They would have to offer some kind of perks besides just use of the message board for me to pay.

I might have to start but I'm pretty sure the boards would have dried up and they knew it. I think a paid access to special areas might have been a better option.

I would have paid up to $5.00 a month if it included the boards, gallery and videos.

Yes I would have. I see some saying there are plenty of free message boards out there but I haven't found any very similar to 2peas.

No.
Even if I would have considered a small monthly fee, I wouldn't do it because I know so many others wouldn't and what would NSBR have been with a fraction of the members?

No, never. Not with the random control they used on the boards.

I also love Paperclipping Roundtable, but I don't have a membership. It's just not an expense I find necessary.

Maybe at first or if there was an added benefit to paying, but I agree that the dynamic of the group would have changed.

I'd have thought about it.
I don't think I would have ended up actually paying, though. I think the dynamics would change and it wouldn't have ended up staying the place we knew and loved.

I would not have paid for a subscription for a message board. However, if they had sold kit subscriptions I probably would have purchased...If everytime I got a 2peas sales add and the products werent sold out, I would have bought stuff. And if free or lower cost shipping was available I would have made purchases. I do buy scrap stuff online, but never had made an order at twopeas...why? Cause they never had stock and shipping was too high.

No. I'm a member of a site where to go pro you have to pay or contribute content, so I've contributed content, I wouldn't party just to use a site, I'd probably just join another board where I have the same general interests, I've been members of other boards before two peas.

I think if they would have made it a pay site, it would have lost too many members to make it worth my while. Part of the fun of two peas is that there are so many different people.

Probably not. I bought things from the store now and then. I would have spent a lot more if they had ever bothered to keep the new and interesting items in stock. I consider what I did spend there payment for the boards.

yes but probably not more than $5.00/month. I know there are tons of free sites out there but I liked the size and content of 2peas and I would have paid for that.

A paid site would reduce the chance to Peatlejuice someone!
It would change the board dynamic too much.

As a long time member, to keep from losing it: yes As a new person, unsure of what it was: probably not. I think it would have made them money up front, but not a regular, sustainable source of income. It would also have changed the dynamic of the board (which may have made it better, but it wouldn't have been the same) I agree

Probably not. As much as I enjoyed the site I would of looked elsewhere. I tried to purchase items and they were always out. Someone posted that the ladies who were "Garden Girls" were paid in product. That's why the store was empty.

I don't know. I have to say I like the ProBoards format a lot more - and it's free.

No. I am entirely too cheap and the Internet is full of entertaining sites.
I will admit I may have had to do some searching to find such an entertaining and diverse group, though. I consider the Peas highly entertaining. You never know what Easter Egg will be uncovered in a thread: the information, support, the way a thread can go south in two posts; it's often a fun surprise. That's what keeps me coming back day after day. The pod is like a box of chocolates...
