Sounds like a SUPER busy day, nylene ! Hope the sheetrock is undamaged. And sending positive vibes to your grandson for his surgery. Glad to see another page. Will head to the Gallery soon to look at it more closely. We woke up to snow on the ground this morning, but it turned to rain and the wet stuff came down most of the day. Had an appointment with the accountant this morning. Taxes are due in Canada on April 30th. Fortunately we will each get a small refund, so all is well. Nothing done craftwise today, except to do a little thinking about what I will be doing over the next month. Over the weekend I picked up a Simple Stories Sn@p binder and some inserts to help me get ready for LOAD. I am thinking the smaller format will be easier to work with the daily prompts. I got some page protectors, too, so I can use my regular scrap stash cut to size to create my pages. One of the things I would like to do is apply to my LOAD album some of the techniques I hope to learn at the Dyan Reavely class that justjac and I will be attending on Saturday. Also saw some cool mixed media tricks at the crop last weekend, and I would like to play with those as well in May. With LOAD, NSD challenges all over the web, and our own 2peas TYS month long activity, I should have lots of inspiration. Anyway, Monday is gone. Tuesday I need to unload my crop stuff from the vehicle. Wednesday I have an eye appointment. Nothing on Thursday except pancake supper and card playing at the Seniors' centre in the evening. Then Friday it is off to the city for our art journaling class. Have a great week, Ladies!

Hauled all my scrappy stuff in from my vehicle and put away my tools and most everything else, except for the papers, which I am leaving for tomorrow morning. Went through the album I had taken to store completed pages in, and made notes of which pages still needed some photos &/or other elements. I can get some photos printed tomorrow. Then I photographed and posted a few pages from the weekend crop. Here they are: view from the play park by Gramma Dee, on Flickr cruisin, with cousins by Gramma Dee, on Flickr meeting jack by Gramma Dee, on Flickr he's gone country by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I think this is a first! We are on page 5. I love seeing so many projects shared. We haven't been very Pokey this month. I hope the mojo continues. If I finish 4 a month I am feeling productive, but I have really had the desire to scrap this month. Looks like many of the rest of you have also. grammadee , it sounds like you have a lot going. Your class sounds like fun and I want to see some of your mixed media projects. I'm too nervous to use that media in my scraproom. I know I would make a mess! I love all your layouts and left you some love in the gallery. I want to see the others as your finish them. I hope all you other Pokeys are keeping busy. We have rainy days and more to come, but it's not the snow that was predicted. Have a great week, everyone.

I can't believe we are on page 5! Wow that is something! We are a great group though! I am loving everyone's creativity and of course the chatter. I did not get anything scraped last night but I was playing. I got one of those sets of layering stamps and had to try it out. I got the peony and I love it! You will see it soon on a card or layout! So fun to play with! Also getting an order of paper and some of those crystal drops that make your own drops etc. Can you believe when I placed my order I realized I had not ordered anything for 3 years. Well I have ordered some digi kits but not traditional products! So what pages I have scrapped has been from my stash!
Grammadee it is so good to see you back and I left you love in the gallery. I added some of the pages to my favs and hope to lift a couple of them. Looks like you got a lot accomplished at your crop.
Nylene-sorry to hear about Alex' surgery but oh what a relief when the sleep apnea goes away. I totally get it as Becky's tonsils were just about kissing when I finally took her to an ent since the family doctor kept just putting her on antibiotics. She was a lot healthier after that. I can't wait to see the pics of Steve's shop! I know he has to be so excited!
Maribeth how is it going? I don't know how you keep up with all you do! Can't wait to see the photos of your studio!
Kellly- My memorabilia of the Browns is minimal. I do have some signed photos of some of my favorite players but most were from the 80's-like Bernie Kosar and Ice cube Gerald McNeil, team posters and some other things!
Waving hi to everyone! BBL!

Wow, 5 pages!!! Look at us! Not very Pokey this month. Hope you all are doing well today. Not much artsy going on today but maybe later. Cindy- Your new stamp sets sounds fun and glad you are enjoying playing with it. So you do have a small Brown's collection. That is cool! The draft is this week. Our new L.A. Rams got the first pick. I heard they are going for a quarterback but I never heard of either guy. Nylene- Hope that weather warms up soon. Nylene, I hope you try mixed media and mess. Mess is good! LOL! I would like to take a class too so I can see ways to add medium to my layouts. Haven't quiet played around with that enough. Grammadee- You have really been having fun. I gotta go over to the gallery and see your work. Your mixed media should be great too.

