Hello,TGIF and what a sun shiny day it is here in Ohio.
I am still hiding from the horseflies... I did manage to mow and weed a bit late last evening after visiting with Ruby. It was cooler and the bugs were starting to go to bed, lol.
Bonnie, hope that you are safe and the weather is not too severe. I loved your layout featuring the volcanoes. What an awesome site to visit.
NanA,so glad that at least one move was smooth. I remember the chore and bittersweet moments from my college days,my children's and now the grandchildren. The last grandchild is on break from summer to fall... one week is all the time he has so his quest continues. He wants to speed up the process to post graduate so I guess that is the way to do it. I used to enjoy every break there was, lol!!
Nylene, you are posting some real cute layouts... love the happy colors and happy faces. I want to make Ruby a quilt for Christmas gift,so I am starting to select my fabrics.I may end up looking on line since the stores that I can visit have such dismal selections.
Cindy, please tell Maggie that I just love her 2 page project. She achieved such texture and dimension and conveyed the good time that she had. We stay about 30 -60 miles north of myrtle beach in southern north Carolina but did visit the MB area on a couple trips... she did a super job!!
I have a confession... I long for our old gallery. I am grateful for our new home, but it was much easier to view layouts and projects there. I also feel like I am doing a blah job on commenting here.. old habits are difficult as they say..
Well, I have said enough.... Soon Come Pam
See,I forgot.... Kelly, your card was just lovely and I loved seeing it. What refreshing colors!!

Pam a quick note about the horseflies. When we go fishing on the pontoon boat for some reason the horseflies come on the boat too. My friend who owns got one of the battery operated zapping fly swatters and it works real well with the horseflies! You might want to purchase one-get it on sale!

Happy Birthday, Bonnie. Sorry your weather is not cooperating for a beautiful birthday week. I left you some comments on your SB.com account. I love your baseball pages. You do beautiful die cuts. Hope you are all still ok. Nan, glad you got part of the college move done. I remember those days...bittersweet! The storage container sounds like a great idea so you aren't moving things back and forth. Be sure to post some of that scrapping you are doing. I'm sure the scrapping helps with the stress of changing household members. Pam, horseflies are not fun. I haven't seen them around here, but as kids, they would attack us while we were walking through the fields to the swimming pool. They are miserable. I'd hide inside too! I hope you find the kind of fabric you want for Ruby's quilt. I'm always afraid to buy online because I have to "touch" it. Kind of like I do with scrapbook paper! I, too, really miss the 2peas gallery. It was so much easier to post comments. I try to leave comments on the source of the layout (photobucket, blog, etc.) but some don't link to a place for comments. (sigh) I really do miss 2peas. Do you remember my neighbor who was run over by the tractor? He asked me to check to see if there's a Scout award, or recognition the boys who saved him can get. Of course the boys say they didn't do anything except call 911, go for help and stay with him to keep him calm until the first responders arrived. Then they moved out of the way and let all the gathering neighbors know what was going on so they wouldn't go get in the way. Well, it turns out it is quite a big deal. I have spent the morning getting witness statements, statement from the injured (who is home now, but still needing lots of time and treatment). He said having the young boys there made him determined not to lose consciousness because it would scare them. If they hadn't heard him calling (while he had a tractor tire on his chest!) no one would have found him for hours. The paperwork has to be turned in by Wed. so I'm trying to get it done before DH's surgery on Tuesday. Sometimes I wonder how I had time to work. I seem busier now! Well, off to do something constructive. Keep scrapping, everyone.

Cindy, what a great idea... am looking up the zapper when I get off here. I probably shouldn't test my luck though,I do have a pretty mean reaction to the bites... no use tempting fate, lol. Nylene,I hope the scouts are commended... they deserve it. I also hope your neighbor is improving. He sure had an awful injury. Well,I did finish another page to add to my bucket list... the canals of Amsterdam.. would be beautiful to visit. Soon come Pam btw,if you click on my images, you are then taken to a much larger image... tfl!!

