Great idea to use your own fingers to paint confetti. Such playful, colorful art!

here is the page I made today - Baby Love all the different Patterned paper circles, great way to use up scraps if you have them.
I just bought a new die from Pinkfresh Studio, haven't used it yet and am anxious to do so. I had to buy a kit to get it, which I was not thrilled about, but the die should be fun to use.

The class reunion was so much fun. The first ones there formed a reception line, and as people went through they joined at the end of the line. We had about 150 there. Some had changed a lot and some hardly at all. Our class pres. was a "hippie" from the 60's and still is. (hair long, in a pony tail with multiple elastics down the back. He's still the same old anti-establishment guy, but so funny. He was the Master of Ceremonies and had us all in stitches. We decided to stay another night, so spent some time in Oakley where I was born. It's a tiny farming town. Visited our parents' graves and then went to the local County Fair and wandered around for a while. We haven't had a rodeo connected with our County Fair in Utah for years, so we bought tickets and went to the rodeo. Reminded me of many years of attending the rodeo with Steve while we were dating in H.S. It was a great weekend away from responsibilities here. Our DGDs did very well at the Fashion Revue. They called us during the rodeo to tell us they each won a trophy for modeling their sewing projects. So it was a great weekend all around.
You had an awesome weekend Nylene. I was very surprised when we visited the Hilo side of the Big Island how many hippies were there. Kind of an eye opener! Glad you had so much fun.
How nice you got to spend some time in the town your were born and visited your parent's graves.
Cheers for DGG for winning a trophy for the Fashion Revue.

This is Angie and Jon with their kids on the Spinning Teacups....a ride Pretty sure I have this patterned paper somewhere in my stash! Cute photos of everyone in the teacups.
You are inspiring me to want to work on a Disney book. I think we went back in 2008? (yes, I am guessing), no photos have ever been printed!

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes for Steve. I can tell that it's miserable for him, but he's the most patient person in the world at times. Because he is seeing the edge of the lens, every light shines off the edge and makes 3 upside down rainbows at the bottom of his vision. It must be so distracting. Poor DH, that sounds very frustrating. Does it make him dizzy or anything with vision like that?

I got to participate in the Digital U over at Creative Passions. Two of us were pulled out of hat to scrap a page with a kit by Anna Aspnes along with her, Jana Morton and Amy Kingsford. They then discussed the differences in all five layouts and we were allowed to tell the story of our layouts and our favorites elements etc. It was fun hour. I was not able top post the layout until after the Digi U was over and I am still not able to until tomorrow. So tomorrow I will post the page I did. It will be going on the blog over there also. Lucky you! Can't wait to see what you created.

Bonnie, your layout is incredible. First the design based on the ad is wonderful and that spam can is amazing. Love the hibiscus positive and negative, and those great palm trees. I am always amazed at your designing with your die cuts. Did I mention I'd like to live next door and play with your dies? Nylene - you are so kind with your comments here and SB.com. I would love to have someone next door to paper craft with. I miss those days, or even the space to spread out and get crafty! I do have two crops to go to this weekend, so I am looking forward to that.

What kind of die is? Can you link it here or post a picture? I would love to see what it is. On my LO I used a 6x6 pad I had and rarely use. Now I figured it out how to use them. LOL ... Living and learning... And I have a long journey to learn. There is so many things I have not tried yet. I love your LO! It seemed to have been a fun event. Love the pics, all the dancers and the huge wrap!

Bonnie, that is a fun die. I've seen it used several times and always love it. Do you have a favorite brand of die? I have finished another Disney page. Again, it's not typical Disney colors, but it does have Mickey heads! If you are tired of Disney layouts, just skip right over this.

Bonnie - This is a great die. I have been seeing it being used in different LO's. The kit was nice. How do you like it?
Nylene - another great LO! I love the colors ! Do you use Silhouette for your dies?

Nylene - Most of my dies are QK. I have some other brands as well, but I find that I don't particularly care for really intricate dies like Cottage Cutz. But sometimes I need a piece of a die for another project like when I was working on Star Wars characters, so they do get used, just maybe not the design they were intended for.
Fun colors for your newest Disney page and I like that you added some enamel dots. I am just now starting to use them on pages, what do you use to adhere them?
Dani - I have not used anything from the Pinkfresh kit yet, so I can't really comment on it.

Cindy, your layout is just gorgeous. I love all the cool techniques you used on it. I don't even understand what you did, but I love it! Congrats on having one of your photos in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park page. That's a real honor! You are famous and we knew you WHEN!
Dani, I don't have a Silhouette, but I have a Cricut Expression and SCAL which I bought before Provo Craft sued SCAL and made them stop selling it. I hardly ever use my cartridges except with the grandchildren, but I love finding SVG files online that I can cut.
Bonnie. I am slowly buying a few embellishment dies for doilies, etc. My cricut doesn't cut as intricately as a Silhouette so I can't do anything really delicate. I have been thinking about asking my DD for my QK alphabets back because she is a digi scrapper now. I do think she still uses them sometimes for Church things and PTA things. Maybe I'd better just use my Cricut and let her keep them. I only had about 5 sets.
I have finished a double pager but won't get it scanned and posted until tomorrow. I think I could scrap Disney pages every day forever. I just love doing them. I remember how sad I was as I scrapped my last Disney photo from our trip in 2008. I almost cried. There's just so much you can do with them and they are so much fun.
Better go do something constructive. See you all later!