Kelly, your painting is wonderful. I love the way the wind is blowing. Love the flowers and the butterflies. Actually I love everything about it. I think you should post it here in the gallery for others to enjoy too. You are one talented lady!
Cindy, one badge was my #13 year Pea badge and the other was a Pokey Pea that you created...or maybe there were 2 of them. Looks like everyone with a photobucket image in their signature now has a blank box.

Hellooooooo Pokeys Sorry I have not been around much lately.....busy busy busy. Spent all day Saturday in Albuquerque, watching the granddaughters last soccer games for the season, gong to Costco and Walmart, and we even had a little lunch at Chili's which is a treat for us because of our healthy eating plan hubby does not let us go out very often. Sunday I spend all day working in the yard (which is not my thing, I am an indoor girl), but really want to get the yard in order. Although hubby takes care of the yard very well, it is maintenance, he does not have much design sense. So I was putting in flower beds, arranging yard art and patio furniture etc. We have neglected our yard (other than maintenance) for too many years and we both really want to get it looking nice this year. Still working on my organization, and I am happy with where I am and I am ready to start scrapping for all the various May events. I still have some things to complete, but I am forced to wait for some storage items I have ordered or wait until I get full pages to print labels/tags etc. I have shared one area below and hope to share another area tomorrow and so on..... Wow 5 pages, and so much scrappy/art you all have posted. Will be leaving love for all the recent additions today during my down time a work. I am so jealous that I did not get to complete any projects in April (but I will make up for it in May) Madi & Me - your art is absolutely wonderful. I could feel the breeze and smell the fresh grass. I wish I had your talent, I can not paint a stroke. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely piece with all of us. grammadee - loving all your work. Sure sounds like you are going to have a busy May will hosting the event here, participating in Load (are you going to share your Load projects here? I would love to see them), and the various other NSD events from other sights. Be sure not to wear yourself out. It has sure been a pleasure getting to know you, I am so glad you joined the Pokey Thread. nylene - You have been a scrappy fool this month. Great! I am sure regaining your health has been a huge part of that enthusiasm. You had been under the weather for so long, once you felt better, I am sure your creativity was just bursting to get out and play. ditto to you scrapincin . I am so glad both of you ladies are feeling better and lets hope the remainder of 2016 continues with no further health setbacks for any of us. LisaDV - thought of you last night while walking my hour. Boy, my legs are sure sore from my yard work on Sunday. Used muscles doing that I don't normally use. I was really wanting to cut it short, but your words were ringing in my ears, and I kept going and hit my hour. It was worth it. Thank you for continuing to motivate me. Here is my first organized area. This area is on the wall as the door opens to my room. In it you can see a step stool (When the door is open it opens up in front of this stool) and behind it you can see a board with magnets on it. On the wall you can see to additional white boards (also for magnets) These have to be organized and will be an ongoing process as I will have to go back to my scrapbooks to get dates on when I visited those places. My plan it make a little banner piece with the location (if not noted on the magnet) and date of visit, and then I will place them in chronological order on the white boards (I will need to purchase more two will not be enough). Next you see two show cubbies (which I do not understand whose shoes will fit in there, not mine or hubby's that's for sure and I only where a size 5?) I purchased some boxes from Uline which are 4x4x10. I applied yellow paper to the front and used a die set to cut the scalloped lables. (more on the contents in the following photo). On top I have my Stampin Up products (except for paper) and my Thickers. Next to that are two Jet Max cubes. Border punches, Martha Stewart punches and Creative Memories punches are in the one with the three drawers. I will move my Creative Memories punches to a Creative Memories tool storage tote after I purchase it. Since I occasionally attend Creative Memories events and they like you to use only their product at those events I like to house those item in something toteable so it is easy to pack for these events. The cube with the four drawers is currently empty. You can see behind my Heidi Swapp Marquee M some hat boxes, those hold my ribbon, and in the pink case next that is my Bow it all (which I desperately need to learn how to use, I can't tie a bow to save my life, and I have watched video after video after video - LOL) Contents in the cupboard above the M will be shown in my next post. IMG_1470 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr So in the following photo I pulled out three drawers/boxes to show you how I am storing my items within them. I have all the Stampin Up Ink collections in their own drawer/box, I have a labeled dauber for each color and I put those in empty Avon face moisturizer boxes (not shown). I also have my Tim Holtz distress inks, same containment on daubers here as well (accept that I am waiting for my next empty box). For the drawer I am showing, it contains the 2015 ink colors and I cut and laminated the individual colors from the poster they released and put it on a Acco binder ring. I also have all my stamped colors in a catalog, similar to the Totally Tiffany style of organizing. I am keeping my mists here as well, and the third drawer shows another Acco ring with little tags I sprayed. These drawer contain my enamel dots, pearls, other bling, stamps (other than my Stampin Up ones) I have been using this system for over a year and it works really great. I was never organized, and labeled so I hid the ugliness under a large yellow bath towel, but now I can feel good about my storage solution. IMG_1472 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr Oh yea, and that red and white gift bag you see, that has more magnets (but not travel magnets) Just living there right now until I decide what I am going to do with those. Okay so did I put everyone to sleep? Sorry. Have a wonderful day.

