It's only been a month well June 25th to be exact, and I'm still in denial. I am going to start a Hospice grieving group so hopefully that will help me. I'm so close to my mom, we would talk almost daily. My kids are 10 and 14 and my son is just heartbroken, he is 10 years old and he was really close to mom. My parent's were married 51 years. This has been the hardest thing I've ever gone through. I keep searching for signs from my mom. At first I was getting tons of them, but now I just don't see them. I believe in God and heaven and I know she is in a much better place and she is not suffering from her breast cancer anymore. Her last words were as she was in bed and dying were, "Are you all staying strong?" and, "I'm happy." Gosh this loss in enormous and heavy. I'm just heart broken. I miss her so much, there is just no fixing this loss except to go through it. I just needed to get this out. Thanks for listening to me.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I am so sorry. Truly sorry. I hope your heart begins to heal in the near future. The pain is unreal. I lost someone dear to me a year ago and I didn't think I would live. But somehow you do. Please know your are in my thoughts and prayers. I am just so sorry

Hugs. So sorry for the loss of your Mom. My mother passed away 2 1/2 years ago and I can remember back to the early days after her passing, so can imagine what you're going through. Be gentle on yourself - it's a really hard event to deal with.

I am so sorry. I know how you feel, I lost my dad on 7/14. The pain is so intense. Just keep her good memories in your thoughts. There is nothing we can do but go through the pain and hope that it lessens over time.

I'm sorry. The feeling of denial is normal. Tomorrow will be 6 months since my husband passed, 9 months since my mom passed. My mom was 63, my husband was 39. It's still hard for me to believe that they are both gone. When people ask how I'm doing I say "I'm doing okay." The people that ask, "no really, how are you doing?" I tell them I feel like I'm on a monthly grieving loop. I feel like I go through denial, anger, deep sadness, and then acceptance. Hearing people say, "new normal" hurts, but that is what life becomes. Your new normal.

You guys are the best, I appreciate your replies so very much. It's so nice to know we are not alone and so many of us has suffered deep losses. I'm going by the screen name Infinity because my mom always said to me, "I love you to infinity." I now wear her infinity necklace I bought her for Mother's Day. Just yesterday my dad gave my sister and I a necklace of my mom's thumbprint. It's just a little silver oval piece, it's just beautiful, so I added that to my infinity necklace. Of course it brought tears seeing it but yet it's so beautiful.

Infinity....love the meaning behind your screen name. Just remember, grief knows NO timetable..none. Hospice grief group is a great idea. It will get better, it will never be the same but that's ok too.

I am so sorry. I haven't lost my mom but I have lost my first DH and my oldest DD. You will be in the grief loop for a very long time and that is ok. Don't let anyone tell you it 's time to be. "Over" it. Can you talk to your dad and sister about it?

I'm sorry for your loss. It's a long road that you're facing for sure but it will become easier to bear. The longing will always be there but the hurt will ease, give yourself time and take each day as it comes.((((hugs)))