Happy Friday all! I am so glad the weekend is here. We plan on having a fun weekend. I need a break from all my art to get some new inspiration and recharge my batteries a little. I have been painting up a storm and will be posting some of the pictures soon. Also, thanks for all the cheers on my card for my mil. I just love the colors and it was nice using some of my flowers I had sitting around too.
Boy, you all have made some incredible layouts and I just finished leaving lots of praise. You all are a talented bunch I tell ya!
Nylene- I am sending some prayers for you and your dh. I hope it all goes well. I had so smile when you said you are not a morning person!!! I am not either. See we have so much in common. LOL! Thanks for the sweet words you left on my blog too. You are spoiling me and I love it! I liked reading about your sewing with your dgd. I hope maybe next time she will have it the way she wants for the competition. Is there a time of year for competiting or can you enter things all through the year???
Cindy- Your dgd's boards are so good. She is a very talented little lady. I like the sand and she really worked out on the waves. Awesome!!! Hey, how did you like 5 Guys?? I love the fries and the atmostphere is so fun too. Also, ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALLLLLLL? I am ready and can't wait to see how your team does with Johnny. I hope if he plays he does well.
Pam- Horsefly season??? What? I haven't heard of that. Do they bite like moquitos? Oh, how yucky! Maybe they will stay asleep a little longer so you can get out and about.
Bonnie- Your recent layouts are just terrific! The pirate ones with the treasure chest and sand was so awesome. Also that lava and volcano was amazing. You really have a great style and glad you are sharing with us. What is your Scrapbook dot com name so I can find you over there. I am ksimoner over there. ALso, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you had a wonderful time. Keep safe for that bad weather and keep us posted.
Tina- How did your presentation to the United Way go? That sounds like a big deal to me. So cool! Also, I think our husbands would enjoy each other. Mine is a big comic book movie fan too. He love the superhero especially and is so particular about them and the remakes. If the movies are too far off the original he throws his nose up. LOL!
Dani- So interesting to here how life is over there in Brazil. Does the rule really help lower the traffic? Also, how was it over there during the World Cup? Now the Olympics is coming in a few years.
Well, I think I am all caught up with you all. Waving hi to everyone else and wishing you sweet dreams.

Kelly, what fun thing are you going to do tomorrow? Be sure to take photos, wherever you go. My granddaughters work on projects all during the year and then enter them in the County Fair in August. (Monday!) If we had more time we'd find some other fabric and she could do another project, but she loves the way the scarf hangs, so she's not going to worry about it. As long as she gets good wear from it, it was worth the $ spent on fabric. Pam, is that one of Jacob's photos? I love them! I don't think I'll ever get to Europe, but I have a cuckoo clock that my neighbor brought me from Germany this summer. He's the one that had the accident. I fed their cats while they were away for 3 weeks. I love the clock. It chimes a different tune on each hour, along with the cuckoo. That's probably as close as I'll ever get to Europe. These early mornings are giving me more time to scrap. Of course I could do something more constructive, like clean, but I've enjoyed working on the Disney photos. Here's my latest. Just a cute photo of little Drew with the Cigar Store Indian on Main Street USA. Clicking on this takes you to my photobucket account where you can leave comments if you choose. I really miss the 2peas gallery options.

How wonderful for the Boy Scouts to be recognized for what they did, AND they should be recognized. They saved your neighbor's life.
Horseflies - heard of them, but have never encountered them, doesn't sound like I want to.
Thank you also for the birthday wishes and comments on SB.com
When again does your husband have his appointment for his eye? My mom has been going through a lot with her left eye, not sure she will ever regain her sight in it, it is still partially sewn shut after a revision to a cornea transplant.
I absolutely adore the border you created on this page and I will be scraplifted it! So colorful, fun and I have that punch!
^^ Tried to leave you a comment on photobucket, and all of these other windows started opening up - Nooooooo!!! Ü So instead, my comment is ^^

