Good evening Peas! Boy you guys have the gallery in fire!!!! It is so nice to see how much a handful of Scrappers can accomplish! I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with my cameo. It was not cutting correctly and chewed up paper. But I was able to figure out the problem and have it back to cutting like it should. So maybe I can get some more things done! Nylene- Lori Whitlock's site has SVG files. They are under the SVG Shop and here is a link: SVG ShopThey have a lot of files and she also has freebies on that site. But there are lots of svg files. Including the box I just made. I hope you are taking photos of the Wood Shop going up so you can scrap it when it is done and ready to be used, Waving a big hi to everyone, and thanks so much for keeping me on your mind while I have been dealing with health issues.

I finished one page this morning, for the April Stash challenge. Used almost everything on the list, except for embossing. I DO emboss fairly often, but didn't see how I could have fit it in here.
Because the letters were all mixed up on a page in the paper pad, I had to fussy cut them out. That's another old technique revived along with the brads & grommet.
justjac , after I photographed and posted this, I remembered the football brads you gave me for my bd, so I added some across the middle. Guess you will have to see them IRL...

Last page of today. Accountant appointment tomorrow, so I have to finalize my summary and put all the relevant papers in an envelope to go with dh when he goes in the morning. Hi everyone! Not much going on here today-was de-cluttering my scrap room AKA dumping grounds! I hope to go in and scrap later this evening but have to watch the results show for the Voice which is the pone and only show I watch on regular TV. But at least now I can see the top of my desk and computer desk!
Maribeth-Have fun on your little get-away! I know you will have fun.
Grammadee you are rocking the challenges this month! Both you and Nylene have great pages in the stash challenge!
Nylene -you have layouts popping up all the time! You are keeping me busy in the gallery! Love it though!
Ok waving HI to one and all and BBL!

Hi my favorite Pokey Peas! It is so great to come find the thread humming and the layouts filling the gallery. I'm proud of all the crafty things you are doing and sharing. I think I have caught up with each of you. LisaDV, I really enjoyed reading you blog. I have bookmarked it so I can take a peek often. I love seeing how others attack this hobby. maribeth, hope you have a wonderful weekend away. You need a distraction! How's the organizing going? I've been working on mine, but sometimes I just get overwhelmed. grammadee, you have been doing some fun layouts. We don't want you to lose your Calvinball momentum! kellyr21, how are the cards going. It looks like you have had some chilly days lately. I noticed your temp was the same as ours a couple of days. We are expecting big storms tonight and over the weekend, but just rain. scrapincin, it's great to see you feeling up to posting and joining in. Are you still hurting, or has that begun to subside with the drying of the lesions? You are still in my prayers for a full recovery. I have about 3 more pages to post. They are super simple ones that took hardly any time at all. I need to do more of those and get caught up a bit. Thanks for the link to Lori's site. I found the file, but before I order it, can you give me the dimensions across the front and the depth. I think our card club might want to make some when it's my turn to teach. I hope the rest of you Pokeys are doing well and that Spring is trying come to your area. Check in when you get a minute. Take care and have a great weekend if I don't get back until Monday. I have a busy few days ahead and may not get back to the thread.

Hi all, I was just in the gallery and it looks like the Pokey's are dominating the first few rows of it. There's nothing pokey about us this month! grammadee, I've left you love in the gallery on your awesome pages. maribeth, have a great time on your camping trip. scrapincin, glad you're feeling up to crafting (sorry about the cleaning though, one of those necessary evils in my mind.) Can't wait to see what you create! nylene, thanks for visiting my blog and for commenting. Enjoy your weekend. Here it seems spring wants to shine through. We're around 60 today. I'm on my 3rd day of using the treadmill and feeling good for doing so. And I just realized I didn't take the duck out of the freezer and now have to come up with a different meal plan for tomorrow evening. (Don is only home tomorrow through Saturday afternoon this week, so I'd like something special. I'll be glad when the insurance renewal is complete, and he is only gone 2 days out of the week instead of 5). Just read through the previous and yeah, that's how my mind works (or doesn't work, as the case may be). One random thing after another. (Squirrel! - for those that enjoyed the UP movie).

I spent the day doing housework. Dd & the little guy will be here for the night. They will be taking Sheeva (their dog, who has been with us since before Easter because of their travel and work commitments) home tomorrow.
The only crafting I did was to use my Cricut to cut out some paper dolls for a couple of pages I will be doing at the crop next weekend. I have slowly been accumulating supplies and ideas I want to work on there. Have decided to work on Mikey's album. For the babies, I have created an album for each with monthly/seasonal themes and places for the moms to slot in photos. For Mikey, dd & I decided that I would make the album myself, and then give it to them complete. Of course, I thought I would just keep it up every month. Ummm No... I have the first couple of pages in it, then nothing. So that is my project for next weekend. Have lots of photos, and for ones I want to duplicate from the pages I have done about him in my grandkids albums, I can run to WM and get reprints.
Thanks for the love in the Gallery, Ladies. Good to see some of your creations there, too.

