I always buy cheap, because I'm always dropping, or losing them. But, if I am going on a trip where we will be spending a lot of time outside, I will buy a a pair of polarized pair that is around $50. DH buys $100+, but he takes really good care of them.

Mine are prescription so expensive. But if I didn't need prescription then I'd buy tons of cheap ones so that I could change my look.

Expensive ($100-200 range). I wear them every time I step out the door (eye sensitivity) and also take care of them. My current pair is about 5 years old. I really need to look for a new pair. However, a pair of prescription sunglasses is on my list so that will probably happen next.

I wear Maui Jim for the lenses (and styles) so expensive. Nothing compares to them. Once I got used to the lense - hard to wear anything else. My favorite style is the Baby Beach aviator.

Cheap. I always have 4-5 pair of cheap sunglasses floating around. I drop them, I lose them, I wear them on top of my head, I just toss them in my handbags. I'm just not responsible enough for pricey sunglasses.

I wear cheap sunglasses because I'm pretty hard on them ... if I had a prescription I would get more expensive ones though and I would take better care of them

Cheap, usually under $25. I have a tendency to either misplace them or break them when they end up at the bottom of my purse. In fact, I need to buy a new pair since my last ones broke.

Until I needed progressives I wore cheap sunglasses. I've had the same pair of prescription sunglasses for three years and haven't lost them yet <knocks wood>. It helps that I've become accustomed to putting them directly into their bright pink case when I'm not using them which makes it more difficult to accidentally leave them behind.

I'm awful with sunglasses so I buy cheapy ones but I'm thinking of investing in a really good pair. Maybe I will treat them better

Both - I've lost a few expensive ones off the sides of boats and other ways - on a daily basis they're nice, but if I'm doing something where my clumsy ways can jeopardize them, I'll pull out w cheap pair.

My current pair is from the $1 store. The pair before that was $15 and I lost them after 2 weeks. I'm horrible about keeping track of things.

Latest pair cost $847 So expensive I guess. ( and the frames were free! )
But they are prescription glasses. Really thick coke bottle glasses and that's with the thin/ high index / plastic lenses.
uggh I hate to buy glasses because it's so much money!!!

i have one pair that are prescription (for distance) which I bought from zenni, so not too expensive. I want to get a cheap pair for vacation and the beach so I can read in the sun.

I'm addicted to Ray-Ban aviators. I have four pairs - two prescription and two not.
I don't remember ever losing a pair of sunglasses and I take good care of them, so I don't fell badly about having expensive ones. OTOH, DH only gets cheap ones because he loses them frequently.

This is me- worth every penny! I popped them in half and loved that they repaired them for free. I'll never buy another brand.

I have a pair of very expensive prescription sunglasses. I never lose them. But for some reason, regular sunglasses that I wear with contacts I try to get at the dollar store because I lose them constantly.

I have a mix. I'm addicted to Ray Ban aviators and Wayfarers. I have about 3 pairs of each in different metals and colors. I have a pair of Dolce & Gabbana shades that aren't really a style I like anymore. A pair of Juicy Coutures m, Coach, and a Prada pair. But I have lots of cheapies too for the lake, water park, or when I'm doing outside work.

Cheap ones, less than $20. I'm constantly scratching them, dropping them, squashing them, busting the sides off, and otherwise roughing them up.

I wish I could wear cheap, trendy sunglasses. I am useless without glasses so I have to have rx sunglasses. Working for an Optometrist gets me a great discount, I just pay our wholesale cost. The last pair still cost me $320.