Hi, everyone! scrapincin , I wonder if we just need to host our badges at another site. Seems like a photobucket problem. Maybe we can talk you into making us another Pokey button. kellyr21, I wish you lived closer. I have a DGD who loves to draw and has done some beautiful faces. I would hire you to work with her. I know she would love what you are doing. I am hoping my art-teacher-friend has classes for older students. She's 14. maribeth , your room makes me want to come play with you. My room is not inviting...it's just cluttered. But you know what happens when I spiff it up...I have to scrap, scrap, scrap and then it looks bad again! I love your bright yellow color. When we built our home in 1972, I told DH I had to have a yellow kitchen. If it was not bright and colorful I would hate to cook even more than I already do. So, I had the brightest yellow kitchen. When we remodeled my kids made me change it, but I have really missed the sunshine. I am making a box of cards for the teachers in my pod. Last year they all had gifts for me at the end of the year, and I did nothing. It was my first year volunteering and I didn't know they did that. So I'm trying to be more aware this year! I went out shopping today for little gifts for my students. (again, didn't know I could do that last year) So that much is done for May. May seems to be so busy with concerts/graduations/art shows that I hope I will be able to do a lot of scrapping with the gang here. Have a great day! or as maribeth would say, Make it a great day!!

Thanks everyone! I just love this painting and hope it gave you all a little joy and rest. Those trees were so fun making once I figure out I had a special brush that made it easy to create that look. Now I want to do more landscapes with trees. Today, I am working on more cards and starting another canvas.
Maribeth- Wow, your room is so nice and neat. I think we should have a virtual scrap party there. LOL! I like your yellow walls too. Thanks for sharing with us.
Nylene- If we did live near each other, we would be having craft parties! LOL! I know your dgd got your genes so she may be teaching me some art soon. I know those teachers are gonna love whatever cards you make for them. Girl, you are gonna be busy. But at least it is fun stuff. Here is the link to my art in Flickr.

Day 2 of my scraproom share IMG_1474 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr IMG_1475 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr IMG_1476 by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr So I don't scrap at my desk, I have a standing table area that will be shown on a future post. The cupboard to the right of my desk (as you look at the photo) contains all the little plastic boxes that I lined with yellow paper and created tags. Most of the drawers contain the those items that I use for all of my ongoing projects (courthouses, abandoned buildings, abandoned cars, churches, schools, trains and depots, NRHP, etc..) they also hold some of those really tiny embellishments, as well as my homemade flair. The cabinet to the left (as you can see is a jumble of electronics and wires), above that I keep some mailing supplies and some paper trays. The binders are temporary, I am waiting to get some yellow binders - those house my cataloging system based on the Totally Tiffany concept. Under my desk I have my computer(s), some additional paper storage, my printer and my shot box (which is behind the basket with the flower faces. In that basket I have my rulers and my paper edgers. Most important of all in the photos above is Desmonds box to the right of my monitor! Hope everyone is enjoying the week. I am so looking forward to the scrapping events beginning on Sunday. I will be working in the yard on Saturday (weather permitting), but Sunday will be mine to scrap. See you later!