Great page, nylene! Left some love in the Gallery. I wish I had taken a video--or at least a few photos--when boy reunited with dog! I let Sheeva out when they had parked and she barreled out to the vehicle, jumping up as dd unbuckled him from his car seat. Then she escorted him into the house and they proceeded to run around in circles in the living room. She never jumps up on people, but she was jumping up on him, and they were both delighted! Dd & dgs are staying over and will be here most of the day tomorrow. She brought his bike, so should be spending some time outside tomorrow. Hope she brought his boots, because there is still a lot of mud around here!

I have been a little busy since being on vacation from work. I have to return tomorrow which makes me sad. But I get another vacation very soon!! I did go for a 3 day crop with a girlfriend. It was much needed and we enjoyed ourselves. I did get a few things done that I am going to post. I have been feeling a little under the weather since Monday with a minor sinus infection. I am feeling better now and can breathe better. I think a lot of it has to do with my allergies that took a wrong direction! DH and I have been trying to purge some of my old items that I don't use anymore. My parents are having a garage sale in a week and they came over and collected some stuff to put in the sale. I hope that I am able to go through more to put in the sale. I do have a crazy work schedule till then so I am not sure how much I will get done. I go to water aerobics on my days off and have gotten to know quite a few ladies from the class. A few of them got together and we had brunch to celebrate DH and I wedding. They labeled it a 4 month anniversary wedding party. It was a fun time! Here are the items I got completed at my crop: Cherry Blossom festival by Jana, on Flickr Happy Birthday! by Jana, on Flickr Rainy dog swim by Jana, on Flickr

knutschen, those are FABULOUS layouts. I love the curves in the first one. So cool. So glad you had a chance to get away and have fun with other croppers. Sounds like your aerobics friends helped celebrate 4 months of marriage with you. Hope you start feeling better soon. I hate sinus infections. When I went to get another box of Claritan D the pharmacist said that this has been the worst year yet for allergies and that it's just beginning. Yuck! I think I am caught up with each of your new projects. I love seeing us flood the gallery. LOL!

scrapincin , love that sporty page, even though the elephant does look kinda scary!
Happy weekend, everyone!
Dd, son, and dog left late this afternoon. Just dh & me left out here on the farm this weekend. I know he picked up dinner theatre tickets for Saturday evening, but otherwise, not a lot planned.
Not sure what I will be doing, craftwise. Have a week until the crop starts. So far, to get ready, I have a box of photos, a couple of piles of supplies, and some lists. Love crops. Hate the packing, loading, and unpacking involved.
Was thinking of maybe joining in the LOAD May challenge. Sounds like it is a prompt a day. I did one of those at BPS a few years ago and really enjoyed it: no pressure, just react to the prompt and put something together. I love the mini album I created with that. I did another one when I was providing prompts for the season of SPRING To some MB members another year. Doing these activities provides a whole different way to think about our craft. I felt freed of obligations to tell a particular story or use a particular series of photos. The prompts let me just relax and PLAY with the products on hand.
May is a pretty busy month for us with the garden, so not sure if I will actually sign up, but I am thinking about it!

scrapincin , love the layout! The truck is gorgeous!! grammadee , it looks like we might do something to encourage each other here instead of paying for LOAD. I'd much prefer that method. I really don't like prompts for scrapbooking. I like to scrap what I feel like. Probably why I love stash challenges and sketch/lifts instead. It's Saturday evening here. It's been gorgeous here in the upper mitten part of Michigan for the last 2 days (66 then 77). The kids have been outside playing in the water. Something that growing up in so. IL, I would have not considered fathomable. You played in the water and swam when it was above 80 & since it was usually 90 or 100, no problem. I guess I'm getting use to the cold. I, on the other hand, planted 7 fruit trees today. Don planted 4 yesterday. There were peach, plum, cherry, pear, and apple. I still have 1 almond and 2 pecans to plant. And they still haven't shipped the rest of our nut trees we order (it was a deal of 10 different nut trees) but they ship when it's optimum planting time for your region. I just wish they would have included packing slip. We still have asparagus and my daughters strawberry tiered container garden to set up as well. Guess what I'll be doing this week?! Don will only be home Thursday afternoon and Friday, but the fence guys are coming to put in the fence then. So then we'll prep the garden. I tried gardening here before and the deer ate EVERYTHING! The fence will be have a chicken coop spot, 1 garden plot, 1 animal plot and 1 plot that will be either animal or garden. Getting so excited!!! Since Don's left today for his next trip, I'm also hoping to scrap tomorrow. I get so much more crafting time when he's gone. So, hope to be back with a layout to share tomorrow! Hope everyone's having a great Saturday.