I have been waiting for a chance to come to the computer to look at hints and to say hi to everyone. I downloaded TAPATALK but I could not figure it out all the possibilities with the app for iPhone. But I will learn! Tonight's pages (won't be doing any more tonight, because I think not wearing glasses all day has caught up with my head: Weather update: It is breezy (not windy) so we are enjoying the breeze after a humid afternoon, and because we do not have AC in our condo. We may be removing pictures from the walls or on our room divider wall (only place for photos and/or knickknacks) if and when the wind becomes stronger. We also hold our bathroom door open with two 10 pound kettleballs, otherwise the door slams shut in the wind and boy is it ever loud, plus it has non-see-thru etched glass in the door that we don't want to break. I have not finish reading all the posts but anyway I decided to coment along the way instead of coming and going. I love your baseball LO. You have a cute boy! He must be a beautiful man now, since the photo is dated from 2001. The 2 page LO is great! And the one celebrating your anniversary! You did a awesome work. And up to this post I can see you got prepared for the weather. Happy belated b-day!! Cindy, what a great idea... am looking up the zapper when I get off here. I probably shouldn't test my luck though,I do have a pretty mean reaction to the bites... no use tempting fate, lol. Nylene,I hope the scouts are commended... they deserve it. I love it! It amazes me how many things you can do with the Digital Scrap. Here, in Brazil, we use an electric raquet that zaps mosquitoes, and flies. It helps a lot. I hope you can get somethings to get rid of those nasty bugs. Nylene - I just heard about your neighbor. I am glad he was found. And although the boys think they didn't do much, they sure did. The deserve a commendation. Hows your husband doing? How about his eye? I am loving seeing the happy faces throughout your Disney LO. I love your work Nylene. Happy Friday all! I am so glad the weekend is here. We plan on having a fun weekend. I need a break from all my art to get some new inspiration and recharge my batteries a little. Well, I think I am all caught up with you all. Waving hi to everyone else and wishing you sweet dreams. Kelly, I can't wait to see your paintings. I have seen your work before and I know how talented you are! Horse flies, a a big fly that bites. And, boy, it hurts! Tomorrow is father day here, so we are planning to go out to have lunch with my DH and DSs. My brother in law, lives close by, so he and his wife and kids will be celebrating with us. About traffic here: yes, the rule does make it better, not WAY better. But in a city like São Paulo where it has 20 million people its kind of crazy to cut the number of circulating vehicles. During the Soccer Wold Cup: The games happened in different cities. If a game happened here, the mayor declared a day off in order to diminish traffic. And they had extra buses going back and forth to the Stadium. It have worked well. During the matches where Brazil were playing, does not matter what city was, it was given half day off. The first day Brazil played the game was at 4PM. At 3PM there was such a gridlock, many people haven't seen the beginning of the game. As for the Olimpics, it will be held in Rio. The state is working a lot in transportation and improving so much its structure. You can say the city is totally under construction. LOL We hope it gets all done for the games. Cindy - I forgot commenting of your dgd board. They are very nicely done, very colorful and with a lot of texture. I really think they are great. She did a terrific job on them.

Bonnie, your pages are beautiful. You must have some wonderful dies! You do so many fun things with them. I just realized that you have to have a Photobucket account to see PB layouts. It's like the links people send me of something on Facebook, and since I don't have an account, I can't see it. I just get windows popping up and gibberish! Sorry I didn't think of that earlier.
We just got a call from the surgeon doing DH's eye surgery and he's afraid it's worse than he anticipated. We have to see him early Mon. morning and he may send him to the Eye Clinic in Salt Lake City. We are supposed to leave for my 50th class reunion in Idaho on Friday, so I'm hoping they can fix him locally. Of course I want the very best treatment and outcome, so we'll go where we have to go.
Hope you all have a great rest of the weekend!

