As long as it's in the rear view mirror and I'm leaving it, then any of it. I so don't belong in this state.

This photo was taken not too far from where my kitty got lost. This is in Blue Mountain Lake, NY. LOVE! One of my favorite places on earth & very close to where I grew up! So sorry about your kitty, though...I didn't see that thread.

My favourite view in my home town is a piece of public art - huge horse head statues called The Kelpies - they are absolutely stunning. My favourite views in my general area are: Driving into Glasgow at dusk as seeing the university . Edinburgh skyline. Forth Bridge. I'm very lucky because all if these are within 30 minutes of my house. I also love Loch Katrine but it's a little further away (about 50 miles from me) Take a look at my blog to find out what I've been up to

I'm about as far west as you can get and still be in the Salt Lake Valley. From my front porch I can see the sunrise along the Wasatch Front. Out my back door I get the most beautiful sunsets out over the lake. We named the place "Eventide Cottage" because of it.

I'm in the Denver metro area, so I'm witness to CO's beauty all the time. But, one view that just wows me is from a very busy northbound roadway looking northwest coming off a hill. I drive this route every Monday evening after picking up my son from drama class. The mountains are in the background and a golf course sits just off the road. There are what seems like hundreds of trees on the golf course that completely block any development. All you see is low sun, beautiful multicolored clouds, mountains, trees and green grass. Since the sun is so low, there is an ethereal quality to the light... it looks like something out of fantasy novel. I have thought many times about where I could stop to capture the view, but I don't think it's possible without stopping in traffic and planting myself in the middle of the roadway. A good way to die perhaps, not take a photo. If I ever capture it, I'll share.

Some more photos of my beautiful state: This one is my profile pic, but now you can see it a little better. This is Whiteface Mountain in Wilmington, NY. I simply LOVE the Adirondacks in the Fall! My son and I simply went driving one day and got lost. Here are a couple of the mighty St. Lawrence River at sunset. I love the sunrises & sunsets in my hometown!

Again my original home area...I always said that the Aidrondacks make up the most beautiful, tranquil place on earth Been a while since I've trekked up to Whiteface--do they still do the long chairlift rides in the Fall ?

Petenthusiast, yes they do! I haven't ridden on it yet, but I plan to go this Fall. I love the Adk's! When I retire, I'm going to build a home somewhere high on a mountain top so I can see the mountain range every day.

Honestly? The road sign that says "NOW LEAVING ... ........" I have lived in beautiful places. This is not one of those places and I look forward to the day we leave it behind for one of those beautiful places.
I'm sure if I was more invested in this city I might find some beauty in it. But we've got a countdown clock running till DH retires from the military and we get to live where we choose to live. And I am ready.

The CN Tower. Being able to see it from 45 miles away. It always makes me smile.

I live on the northern edge of the Ozarks. Just a few minutes drive and we are in the hills.
Although, after my first trip to the mountains of Colorado, I have to say they are beautiful! I fell in love with the Rockies.

My state: the Grand Canyon!
My hometown city has some pretty amazing sunsets! Some people think the desert is ugly, but the sun setting behind the mountains is pretty neat to see.
