This is what I love about MI. I'm about an hour or so from South Haven, three from Pentwater/Ludington.

This is one of my favorite views--it's within walking distance of my home.

I live in Calgary so we are really close to the mountains ... it would take about a half hour drive from my house for me to see this:

I live in the Burlington area of Vermont. I am lucky enough to live in a place that has beauty all around us. My views can range from Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks, Camels hump and the Green Mountains, and lots of green grass and beautiful trees. The beauty also changes with the season...the rebirth of spring, the greens of summer, the vivid/vibrant colors of fall, and the serene picture softly falling snow. We also do not allow billboards in out state - so even our interstate has beautiful views.

I live in Albuquerque and there are two views that I love. The first is from the City's West Mesa area looking east. You can see the bright green strip running through town which is the Rio Grande River, the City and then the Sandia Mountains (which is part of the Rocky Mountains). At sunset, it's even prettier because those mountains are a very pretty pink color (see photo below -- not my photo by the way).
My second favorite would be from the top of the Sandia's. On a clear day, you can see forever in all directions. The city looks so small from up there.

I live 15 mins from NYC. Depending on which way you face my views are the skyline of Manhattan. Here's another favorite view: The one of Manhattan Island from the window of my flight into LGA, 'cause I'm coming home for a week to see my family.

I work in Santa Barbara and take the 101 along the coast from Ventura, while there are many breath taking views, I always am amazed by the one when I come up over the hill and you can see the palm trees and the ocean and on a clear day the Channel Islands. Still leaves me in awe and I've been doing it every weekday for almost 17 yrs. i just drove that 2 weeks ago -- so gorgeous. You are lucky!

I live on the outskirts of the Peak District. The glorious views there are too numerous to mention. Oh not too far from me then - I'm on the other side of the Peak District, near Matlock (but in the valley). I do work in Sheffield though. So, I live in the Derwent Valley, which is actually a World Heritage Site. It's more rolling hills, lots of green fields and wooded hillsides, with red bricked mills and lots of stone cottages and little villages. I have a Pinterest board if anyone is interested of places around and about. I live in Ambergate (scroll down to Halfpenny Bridge). The one that says Cromford Canal - that photo is actually taken in the village across the road from where I live. Chatsworth House and Bakewell are both around 40 minutes drive away. Brassington Village is where MIL lives and where DH grew up, about 15 minutes from where we live now. We are practically neighbours. I seem to think that gar lives in Sheffield too. I can feel a get together coming on!

before we moved near the photo above (Bull Run Mountain in NOVA), we lived here: Before we lived near that pretty mountain I showed above (Bull Run Mountain in NOVA), we lived here. We were the last brown apartment to the right on Roosevelt Island. This was from the tram I took each day, to and from work. LOVED the city views.

Niagara Falls, Queenston Heights, Niagara Gorge
From my window (high-rise) on a clear day, the Sky-dome and the CN Tower across Lake Ontario
Port Dalhousie with the carolsal & the boats, beach.
The fruit trees and vineyards, the smell is wonderful!

It sounds like I live the other end of the country from the rest of the UK Refupeas, but here are a couple of photos. I live on a small-ish island so I am never far from the coast. In the first picture you can see Portsmouth in the distance. It's a beautiful place to live and I love it.

We moved to Oregon nine years ago and I never get tired of seeing Mt. Hood in the distance on a sunny day. I was born and raised in NW Indiana and never had the opportunity to experience such a view.
My favorite view from back home, though, is the Chicago skyline from the beach of Lake Michigan at the Dunes State park.

I was considering moving to Oregon earlier this year if I didn't get the position I'm in now. My friend, from 2Peas actually, lives there. Now, I haven't seen her posting here yet, but you wouldn't happen to be her, would you? Are you Trina??? Anyway, I love seeing photos of Mt. Hood! So get busy and take some photos and post them! LOL!

This is a road near where I live. These trees form a beautiful canopy over the road for miles.

Nope, not Trina! I'm Michelle, sorry! I have tried to take pictures of Mt. Hood and am always disappointed in the result. It seems I can't capture the true beauty and get frustrated. I will not, however, give up!!

The mountains at sunset and sunrise The mountains with snow This is hard to explain, but I live in a dessert climate. Numerous trees in the valley are few and far between. I love seeing a cluster of trees along a canal bank. Love seeing the beauty that can come from this landscape.
Up in the canyons; the wonderful smell of pine trees. The quaking aspens (I hope I spelled that right).
The fields of crops.

If you drive east you have a view of the city overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, the island of Palm Beach then the Atlantic Ocean. Very nice.
If you drive west, miles and miles of sugar cane fields pocked with egrets, storks and alligators sunning on the banks of irrigation canals. It is very flat land.
The best view is from my family room. Lush tropical trees and plants. Colorful air plants, giant leaf philodendrons climbing up trees over 40 feet in the air, bromiliads(sp), and all kinds of birds including occasional wild parrots, squirrels, raccoons and some colorful and some creepy reptiles.

There is nothing more beautiful to me about this town than any part of it whatsoever viewed from the perspective of my rearview mirror I know I should work more on "blooming where you're planted," but despite living in a "quaint midwestern town," (I am from the NE)...I live for the hope of moving to New Hampshire someday & having no visible neighbors whatsoever.