Left love for all the awesome pages for LisaDV , scrapincin , nylene and knutschen LisaDV - WOW sounds like you are burning the candles at both ends. You are one busy lady right now. I admire your energy level grammadee - Losing items is one reason I have taken on the task of really getting my room organized, so I really do have a place for everything to live. Even if I do create a space for those "special" items. I promised myself I would work on organization only - no projects in April in the hopes I can get this project done. It was hard yesterday to stay true to that as I really wanted to start working on some pages. I will be sharing some of my organization ideas soon. I did get all my stamps organized (cataloged) on the camping trip so know I know what I have and what they look like when I stamp them. I don't have a lot of stamps so I am happy that I have completed those and will now only need to add new stamps to the catalog as I get them. See you all later.

Welcome, tomocus, to Pokey Peas. Thank you for your kind words about my layout. Of course you can scraplift. I would love to see what you do with it. We are always happy to see new Pokeys popping on the thread. We would love to know all about you. LisaDV, can I tell you how tired I became just reading all the planting and working you are doing. It's a good thing you are young. This old body can't begin to keep up with all that! maribeth, I am so proud of your organizing! I really want to catalog my stamps. I have a lot that I have inherited and I may not even way to keep. I thought I'd purge and take them to card club for some of the members to look through. But first I need to know what is there. One of these days I will spend the whole day on it. grammadee, I was reading in one of the other forums about having a LOAD challenge (or something similar) here that wouldn't cost anything. I think it sounds like fun. I know I couldn't scrap about me though because I have hardly any photos. The concept sounds good and I'm sure we could come up with something that would meet most people's needs. Cindy, I love that truck layout. I don't think I said a word in my comments about the truck, but it looks really nice. That big elephant really explains what a fan he is. It's a cute layout. I have a couple of super simple layouts to post and am working on another. It has seemed so nice to have time and feel well enough to scrap! The Woodshop is coming along. The power is now installed. It still needs insulation, sheet rock, doors and gas to heat it. It is going to be so great. I need to get some things done, so I'll come back later to chat.

Happy Monday! Boy our little pokey peas are jumpin'! I gotta get caught up on all your lovely creations. We has a nice weekend. We went to Seal Beach which isn't too far and had a great time. This is a wonderful place and easy to get around. Some beach areas have limited parking and you have to lug your stuff a ways before you get to the sand. But this beach you can park right in front and there are lots of cute shops around too. It was so sunny and a little windy just the perfect weather for a beach day. I hope to go again this Spring. Finally got all the supplies for my Mother's Day cards. So today I hope to jump in and finish the ones I started. Trying to figure of the sentiment and where to put it. hummmmmm? Jana- Oh you did have a good time scrappin. I especially liked that card. So pretty! I am glad you had an anniversary party with the girls. If we all lived near you we would of given you one too. Lisa- Gardening is something I look forward to doing. So in my imagination, lol, I would go to Cindy's and plant with her then I would come to your house and help put in a few flowers and the trees. You place is gonna look so pretty when it all starts to bloom. Cindy- You are back at it. So cool to see. Hope you are feeling much better too. Nylene- Can your dgc get any cuter and sweeter? Just adorable! I have doing a little more family research and found some interesting articles on my great uncle who was a track and field star. Today, I even found the marriage license of my grandparents. I had never seen it before and it was sweet to see. Are you still doing research too? Waving hi to all of you and hope you have a nice day!

Happy Monday evening! Glad your camping trip was good, maribeth . nylene I am looking forward to seeing your creations. kellyr21 I'm glad you have the supplies you need for your mothers day cards. Looking forward to seeing those too. LisaDV we are not quite at that stage here yet for our yard, but yesterday dh pulled a harrow over the grass to loosen up any snow mold and old grass and leaves caught in the dead grass. Soon... I had to take a break from my scraproom to take care of other business today. Had to empty and defrost the freezer for the beef that had been butchered, cut, wrapped and frozen at the packers. Dh's nephew went with him to pick up the meat and then came to carry it down to the basement. Dh offered to help me reload the freezer, but I really need time to think as I rearrange everything, so I turned him down. By the time I had put in the new meat, then put the older items on top of it until the freezer was full, I was wishing I had accepted the offer! This will probably gross you out, but in honor of the tradition we used to have when I was a kid on the farm, I cooked liver for supper. We always had liver on butchering days when I was growing up. Both dh & I love liver, so this will be a treat--whether you believe it or not!
