I've got kitchen gadgets from choppers and slicers and dicers, all stuck in drawers somewhere that I've bought over the years. So my latest 3AM insomnia, wow, those look cool, purchase were for some magic bristle gloves! Haven't got them yet so no idea if they are going to work. Providing the bristles don't break off after one use, I actually think they're kinda nifty. However for the price, my expectations are pretty low. I'll report back once I get them. What was your last what was I thinking purchase? And I wonder what that cute little model is thinking? Suckers all of you that buy these crappy gloves!

I'm thinking you might need an intervention, girl! lol I think that cute little model is thinking "I wonder if they come in pink to match my scarf?" So, do you get a right and left hand glove or two of the same? Inquiring minds need to know! Hmmm, I believe my last "gotta try that!" purchase was probably that PedEgg thing. It actually worked, but now it just sits in a drawer somewhere since I swear by Flexitol for tootsie issues. I'm waiting with bated breath for your review...

Be sure to come back w/a review. While I don't have a 'what was I thinking' purchase, I do have one that I regret. Years ago I bought a hair towel called the Turbie Twist from QVC. Love, love, love that thing. I have 3. However, they're getting old, the elastic is almost shot, so I bought some more at a local beauty supply. The ones I bought were cotton terry. The new one is microfiber. Hate, hate, hate microfiber. So, I gifted them to my friend who doesn't have the same heebie-jeebie reaction. I went to Amazon & bought another one. The package said 100% cotton. Apparently, microfiber is made from cotton because it's THE EXACT SAME THING. Woe is me, will I ever be able to replace my beloved Turbie Twist?

Ohhhhh, wish I had read this a few days ago! QVCUK had the 'Turbie Twist' and I thought of buying some to take on holiday with me.......I hadn't had any before so wasn't sure if they would be good so thought, and thought a bit more - and then by the time I had decided to go ahead and buy, they were sold out!!

DD uses her Turbie Twists and really likes them. They are microfiber, which I hate the feel of. So I'm on your side, Tiffanytwisted.
I'm not much for kitchen unitaskers--gadgets that only do one thing. I think the gloves look better for scrubbing vegetables. I'd bet they would be good for cleaning cucumbers when making pickles. Or scrubbing a whole pot of potatoes.

Not yet but someone had better talk me down cuz I'm (this close) to buying a new standard poodle pup. We already have two beagles and one standard. We do NOT need another dog. But she is so cute and perfect in every way and I WANT her!

Check at Walgreens by the hair brushes or at Marshall for the Turbie Twist. I love mine and I got the terry type at both places.

Wow, Marianne, that is a good question, although the guy said.....but wait....there's more! You get TWO pair of gloves if you order in next 1.5 seconds, so I assume you get two righties and two lefties. And some kind of cleaning power mitt. All for the low low price of $10.....plus shipping and handling, pssst which is $39.99! Such a deal and no, shipping was like five bucks. So yeah, I'll come back with a review, I will even take photos! Maybe a video of me cleaning a cucumber! Oh and don't you love amazon, I buy so much from them, I probably pay their light bill. And I love my ped egg too! Emptying it out is another story. Yuck! Good luck with your turbie twist, tiffany!

linda~lou - get rid of the PedEgg, you must try Flexitol Heel Balm! It's a miracle cream, honest! I struggled with dry, cracked heels most of my adult life; tried the Flexitol a couple of years ago and was seriously amazed at the results. I followed directions religiously and really did notice it working in 3 days, just like it claims. The only thing I do now is lotion each night and maintain with the Flexitol periodically. More in the winter time. I'll never have to use (or empty!) anything as harsh as the PedEgg again. I got it on Amazon (where else?) lol, and you can also get it at Walmart. About $10 for a 4 oz tube - totally worth it, a little goes a long way. There then - there's my review - try it, you'll like it!

Bada Bing Bada Boom! Flexitol in my cart, buy it now, Prime, I'll have it Tuesday! Thanks marianne, although I'm going broke here. I'm such a sucker for anything the peas recommend. Had the board not been resurrected, I'd be able to buy a yacht and sail around the world....well, maybe a canoe trip down the Detroit River!

Last year I bought a summery cotton dress because it was dirt cheap and had a flattering cut. It hung in my closet for a YEAR with me thinking "why did I buy that hideous thing - the colors are horrific" (crazy 80s style multicolored flower pattern). I finally wore it for the first time about a month ago because it was stinkin' hot and it was one of the only dresses I had clean - got THE most compliments on that thing. I wear it regularly now, but I still cringe a little when I put it on because it's much "louder" than what I usually wear.

Next time before you order, just type "reviews [product name]" and you can see what you are in for. The Magic Bristle Gloves have 3 out of 5 stars with 102 reviews on this site. schizo319, love your avatar.

Heart my Turbie Twist! I am always on the lookout for more. We were in a Goodwill in a college town and I found 4 of them. There were 2 in a package together for $1.99. Scooped those right up. We find lots of goodies at the Goodwill in that town. Those kids dump so much barely used stuff when the semester is out the store is packed.

That one is similar, but this is the one I ordered. 100% cotton my butt. I will definitely check out Walgreen's & Marshall's. Thanx Burning Feather! And I can't say enough how microfiber freaks me out. My sweet sister gave me & our other sister these cute little footie things to keep your tootsies warm in the winter. Microfiber. Can't wear 'em. Can't even touch 'em. <shudders>

I would be happy to send it to you! I will look and see if I might have more than one. They came in a set and I gave them as little Christmas gifts. Oh and I have the same reaction to microfiber! I ordered some microfiber towels and had to give them away. I can't even touch them!!

BeckyTech well the reviews weren't all that bad, for $15 if I can clean the grout around my tub, I'll be happy! And marianne, if I stay up late watching Big Brother After Dark and get suckered into anymore infomercials, I will let you know.

Can I just jump in here to say that it makes my so happy that I'm not the only one who gets the heebie jeebies from microfiber?! I cannot stand to touch it and I always thought it was just me! The skin on my hands doesn't feel dry but the microfiber hangs off of my hand like I'm made of velcro and the microfiber is the other piece. It creeps me out.