Good Sunday morning! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! I am tired! Becky< Jeremy and the kids and I went to Bob's farm. First time I have been there ion a few years. For you gals that don't know there is no running water there. I can go without the electric but the water thing is another story. I am a Holiday Inn girl if you know what I mean. The grand kids and my DSIL had a ball! They were riding the ATV and the kids were giving Papa rides in the wagon as they drove the mower! Ahhh yes I rode on the back of the atv too. I did not get the thrill the grands got from it however! LOL! However I took numerous photos and did a lot of walking. Nylene-loving your pages ! Sorry to hear about Steve's eye and I am praying for both of you and his doctors. Also I am glad to hear that the scouts may be recognized for their good works with your neighbor. High fives to them!!! Bonnie I am so enjoying your pages and it si hard to leave you the love you deserve. I am glad you had no problems with the quake and hurricanes. Pam- I too miss the gallery and the jabberwacky way we are having to do our comments. well I am going to do some moving and will be back later. I want to give all of you a big thanks for your kind words on Maggie's Memory Boards.

Good Morning Peas! I hope that all is well with you today. I had a fun day yesterday, dh and I did our usual Saturday morning date at Panera, we did our chores around the house and then I played scrapbooks for most of the day. I got a few LO's done and got my scanner working, so I've posted them to our family blog (which I never usually do anything with, my dh posts on it mostly). Here is the link to some of my LO's: My blogNylene - I'm going to pray for Steve for his eye condition to be manageable and for healing. I hope that his appointment goes well and that he doesn't need another major surgery. Also, thank you for the kind words about me, you are too sweet. Sometimes I feel like my job gets the best that I have to give and that my family gets what's left over when it's all done. I try to do it all well, but I am unfortunately...human. Kelly - It does sound like our husbands would bond. Mine does the critiquing of the movies too to determine if they are following the "real" storyline. I think it's funny since it's all made up anyway. He and his nerd friends can have some serious discussions about that stuff. My United Way tryout went well, I'll hear back from them this week. All of the public speaking is a bit unnerving to me, but I've gotten used to it. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it still freaks me out, but I have to speak at events all of the time. I do an event with the Governor once a year, I'm doing a project with the Indpls. Colts that requires me to present there and do media with them and did a couple of commercials last year. That was the part of this job that freaked me out the most when I got it (a year and a half ago), but I've learned to roll with it. The hardest part is that they often want me to tell my own story of child abuse and I try really hard to be delicate about what I say in the media about that because I don't want to hurt my parents...although they know that I do talk about it publicly. Nan - You have to be pretty close to my office. It's at 16th and MLK, it has giant photos of kids on the outside of it. I live on the far south edge of Indy out in the country. Well, I need to check on Olivia and then head out to church. She had her wisdom teeth taken out on Monday and has had an infected socket and problems with the pain meds...she is having a hard week. Have a great day ladies! Tina

I have been scrapping away this weekend... I need to go down and get started today... I owe a few LOs to this thread that I need to remember to post weekly! I did one last week that I scrap lifted off Pinterest.. DH was quite impressed with it..
Tina-- so sorry to hear about Olivia's issues with her wisdom teeth. I hope she starts feeling better soon... We had C's taken out early July; no issues but he had a hard time sleeping that day unlike J who slept all day long. Several of his friends had issues with dry sockets this summer.
Nylene - what font is that you used for "Superhero" on your LO. I just love it.. I will have that file ready tonight.. I tried cutting it yesterday and the Mickey heads were not crisp so I had to go back and adjust. Then I made another one to use on other pages.
sbartist -- love your LOs.. makes me want to visit Hawaii more and more but I'm terrified to fly over large bodies of water...
I hope everyone has a great day! Enjoy!

We had a fun and restful day yesterday at the park. I just love park days under a tree. Then we went to M's and I finally got one of those white paint markers I have been needing. It works great too. Also, they were having a sale on paint, too. So I got some good primary colors. So this means more paint time for me this week.
My in-laws are going by today so I am trying to straighten up some. I can't wait to show them some of my art that they haven't seen. Then after that, my dh and I plan to relax and enjoy the evening.
Nylene- I hope all goes well for your dh. Hang in there! Your Disney layouts are sooooo good. I am enjoying seeing them all. Such creativity and variety. Go girl!!!
Dani- Thanks for sharing about your city. So interesting to see how others live. Oh and the bitting flies? Omg, I haven't heard of them before and they sound terrible. So glad I haven't see any around here. LOL!
Tina- Glad your presentation went well. I am not crazy about public speaking either but usually once I got started I would feel better. It was just all the waiting and anticipation that would get me.
Cindy- I am a Holiday Inn kind of gal too. But glad you all had fun.
Bonnie- I did find you on SB.com and left a comment. Oh, and you have the best dies. The lava, the flowers and all the images you create are really fantastic.

