I like the view of the capitol building in the spring when all the trees are flowering.

I don't have a view where I live which is in the south. It's so flat here you can watch your dog run away for a week! I visited Colorado once and I know for a fact I would never get tired of that stunning view!

The most beautiful view from here in the prairies, is the mountains. Especially when they're blue and white with a little bit of snow, and the fields are a lush green in the spring!

I live in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Locally, beautiful rolling hills and lots of trees. Since we live so close to the mountains, if we drive less than 20 mins we see mountains. Lake Lanier is close by so we have a lake view as well. The Atlantic coastline if you drive 4 hours east. I love Georgia - mountains, lakes, and ocean.

Sorry that picture is so small, I'm just trying to figure things out here. Most pictures I've tried to put up are too big!

If you click on the picture, it's bigger, and you can actually see the mountains.

In my town there isn't much to see, lots of cows and almonds. I do live about a hour from Yosemite, so you don't have to drive too far to see beautiful scenery.

I live in the redwoods. I constantly tell my kids you have no clue how lucky you are, most people never see a redwood (IRL), let alone be able to live and play amongst them.

I live in the Smoky Mountains. While pretty, no where near as gorgeous, in my opinion, as the Rockies...

ETA: These are not my pictures, I'm at work on my work computer so these are internet pictures! I live about 15 minutes North of Seattle and I love looking at the Space Needle. I also love that we can see Mt Rainier from just about anywhere near Seattle and of course we have the water and the ferries.

We live on Columbia Lake in British Columbia. We did this hike yesterday, which was 15 minutes from our house and then a half hour up to the top. I love being this close to trails and the outdoors.

I live on the westcoast of Norway. It's beautiful around me. I live on a fairly flat island, but the mountains and fjords are close. I have the rocky coastline and the ocean on one side, and the mountains on the other This picture shows the area where I do my runs. I run by an almost 800 year old stone church, over fields and into a tiny island with a forest on it. There's always wild sheep grazing around me, not too scared of people. And this is me and my husband on a skiing trip this spring. ETA my photos

Buford Dam on Lake Lanier There is a road that crosses the dam and the views on both sides of the road are beautiful. On one side is the lake - a beautiful lake surrounded by parks and trees and dotted with tree covered islands. On the other side is the river flowing from the dam - not what someone from, say, Coloroado, would call a canyon, but a deep drop for a Georgian. The river flows thru some really pretty rocks. When water is released, the river is sometimes covered in fog. Very Pretty! There is also a view in downtown Atlanta my family calls the Mommy view. You come around a curve and, suddenly, there is the skyline of the city. On a clear night, especially with a moon, it is breathtaking. On a cloudy night, with a bit of drizzle, you look around for Batman to come flying down from a building - very Gothamesque! When we were newly arrived in Atlanta and were so poor we couldn't afford a sitter and movie, we would throw the kiddo in the car and head downtown and take in the view a couple of times. It was one of my favorite things to do, so my family started referring to it as the Mommy view. Marcy I can totally relate to this post as I live north of Atlanta. Another beautiful view on a clear day is on top of Stone. Mtn. You can see for miles!

Right now it's rolling fields of bright yellow canola in full bloom.
to the west is the Rocky Mountains - although forest fire smoke has them totally obscured today

There are parts of Houston I think are really beautiful (and many not so beautiful), but the best views around here IMO are in the hill country, particularly the part covered in vineyards and lavender or sunflower fields. Followed closely by the Big Bend area (desert/mountains), the green mountains around Fort Davis, and the undeveloped coastline of the North Padre Island National Seashore. I've got to hear what you think is really beautiful! After 23 years here, I still don't find much beautiful about Houston (and I LOVE living in Houston). The general view isn't much to write home about - unless you love concrete, freeways and skyscrapers. We have a few spots here and there that are nice, but the general view not so much. The drive up 290 towards Austin is beautiful, as is much of the Hill Country - especially during bluebonnet season! Oh, I'm probably just too easy to please. I love the view of downtown from midtown at night. Driving under the bridges over 59 through the midtown/Montrose area. Seeing how green the city is when you look at it from the tenth story of a building in the Galleria area. You're right; the general view is usually pretty ugly. There are just those few spots.

I live on a little piece of heaven outside of town. It's nothing special - some gardens, lots of trees, birds, squirrels and the occasional fox and deer - but I just love it here.

I live on the outskirts of the Peak District. The glorious views there are too numerous to mention. Oh not too far from me then - I'm on the other side of the Peak District, near Matlock (but in the valley). I do work in Sheffield though. So, I live in the Derwent Valley, which is actually a World Heritage Site. It's more rolling hills, lots of green fields and wooded hillsides, with red bricked mills and lots of stone cottages and little villages. I have a Pinterest board if anyone is interested of places around and about. I live in Ambergate (scroll down to Halfpenny Bridge). The one that says Cromford Canal - that photo is actually taken in the village across the road from where I live. Chatsworth House and Bakewell are both around 40 minutes drive away. Brassington Village is where MIL lives and where DH grew up, about 15 minutes from where we live now.

I live in Santa Fe, and I can see five different mountain ranges from my house. Sangre de Christos, Jemez, Sandia, Ortiz and Manzanos.

When the clouds aren't surrounding her, we have beautiful views of Mt. Rainier. I've seen it almost every day for 47 years and it never, ever gets old.

I work in Santa Barbara and take the 101 along the coast from Ventura, while there are many breath taking views, I always am amazed by the one when I come up over the hill and you can see the palm trees and the ocean and on a clear day the Channel Islands. Still leaves me in awe and I've been doing it every weekday for almost 17 yrs.

I live right in the middle of SC. It is not pretty here in my opinion. I miss the mountains of North GA. However, when I leave for work during a good portion of the school year I get to experience the sunrise. We have some beautiful sunrises here.
I have some pictures. I just do not know how to post picture though.