Cindy, I accidentally deleted your email, thought I'd post here so everyone will know that you might end up with several photos being used by your Cuyahoga Valley area. You are becoming quite the photographer. I'm so proud of you. What an honor! Here are the pages I did. I had so much fun making animals for these pages. I got the patterns from misskatecuttables.com. I've always liked paper piecing and I used up some REALLY old scraps of cardstock. I think this is the first page I've done without patterned paper for a long time. It felt like old times when there was not much printed paper. I can't seem to get the second page in this post so I'll put it in the next one.

Hey ladies! It is Saturday and a beautiful sunny day. This week I was so excited to take another step in my art. I got my 1st canvas!!! I have been wanted to graduate to the next level and I did! I have been working on it over the last few days and learning how to adjust to it. Still have lots to learn but boy has it been fun. I will share pictures when I finish. Also, today is my 4th blog anniversary! Some of you were with me when I started and so glad to see we are still cheering each other on. So stop by for the celebration. My Blog PartyCindy- CONGRATS TO YOU! So cool to know they are using your picture. Will we be able to see the site? Keep enjoying this honor and hope you can take more pictures maybe they will use. Nylene- These Disney layouts are so wonderful. I haven't been in ages so it is nice to see these pics of the park. I am headed to leave you some praise. Waving hello to everyone and wishing you a happy day.

Seems that we've slowed down a little (which can be good!) I know people are busy getting kids back to school. I have finished a bunch of Disney pages, but I'll only post one now. I have Cubs coming in a few minutes. Just wanted to thank you for your prayers and well wishes for Steve. We saw his regular Macular Dr. yesterday and he said that the lens has slipped and will be lost in the eye if we wait until Sept 29. He made arrangements for us at Univ. of Utah Moran Eye center for tomorrow morning. I know that's an answer to prayers. Now if the super specialist can do something quickly. I'll keep you informed. Here's my layout: This little shop has special significance to Angie and family, but the journaling is hidden for privacy.

Hey I am a winner! I found out yesterday, I won a hot air balloon stamp set. I totally forgot I added my name to the giveaway but was happily surprised to see the email. I just love winning scrap supplies. Looks like I got more fun projects to make. Nylene- Oh, I hope everything goes well today for your dh. My prayers are with you all. Also, love the variety in your Disney pages. I will pop over to leave you some praise. Also, I don't know why my blog was giving you a hard time. So weird! Hope next time it is better. If not, let me know.

Kelly, congrats on winning the new stamps. Now we want to see what you do with them. I figured out what my problem was with your blog. My email got hacked, so I had to change the password, and in order to comment on your blog the old password was still stored with my google account. Once I fixed that it worked! Just thought I'd update you on the U of U appt. this a.m. We've been praying for a miracle and we feel like we are going to get one. The super specialist saw exactly what happened, diagnosed him with pseudo exfoliation glaucoma, which breaks down the structures in the eye that hold all the parts together. He says it's found in people of Scandinavian & Northern European descent. (DH is Danish on one side, Scottish on the other side) But the good news is that he is able to suture the lens back into place by attaching it to the iris. None of the local doctors even considered that. He thinks he can get him back to 20/30 vision in that eye, and that's a miracle. I was totally expecting to have to ask him to give up his keys forever. He is scheduled for surgery at the Univ. of Utah on Tues. which is amazing, especially with a holiday between now and then. Thank you for the prayers and well wishes. I feel that we have really been blessed through all this. Our DD, Emily drove us to SLC and wants to do it again for the surgery and the post-op. That was so kind of her and made it easier on me because right now, Steve can't even be a navigator getting us through the maze of traffic. Cindy, it sounds like you will be glad to have the grands back into school and on a regular schedule. What would they do without you? Are the kids excited about getting back to school with their friends? Pam, I hope you are doing something fun and crafty. Waving to all the Pokey Peas!

Oh Nylene that is such good news! I have tears in my eyes reading your post. I am so happy for both of you and that things are moving rapidly! Now we can give prayers of thanks.
The kids go back tomorrow and yes I am glad. I am tired of looking at video games etc. They need fellowship and better things to do with their brains! LOL

Hi everyone! I was sick for almost a week. One of this winter bugs. It messed with my digestive system. I was feeling terrible. I had to cancel appointments with me patients and stayed at home. Up to today I am not totally recovered yet. But hopefully soon.
Nylene - I love your pages. With all the hippos and Lions. Absolutely gorgeous. I am happy and relieved to hear your husband got an early appointment. Hopefully the whole situation with his eye will be fixed. Please keep us posted.
Kelly and Cindy - I have been to each of your blogs and left a comment. I am still trying to catch up. I'll get there.
I hope I get better soon to return to my things.
