Expensive but mine are also prescription. I need some new ones but I'll get them for half price because that's what my eye doc offers when you also purchase regular glasses. It'll be an expensive day when I finally get in there!

A mix...I have some pricey ones and a slew of cheap ones. Just depends on what I am doing.

Mine are Rx as well... I pay an arm and a leg for the damn things. But as long as they're comfortable, I really don't mind. I take good care of them.

Expensive prescription, no line bifocal, high index. Plus I went with a designer Jimmy Choo frame. Total cost: $740. Choke choke
I'm getting a second pair in August and I want Ray Ban Aviators. Love that style.

I have both expensive and cheap pairs. I like expensive ones for day to day use and the cheap ones for camping and beach days. I am careless with my cheap ones but very careful with my expensive ones.

U have both. As long as they are polarized though.
A couple weeks ago one of the morning shows tested the UV factor & cheap were just as good as expensive.

Mine range from $9.99 to $600 or so. I do cheapies when we go to the beach with the fam, at the pool with my niece, on the boat/tubing/skiiing, or when they're likely to get broken. Sunglasses are kind of my jam so if i'm behaving like a grown up I wear more pricey ones. I usually choose them as incentives from the company and my sponsor and i'm surprised at how well i've actually taken care of them b/c I was a serial sunglasses killer.
Right now i'm rotating Tom Ford, Coach, Michael Kors, Prada, and Tiffany. I just broke a pair of Tiffany a couple of weeks ago, but i'd had them for5 years so I suppose they put in their time. I cried still though. I loved those shades. The good part is that most people around here don't buy designed retail and don't really follow trends but get all excited about the brand names so I can usually wear them for 2-3 years and then resell for 1/2-3/4 of what they cost originally. Works for me, I love an update!

Cheap af, and if they break I return them. I go cheap too...because I tend to wear mine while swimming. As in I am wearthem while bobbing around in the ocean and don't take them off to go under. It is, of course, an open invitation to lose them, so cheap is the way to go. BUT I do go cheap and polarized (and brown lenses-no grey.) Too many times I have been in the water and need to identify the thing sharing the ocean with me and that just doesn't happen with non polarized lenses.

Cheap! There are always people with tables of $5 sunglasses on the streets in the summer. If I break a pair, I just buy more. I, too, just toss them in my purse with no case.
This is the first summer that I'll be wearing glasses full-time - I used to wear contacts much more often - so I guess I need to rethink my strategy. Maybe a pair of transitioning lenses from Zenni is in order...
(I can no longer use the word "transition" in any of its forms without thinking of transsexuals!)

I always buy cheap, because I'm always dropping, or losing them. But, if I am going on a trip where we will be spending a lot of time outside, I will buy a a pair of polarized pair that is around $50. DH buys $100+, but he takes really good care of them. Sounds like our family! My husband is very careful with his stuff, and can buy an expensive pair and it will last him a few years. I buy the cheap ones because I am not so careful, and I will lose, break or scratch them! I did buy some polarized sunglasses from Costco for $36 a few years ago and really liked them.

Whenever we go to NYC, we always find the knock off Oakleys. I buy 6 or 7 pair for $10 each.

Cheap, $20 and under. I have several pairs in different colors and styles so I can switch up whenever I like. I'm not too picky about sunglasses.

Cheap. I lose them so I don't see the point in spending a ton of money on them. There's a company I really like called icueyewear.com that make reading glasses and recently they just started carrying sunglasses too. I buy them at Whole Foods when I'm there grocery shopping. I have an abnormally small face and most glasses are too big on my face, so it really helps if I can try them on in person. This company makes glasses sized for my face, and at a great price.
I found some sunglasses that are polarized and wrap around that fit my face perfectly and cost less than $18.00. That works for me.

I usually buy nicer brands at a discounted price at Nordstrom Rack. I usually get 4-5 years out of a pair.

I buy expensive sunglasses, and I take good care of them and use them for 2 years. They are prescription, so I alternate sunglasses and regular glasses.

Well both - the best thing I ever bought was my prescription sunglasses, but when I updated my regular glasses last year I didn't have the funds to get a pair of sunglasses as well, so I just wear cheap (well $25 so not dollar store glasses but not super expensive either) sunglasses that I got at Rite Aid - only for on the deck though, I can't wear them to drive. I love them but I hate them too because I much prefer the prescription ones for driving and distance.

I used to spend $20 max and was always breaking pairs, plus loss of sunglasses don't fit me right, they're too close to my face and fog up. Dh got a gift card from my referring him for lasik, so he got me Asian fit Oakley sunglasses and they fit perfectly. Of course now that I have expensive sunglasses with a fancy case my kids always want to wear and play with my glasses...so far so good though, fingers crossed they'll last a while. They're about a year old.

I wear Maui Jim for the lenses (and styles) so expensive. Nothing compares to them. Once I got used to the lense - hard to wear anything else. My favorite style is the Baby Beach aviator. That. Love Maui Jim's! Just bought their latest style last week. LOVE them!

I usually buy cheapish ones because I hate spending money on sunglasses (and shoes and handbags). My mum gave me a pair of her super expensive sunglasses that she didn't wear any more and sure enough I lost them. Found them again a week later, but after that I dropped them on the concrete floor at Costco and smashed the lens. It was going to cost hundreds of dollars to get them fixed so I didn't bother.
My SIL bought me a fabulous pair of Guess sunnies for Christmas 2 years ago and I have been guarding those babies like you wouldn't believe. I'm going to get prescription lens put in them for next summer so even more reason for me to be really careful of them.

I like the cheap ones. I'm pretty good with keeping them nice and not losing them, but I like having different ones to choose from. I also like to keep a pair in the car in case I forget to grab a pair as I'm leaving the house. I usually got to Five Below and get them. DH likes his Oakley's but he keeps them for years. I have to get regular glasses for the first time in my life, not sure I will be able to afford prescription sunglasses this year. Thankfully my eye sight isn't so bad that I can't see without them so I should be good until next year.

I wear a strong prescription, but do not wear contacts. My insurance only covers one pair of glasses (my day to day regular ones) so by default, any sunglasses I buy are going to cost me a pretty penny.

I always buy frames for my glasses that have matching magnetic or perfectly fitted clip sunglasses my Rx is far too expensive and changes too often to get Rx sunglasses. I can barely afford to keep myself in regular frames and lenses. But many styles offer matching sunglass especially that are magnetically attached or discreetly clipped on and it's only $50 to $100 more.

Costa del Mar... around $200. I used to wear cheap sunglasses, and lost or broke them often. This is my 2nd pair of Costas, and they will be 7 years old this summer. I wear them every single day - and nothing else compares, in my opinion.
I'm ready for a new pair this summer.