Today is what I call a "ketchup day". Monday we saw the accountant. Tuesday I moved all my scrappy supplies from the vehicle into the scraproom and unpacked most of them. Wednesday I had an optometrist's appointment. Tomorrow I will be leaving for the art journaling class in Edmonton. Today, nothing planned except for a pancake supper and card playing at the Seniors' this evening. So I need to catch up on laundry and cleaning the kitchen, etc. If I have time, I may put together a page or two for Mikey's album. Loving the tour of your scraproom, maribeth . You are so super organized, yet the stuffies along the top really give it a homey feel. nylene it is so nice of you to be making cards for the teachers and finding little gifts for your students. Looking forward to seeing the new badge, scrapincin . I had never used badges at all until Calvinball.

Wow! Lots of goodies to view today!!! I've left love on all of your pages. kellyr21, that painting is A-Mazing! I actually exclaimed "wow" out loud when I went to your blog! maribeth, you are so organized. You're going to crank out the creativity come May. ...When I shared how you were motivating me to walk, I didn't mean to make you do it when you were sore from yard work. Yesterday, we went to Sleeping Bear Dunes and hiked around. It was a fun adventure day. Today, I made duck for lunch and thought of you all and our organ meat conversation. My dad always called the poultry organ meat, "chef's delight". As it was the person who cooked that got the tasties. Well, back then, I didn't find them tasty. Today, as I was prepping, I was excited that dd was still asleep and ds was off doing his own thing, so I could hoard them for myself instead of sharing them. I felt like the comic mom's who hide the good chocolate from the kids. ha.

Good Friday morning! This morning I have lots to do, but somehow can't get my butt out of my chair by the computer! This afternoon, justjac and I are heading into Edmonton. This evening, we will be meeting Dyan Reavley--the lady from Ranger's "Dylusions" paints and stamps and sprays. Tonight is a meet & greet, so hope to get a photo with her and an autograph. Staying at dd's tonight, and then all day Saturday we will be at Dyan's classes. Will get to meet another pea, melanieg who will be taking one of the two classes as well. Loving the idea of having fun with friends and getting VERY messy! I am going to add a challenge to the 2Peas May Tell Your Story challenge thread about Scrapping about Scrapping, just to give us an excuse to snap some photos and put at least a couple of pages together about this weekend. I am super excited!

Just a moment to check in. Things are busy here. Our grandson (3) did very well having his tonsils and adenoids out. We stopped to see him last night and he was hurting but still wanted to play with his cars! maribeth, I am loving your pictures of your scrap space. It looks like it would be so fun to play in that room! grammadee, have a great time in your classes and travel safely. Love your layouts and left notes in the gallery. scrapincin, thanks for checking on the badges. Are the kids getting anxious for school to end? Our last day is the 27th of May. kellyr21, I showed my DGD your artwork and she swooned. It just reminds me of what she is trying to do. I may have her contact you through your blog for some ideas on what she should try first. LisaDV, hope you and DD have a great time minus the men this weekend! Gotta run. Still have laundry, shopping and some cleaning left as well as putting the finishing touches on my lesson for church tomorrow. Have a great weekend.

Hi all. grammadee, that sounds like a fabulous time! I'm sure you had a blast. maribeth, hope you feel better. Love the tags on your bins, I so need to do that to mine. nylene, DD & I had a great guy free weekend last weekend and even did some art journaling. (I think I talked about it in my longer post that didn't post.) I received my digital scrapbook pages from 2010 until present that I finally printed out and sorted through them and the traditional pages to makes piles for each album family. I'm going to go through each album set and see if any theme should be broken out into separate albums. (Like I have several school themed layouts that I just put in part of everyday life but could go into their own school album.) It was fun project to start. Otherwise, I'm burnt out from having to be a "mom" and do all this cooking and cleaning up. I feel like I'm about to get really grouchy and I really, really don't want to. Do/Did any of you ever feel this way? or is it just me? @

Wow I finally made it over here! I have been so busy the past couple of days. I am chilling today though since my body is telling me I am totally exhausted! Friday wa Arbor Day and Maggie was being presented at the city arboretum since she was one of 5 winners in a project they did with the 6th grade honoring trees and what they add to our lives. Of course there is going to be a page. Then yesterday I made a dinner and cake for y neighbor-yes the Browns lady had a birthday. Her name is Barb! She goes by Aunt B so her cake was chocolate, with Cleveland Browns orange with little sugar bees scattered around her cake. We dubbed her Queen Bee!
So I am going to work on the badge as that is not to strenuous! LOL Then I have a lot of things I need to scrap! I love your room Maribeth and Grammadee your pages were awesome! Good to see you Lisa! sounds like you must be having a good time with those albums!
OK BBL