First of all, I must apologize to any of you who received a phony email from me. My account was hacked and anyone who tried to open the documents needs to run an scan and then change your password. I am so irritated. It went out to EVERYONE who has ever sent me an email, not just my contacts. Why do people do such awful things! We went to see the surgeon this a.m. and he's sending us to someone with more experience in SLC. I think that's the right decision. It just means Steve won't be able to see for a while as we wait for an appt. Apparently this is not considered an emergency because he can see well enough to get around. Dani, how was your Father's Day. I hope you had a great time. Cindy, I'd love to see a photo of you bouncing around on the back of the 4-wheeler! I'm with you on the "roughing it". I prefer a hotel with room service so I don't have to go out at night to get something to eat! I'm sure the kids had a great time at the farm. Tina, I haven't been to your blog yet, but will as soon as I finish this post. Glad you are scrapping and that you figured out your scanner and computer. Hope Olivia is feeling better today. That's not fun! I'm glad your presentation went well. You have such a pleasing natural way. I'm sure they loved you. Nan, we'd love to see your layouts. The font on my page is FFF Tusj from Dafont. www.dafont.com/fff-tusj.fontKelly, I can't wait to see what you do with your white paint markers. I've never used paint markers. Bonnie, I left you some love on your SB.com account. I just can't get into pocket pages, but I love look at the work of others. I do have a few pages where I've used pocket pages on 12x12 pages, but my comfort zone is 8.5x11 traditional scrappping. I need to run. Today is check-in for exhibits for County Fair. We didn't accomplish much, but we're on our way. See you later.

If you need to enlarge it just click on it and it will take you to photobucket. Sorry to hear that Steve has to wait I know it is really hard when it involves your vision I just hope that this specialist can help him. MY prayers and hugs will continue as long as it takes!

I just thought I would share some of the fun with you. I have quite a few pics that need to be scrapped It is raining here today and my head is pounding! Wish I was closer too!

Happy Monday! We did have a fun time with my in-laws yesterday. They enjoyed my art and that made me happy. Both of them have had experience with art so it was good to hear their comments. I think they might be inspired to dust off the brushes and pencils and give it a try again. I posted some new art on my blog and will be showing more later this week, too. So stop by and check it out. Two HeartsCindy- OMG!!! I love it!!! You look great and I know you had fun. I can imagine your dgc cheering and laughing away as they watch grandma goooooo! So cool! Nylene- I think Cindy made our day with these great pictures!!! Glad your dh will be getting the best of care and I am praying it all goes well. So happy you got some fun 4h stuff to do to keep you smiling. Also, I plan on using the white maker to write on darker pages but may use it in my art too. I tested it out in my journal and it so cool. Nice and opaque! Waving I to you all. Check back tomorrow!

Hi fellow Pokey Peas Refugees. Now that we have found a home where we are pretty happy I have a suggestion for you. Since we have no gallery and it is difficult right now for us to post our creations and leave comments for others beautiful works I have an option for you. I have a second blog that I am not really using for my personal stuff. I can make it into a gallery where we can all post our pages and leave comments in one place. I will do all the administrative part of it-which is mainly done and all you would do is post your pages. The only thing necessary for you to do is to get a Google account You do not have to use it but you need it to sign in for comments occasionally. It is just an email account and if you don't share it with anyone the only thing that would go there would be gallery stuff. I will do a tutorial on how to post and have it on a tab on the blog so it will be right there if you need it. Please let me know if you are interested. You can just leave me a note here. If you want to see the blog you can see it HERE

Cindy, I think that sounds like a great idea. It would be private for posting, but we could put a link here. Knowing me, you'll have to hold my hand and walk me through posting there. But you are used to that by now!! LOL!
