Hi all!!!
Nylene--- Please know that it is not the svg file alone giving me fits.. it's my stacks to dos, my stacks of needs put away, my stacks of someone else needs to put it away NOW! I will have that file ready this weekend... Having 2 kids moving off to college this month, I have boxes every where! So sorry to hear about your DH's eye..that is very scary. I hope that surgery fixes him right up. Love your ice cream LO.
DaniB --- love your LOs. I especially love the small squares, rectangles.. that is a very cute concept that I would love to try.
sbartist --- love your Easter '93 LO. I also have a daughter born in '93. She'll be 21 in a few months! I have her books all done up to her freshman year of college.. my goal is to finish that and her sophomore year next week. She wants them in pocket pages so she can do her own journaling... which is probably a good thing..what I think may have been the event of said photo may not have been that event at all. I finished all the kids' Halloween pages recently... so no more for my kids..until college..they dress up in college.. so I have 3 years to do now..
LocoCoco --- Yes, more scrapping is on the horizon!!! I'm looking forward to it.. I love both of your LOs... I don't know what if anything needs added to your Mom LO it looks great!! Love the colors of the family LO.
Scrapincin --- waving hi!
amycmom23 --- love all 3 LOs.
I hope I haven't missed anyone.if so, I am truly sorry... I have been plugging away on scrapbooking.. I have not taken any photos of my LOs though..maybe this weekend.. I did finish my Christmas tree album so it is current, DS13's 4-H scrapbook will be current tomorrow; our family Christmas album will be current as of Friday... and my 2014 PL family album will be current w/ journaling as of tomorrow night!!! Then my weekend project is to bring current DD's college life book to take to her when we move DS18 to campus (they will attend the same school).
Have a great night!

Dani, did you figure out how to size a layout? You can post it,then go to EDIT (upper right of your post) and then down in left corner PREVIEW, you can grab a corner and make it larger or smaller. Hope that helps. Then you don't have to guess on a size in photobucket or wherever you are posting it. Just size it in the post. I have finished another layout. I'm loving scrapping these Disney photos. I hope I never run out...but know I will. Thanks for welcoming me here again, Nylene! You are super! Like you I also hate when I lost my posts... I know its being though for your husband not to see and be so dependent in other people. I am sure you are doing your best for him to feel confy. I also hope the surgery goes well and he can see well again soon. About resizing the pic, I just tried. But was unsuccessful. I posted using the link (post direct from photobucket), and inserted here using "insert a pic" icon. So, when I go and click edie, I try to get the picture corner but its non-existing. Any tips? LOL Disney pics must be really fun to use! I have not tried them yet. But like always, I love your LO, Nylene.

Dani - The restriction on your travel tied to your license plate number is really interesting...is it to cut down on traffic or pollution? I've made some LO's and projects that I ended up hating...but I always take the approach that it's done, I'm not changing it...and I move on. If there were photos on it that I especially love, I will print another copy and make another LO of it if I feel inspired. I think for me, it's better not to "grade" my work, the other funny thing about it is that someone else may love that LO when they look at your album...I've had that happen too. I really like your LO with the grid design and the tons of embellies, I think it is pulled together beautifully and your little guy is super cute! Have a wonderful day ladies! Tina Hi Tina, the restriction here in Sao Paulo its to cut traffic. Sao paulo is a HUGE city and sometimes we have gridlock, and the whole town get stuck. So the city have this rules. It helps, not to the point of no traffic jam, but helps. The problem with the LO I hated is that its an old pic, and I don't have a copy from it, so I just took it off the LO and I will redo it. But my guess is that the problem was with the paper choice. When I bought it it was on sale and I was not very enthusiastic about it. But since the price was right I took it. My mistake. I won't purchase things that I don't really love. I have to learn to purchase a "per project" kit, instead of buying random papres and embellish. Since I am a real beginner, I do have some trouble in coordinating everything. I have been thinking of purchase a subscription at Cocoa daisy (since I like very much the color used on the kits, papers and embelies - actually I opened a thread about it - KIT CLUBS). I believe this way everything matches and I won't have a problem putting together bits and pieces. I hope.... LOL... Who knows.... LOL But this brief "set back" won't put me down. I will keep scraping! Thanks for taking time to answer me! 'Best, Dani

Good morning everyone! waving HI to you all! Nylene, so sorry to hear about your DHs eye! That has to be so scary, Im glad he turned around and came back. Thats good he has you to take him to and from work, I hope his treatment goes well ((hugs)) Tina, do you work or volunteer in a shelter? If so, that is very admiral of you! My father lived in an orphanage for a few years after his parents died, I know its not the same thing but I have tremendous respect for the people in those positions. Dani, yes I have created pages that were horrible. The 2 below I re-did this weekend and Im still not happy with them! I felt they were too busy first and now they are too plain its like I couldnt find middle ground with these. Also, I LOVE your layout! I feel like these are missing something, if you ladies have a recommendation or think of something I can add let me know! This is the 1st time using mist, should I add more mist to the Mom page? I think I was afraid to go too heavy or too big Jeez! I should have answered everyone in one message only, right? I am flooding the thread! Sorry about this. I love both your pages. It's so difficult when we are putting together a page, right? I never use mist before so I can't really advise you with it. But I am planning on trying to use watercolor paints and psalters in my LO's soon. Thanks for complimenting my LO.

