2016 is almost here (crazy, I know!)
Have you thought about what your word will be?
I have considered several (story, live) but have finally settled on work as my word.
What about you? Whats your word?

I have one. I don't use it for scrapbooking though. I guess it would work with that though. My word is finish. It helps me keep my house picked up and my errands on track. If I have something in my hands I don't set it down until it is exactly where it needs to go. I started this in about October and have decided to keep it through 2016.

This is my first year doing OLW. It's never really appealed to me, but for some reason, the last few months I've really been drawn to the word CHOOSE. Lately I've found myself in the habit of feeling out of control, and blaming other people/things for how I am feeling, so I just really need to remind myself to choose to be positive, choose to react to things differently, choose to change my way of thinking/thought patterns. I need to remind myself that I am the one that affects how I feel and think. I mean, choose can be used in almost every thing you do in a day... everything is a choice in some way, but my attitude/reactions are going to be my main focus. Can't wait to get started in Ali's workshop. I've already been trying to remind myself daily as things come up and have been seeing a slight difference in my overall attitude

I don't normally choose a word (the last time I did was 2009) but I've decided it's time so I'm going with Simplify. I want to simplify my home and my scrapping and my life so although I don't do Ali's class I'll still use the word to guide my decisions over the next 12 months.

I feel like I'm drawn to the word "peace." This year has been a really tough year for me - my brother passed away and my father-in-law is in a bad state right now. I desperately can use some peace in my life!

This is the first year I am taking Ali's class. My word is BALANCE. I need balance in my life (work, health, schedule, etc).

I'm taking the class but haven't decided on my word yet. Discipline was my word for 2015 and it definitely was at the forefront of my mind throughout the year.
I'm toying with the words Bold (in your decisions and your actions) and Faith (spiritual and in myself). I am leaning toward faith.

I haven't decided exactly which one but something related to writing/words and reading. I want to finish (and publish eventually) my NaNoWriMo novel, want to write ideas down before I forget (by carrying a notebook and pen with me everywhere) and my reading life this year was not so great due to finally letting DH put a TV in our bedroom (I read before bed ) and a string of books that could not keep my attention.
So words would cover all of those ideas, but the word WRITE sounds/looks better to me...
Last years word was ADVENTURE and it was fun, this year I want a word that is more...mental? maybe.

My word this year was COMLETE and I choose it because I'm really good at starting things, not so good at finishing them.
In 2016 I will be continuing that theme with FOCUS to keep the number of things that I start to a more manageable number so that I may actually complete them. FOCUS will also force me to prioritize and work on the meaningful.

I never used to understand when people would say their word picked them, but that's what happened to me this year. I've had a really rough year and am struggling on so many levels right now. The word that keeps presenting itself to me is "forward".
At first, I rejected it - it didn't appeal to me AT ALL. (I'm more of the wallow-in-the-past, pessimist type.) But the word wouldn't go away and I started to think about what it could mean: looking forward, moving forward, paying it forward, etc. I've decided to go for it.
So my word for 2016 is FORWARD.

My word for 2016 is joy. After a couple of hard years everything is finally settling down and going well. So I am ready to focus on and find joy in the little everyday moments.

Whats your word? mom i resisted opening this thread for a few days because i didn't want anyone else's word to influence what needs to be my word (if that makes any sense at all) so it is funny to me that your word is one of my top two contenders. in fact, for the longest time, i was sure the word was 'work' (right from the time that my #gettoworkbook arrived…i am anxious for 01 january just for my gtwb!) but now i am struggling to decide between 'work' and 'time' because 'time' has really been vying for my attention lately. just not sure.

Thats hilarious! Work has been on my mind for awhile, but literally as soon as I created this post, another word has been occupying my mind! LOL I don't think I will post the other word just yet - I am going to let it marinate for a bit longer.

My word this year was faith. It was a reminder for me to have faith in myself, others and for tomorrow that things will be ok.
For 2016 I am going to choose change. I have some big life changing things coming in 2016 and will be at a crossroads so to speak.

My word this year is KINDNESS. I am typically kind to others, but not so much to myself, so this year I want to focus on being kinder to myself especially.

My word this year is focus. I have two areas i want to work on this year and i hope this word will help. This will be my third year doing OLW. I've been happy with how my previous words; persevere and breathe; have worked.