Bonnie, I love your layout. Those circles are such a great design element. You should add it to Marianne's Stash Busters challenge at Cocoa Daisy. It fits her prompt [HASH]1 this round. She'd love to have you join. www.cocoadaisy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=13385 We had a lot of scrappers participating on 2Peas, but not so many now. You don't have to be a Cocoa Daisy subscriber to join. I'm not a kit subscriber. I had to laugh at the "21 and legal"! Is that a big cookie he's holding? Such a fun time in life, but wouldn't want to relive it! Great job documenting it. Nan, your life makes me tired reading about it. I don't scrap chronologically, just whatever fits my fancy. I think I'd go nuts trying to keep up since I didn't start this type of scrapping til my kids were all grown and gone. You are a dedicated mother and scrapper! Dani, when I post from Photobucket, I copy the IMG code, but just paste it into the message here. I don't use any of the linky buttons. It just shows up as a URL until I actually post it. Then I go back to EDIT it and it shows up huge. Hit PREVIEW and you can pull the corners and repost. Your traffic sounds terrible! We live in a relatively small town and sometimes I hate driving when the roads are full. I'd be scared to drive there! I don't even like driving in Salt Lake City because of the traffic. I'm just a small-town girl, I guess. I am not a morning person but since I'm taking Steve to work at 6:00 every morning, I'm finding some extra time to scrap. I have finished another Disney page. Sorry to flood you with layouts, but when the mood hits, I'd better scrap. One of the Bingo Cards didn't show up on my scanner, but it's light blue.

Cindy, are you OK? I worry when you don't check in for a day or 2. Edited to add: Duh, I didn't realize it was just one day you missed and that you posted day before yesterday. These early mornings are making my days seem like 2! LOL! At least you know I'm thinking of you!

Nylene - I took a peek at cocoa daisy, there are some beautiful pages over there. Yes, my son is holding a giant chocolate chip cookie that my mom made and sent to him. There were other smaller CCs in the box too. He promptly got himself a glass of milk and called it dinner.
Your Baby Simba page is very cute and she is so proud of her Simba. Fun Disney elements on your page.

I created this page last night for the CAD Day 3 Challenge (so if you have seen it already, sorry). Photos we purchased on our 10th Anniversary trip to the Big Island. Photographer: G. Brad Lewis: 1-Pele's Heartbeat, 2-Transition, 3-Ocean Dancing and 4-Midnight-Methane-Mist (and I paper pieced the volcano):

Bonnie, I love this layout. The drama of the papers against those gorgeous photos are incredible. I am so fascinated by volcanoes and love to look at photos and movies of them. This is fabulous. I love your handmade volcano. The title is perfect! LOL! What a beautiful place to visit.

Thank you so much for the sweet compliments. You are very welcome LocoCoco! I just got home from a long day today to find my 13th yo son toe all bursting, inflamated (?) - Is that the correct word? So I had to clean it and put him sitting down soaking his foot in hot water. Clean it. Poor little guy. He is having a bad case of ingrown toe nail. And although he is in pain for days, he only told me now. Why don't they never want to stop? I feel bad for him. But if it does not get better by friday I will taking to see the doctor. We are in the middle of winter here. And we had a cold day, around 50ºF. Its not that bad compared to the US, but for a tropical country, its a lot! But at least we had a bright sunny day all day long. How about yours?

Bonnie, when I watched the news tonight I was just sick seeing two hurricanes headed for Hawaii. I hope they fizzle out before they get too close, or turn and go out to sea. We'll be watching and waiting to hear. Prayers for all of you Hawaiians right now.
Hi, Cindy! Tell Maggie hello. Can't wait to see her board.
Pam, will you have Ruby Thursday tomorrow? I'll be sewing with one DGD to finish a scarf for the Fair.
Thanks to everyone for your comments on my layouts. You are going to be sick of Disney layouts before I finish, I'm sure. Have a great night!

Hello girls, how is August in your neck of the woods? Just stopping for a quick hello and to post some layouts that I have done recently. I am sure enjoying all the layouts that you gals have posted and the education side line. They are all beautiful and I love taking a peek. Tonight is RT and last night too. She also gets to visit on Saturday. She and parents and other side grandparents are going on a trip south,so we get to see her extra since she will miss next week, lol. I am sure it will be a fun time. I have stayed inside for several days since we are in the throes of horsefly season and I cannot risk the exposure. They seem to be thinning out,so I am optimistic that soon I can enjoy it outside again. Dani,I am interested to hear of your customs and am thankful that the US has no traffic rules like yours. We in the US should take that as a reminder to be thankful. Well,I have some chores then off to see Ruby Jo...... Soon Come Pam

Hey ladies! Boy have you all been busy scrappin away. I gotta get caught up today. We had a great time last night. Our city host a "Concert in the Park" series this Summer and we went. They featured the orchestra and they did lots of show tunes along with other great music. It got cold out there but we stayed and enjoyed every minute of it. So fun! I got some pictures so of course I will have to scrap away. Here is the mini album card I made for my mil. Lemon & Lime CardI'll be back later to chat and check out all your beautiful work.

Hello all my favorite Pokey Peas! Hope all is well with one and all! Well the multi-media board was finished today. Here it is- I have it posted on my blog which you can find Here: Myrtle Beach, S.C. which tells a little bit about how she made it. They are going to be hung vertically so one above the other. And now I need to go praise all the pages I have been missing! BBL

Hello Sweet Peas!
I'm tuned in to Big Brother and thought I would check in. You all have been so productive, I wish we could leave praise the normal way on this site, although I'm glad to have it, even with the limitations. The LO's are all soooo pretty! I love Corinne's 2 page 8x11 LO's...so pretty and I'm a fan of the dots and splatters. Nylene, you are killing it on the awesome Disney LO's - you are so much better than I am about finishing albums. I love that sweet photo of Sammie and how you embellished that LO, it's so cute! Bonnie - I LOVE your volcano LO and photos. The colors and photography are just beautiful. Cindy - I love the beach canvases, they have amazing texture and fun beach goodies. Kelly - your cards are beautiful...so feminine and classy. You do amazing work, you are an amazing artist.
Corinne - I am the CEO for a large child welfare agency, so the shelter is one of the programs that we run. My agency actually started out as an orphanage in 1851, so we have lots of people that are still associated with our agency that grew up there or adopted their children from us, it is very cool. The agency has tremendous history in the Indy area. We now have about 20 programs and are state-wide. We do a lot of child abuse prevention work, we served 43,000 kids last year, which seems crazy to me. I really love what I do, I'm blessed to get to give back this way. The Children's Bureau (where I work) actually sent caseworkers to my house when I was little, I grew up in a pretty crummy situation, so I just feel so fortunate to get to do this kind of work everyday.

Kelly, I love your card with is more than a card and more like a gift album. Your MIL is lucky to have such a wonderful wife for her son! I think it's great that you were able to use those photos. You do beautiful work.
Cindy, what fun projects for your and Maggie to work on. I left her a note on your blog. She will love have those hanging in her room. You are a wonderful grandma.
Pam, I love all your pages and left you notes on PB. I hope you have a great time with Ruby Jo.
Today I helped Ashley (DGD age 12) sew an infinity scarf. The fabric was 100% polyester (no rayon to be found around here) and hard to work with, but as it was cut I commented that I didn't think she had it on the grain line and that it wasn't 24" clear across the piece. The fabric cutter laughed and said, well, I'll cut it again but I have to cut on the pattern, whether it's on the grain or not. Well, needless to say, it was so far off that when Ash got through sewing, it looked like she'd purposely sewn it on the bias. The scarf looks lovely on her and hangs beautifully, but she's not going to get a ribbon on it for the Fair. It's SOOOO off. In order to be in the Fashion Revue she has to enter it for judging of the stitching. She's willing to take a white ribbon just so she can model it. I'm glad she loves it enough that she won't be disappointed on the ribbon judging. I miss the days of fine fabrics and knowledgeable clerks. I know I sound like an old lady...which I am!
Bonnie, I am worrying about you and all your friends and fellow Hawaiians. Please keep in touch.
Waving at all the Pokeys this month! Hope you are all doing well.
ETA: Hi, Tina! Nice to see you. I just wanted to chime in to Corinne and anyone else who doesn't personally know Tina, that she is perfect for her job. She has the sweetest, kindest way with all people. You can't be around her and not love her! I spent a few days with her and Cindy and Theresa at Scrapfest 2010 and all three are so genuine and easy to be around. Tina, Indiana is lucky to have you!

Tonight's pages (won't be doing any more tonight, because I think not wearing glasses all day has caught up with my head): Weather update: It is breezy (not windy) so we are enjoying the breeze after a humid afternoon, and because we do not have AC in our condo. We may be removing pictures from the walls or on our room divider wall (only place for photos and/or knickknacks) if and when the wind becomes stronger. We also hold our bathroom door open with two 10 pound kettleballs, otherwise the door slams shut in the wind and boy is it ever loud, plus it has non-see-thru etched glass in the door that we don't want to break.

Hi all~~~
Tina --- I am actually live west of Indy. Small world!
Love all the LOs that have been posted.
We moved DD to campus yesterday and got her settled in before the rain hit! It's tradition that she gets rain every time she moves in.. our first move in the weather was gorgeous and when it was time to leave the storms came in.. we are about an hour away from her in our 3 hour drive and we get alerts that they are to take cover because they are under a tornado warning! Luckily nothing happened near them but it sure made it easy to not be homesick for her because everyone was trying to stay safe..couldn't miss home taking care of things around you!
We will move DS down in 2 weeks.. So, I have actually found some space in our house again! We are renting a storage unit for the summers from now on! No need to drag a u-haul down and back w/ 2 kids moving out at once.. We will just store and move easier that way!
I hope to scrap more this weekend.. I have been scrapping a lot lately!! It's such great therapy! Take care!!
