I'm talking about posts by SockMonkey and others on here whose only response to the contents of the leaked e-mails was "Why didn't he leak the RNC e-mails." That is the excuse I'm speaking of.

That's not an "excuse." That's a question. It is suspected that the Russians hacked the DNC email accounts. Let's see...who has a relationship with the Putin administration? There's the answer to that question.

But it still doesn't address the content of the released emails. The intentional derailment of Bernie Sander's campaign.
Trump didn't do that; Putin didn't do that, Wikileaks didn't do that. The DNC did that. Trying to place blame on WHO was behind leaking the emails while ignoring the fact that they were actually created and sent by the DNC is absurd. I'm frankly amazed that this doesn't bother any of you Democrats.

I'm frankly amazed that this doesn't bother any of you Democrats. It bothers the hell out of me! I've been a Democrat since 1978 when I turned 18. If Bernie doesn't win the Democrat election I'm out of this party! How the other Democrat Peas cannot see when the evidence is staring them in the face with these leaked emails (that Hillary Clinton and the DNC did in fact commit voter fraud in several states to derail Bernie Sanders and make Hillary Clinton the winner) is proof they have blinders on when it comes to Hillary Clinton. What will it take? She gets away with leaking emails on her private server that no one else would ever get away with-emails that very well could have an effect on our national security and you want this woman to be President of the United States? Someone with even more power? And what was that weak excuse why they couldn't convict her? Oh yeah-they couldn't prove intent. Intent my fanny. Yes, judge. My client did murder Mr. Jones in cold blood and their are several key pieces of evidence but there is no way of proving intent so we his attorneys do believe this court must find him innocent. That would have been laughed out of court. She should be in jail, had her security clearances stripped from her or at the very least not be permitted to run for President. I do believe in everyone's right to vote. But please for the love of God, vote from your heart and vote for your values. Do NOT vote out of fear. I believe Donald Trump might very well have been planted for just this reason. I am not a conspiracy theorist. Normally anything like that I am very skeptical of and I don't believe it. I don't believe in UFO's, the grassy knowl (sp) in JFK's assassination, and so on. But, this has been said before about Trump and to me it makes sense. It adds so much weight to Clinton's campaign (anyone but Trump). I am sick of the lesser of two evils. The lesser of two evils is still evil. You are not left with only these two to vote for. There is Jill Stein for those that usually lean Democratic and there is Gary Johnson for those that usually lean Republican. Maybe this is the year we break up the two party system. It hasn't worked for a long, long time.

What country are you living in? Because the last time I looked here in the USA a nomination in any party isn't "promised" to anyone. A person can run as a candidate in a party for President but then the people of the country vote in primary elections and whoever has the most votes, the most delegates and the most superdelegates wins the nomination. The fact is the DNC made up their mind a long time ago that Hillary would be their candidate. It didn't matter what we the people wanted or how we voted. Voter fraud took place again and again. The numbers do not match mathematically, and now in addition to the email that was leaked that the OP revealed, other emails have been leaked showing evidence of this voter fraud. Is this the kind of country you want to live in? This is like having a dictator. Why vote at all? We Bernie supporters have been saying it for months and now, today, there is proof. Bernie Sanders had a right to run as a Democrat and he did. He deserves the nomination. It is the only way to beat Trump. I didn't say I wanted Hillary. Nor did I say this is how the system is supposed to work. I just said it was pretty obvious, even to an outsider, that when Hillary stepped aside for Obama she secured the 'party' baking for 2016. I also stated that IMO Bernie miscalculated becoming a democrat to try to win, He would have fared much better throwing his hat in the ring as an independant right about now. No, this isn't how I want the system to work, but it's how it works. The party elite have controlled whom I can choose from for too long. Frankly I'm shocked that Trump secured the nomination despite that. Flabbergasted. Maybe the republicans really are falling apart In my opinion you are pretty much saying the same thing with different words. I've been a Democrat since 1978 when I turned 18 years old. It wasn't obvious to me that when Hillary stepped aside for Obama she secured the "party" backing for 2016. Who is the party anyway? It is made up of the voters and members of that party. I sure didn't back her up. I've never wanted her to be President. So no it wasn't obvious to all of the party members. It is your opinion that Bernie miscalculated becoming a Democrat to try to win. He had every right to and he is a very intelligent man. I'm sure it was the right choice for him. The problem with being an independent is you don't get to participate in the debates. So how would he have done better as an independent vs. a Democrat? Right now he is still a candidate as a Democrat. He has not conceded. You say, "No, this isn't how I want the system to work, but it's how it really works. The party elite have controlled whom I can choose from for too long." It isn't at all what I was saying. The DNC didn't just choose who I chose from. They decided who won. Plain and simple. There was massive voter fraud in several states. There was a complete media blackout on Bernie Sanders. This happens in 3rd world countries. It shouldn't be happening here in the USA. But it did. The leaked emails that were just released prove this.

They couldn't see their hands if they were in front of their faces Lauren. When faced with actual hard evidence that their darling Hillary Clinton and the DNC committed voter fraud (something we Bernie Sanders supporters have been telling them for months) what do they do? They deflect it by asking about leaked emails from the RNC and where are those? Who cares? You've just been given hard evidence about a candidate that's been caught committing voter fraud! What are you going to do with it? If it were me and it was about a candidate I liked I'd do more research and seriously reconsider my other options. Yes, even if that candidate were Bernie Sanders. I'd be looking around for a new choice to vote for. I wouldn't be deflecting the question by asking about emails for the Republicans!

This leak makes the DNC look bad but I don't see the big deal. Really, I think the party leaders should be able to chose the candidate they want for their party. A lot of people are complaining about their primary vote not counting, but that's not the way it was set up to work. The primary system only came about a hundred years ago. Before that, the party leaders met together and picked their guy and the voters decided in November. Constitutionally speaking, voters have no say in a party's candidate, the party gets to decide. If you don't like the candidate a party puts forth then don't vote for them.
If the DNC wanted Hillary, they should be able to nominate Hillary. If the RNC didn't want Trump, they shouldn't have him forced on them against their will.

This happens in 3rd world countries. It shouldn't be happening here in the USA. But it did. The leaked emails that were just released prove this. Heck, I haven't been a democrat in years and I wasn't really a democrat just wanted to vote in primary. Of course the party elite chose whom you can chose from ( at least in the DNC -they chose Hillary so you can choose her or Trump. But that's not my fault. And up until this year the RNC chose who you could choose from. Not sure how they botched that up this year but kudos to trump for beating the system. Look, I'm sure your disappointed but if you've been a democrat since 1978 then it's your system that allowed this. It hasnt worked how it was supposed to in years. I'm sorry that's a shock to you. But exactly what did you think super delegates were for if not to control the party from the whims of the rank n file voters? I can't think of any other purpose to have super delegates. If you didn't think Hillary secured the backing of the elite power brokers when she stepped aside then why do you think she stepped aside so early? She stepped aside long before Obama had the nom secured because the DNC elite power brokers had already chosen their candidate and it wasn't her. So she can make a deal, step aside, and wait her turn or end her political career. I don't blame her, she knew how the system worked. Do I have proof? No I couldn't hack my way out of a paper bag much less find evidence of that. So I guess you can say it's my opinion. But it seemed pretty obvious when it went down. And all the news outlets were saying that she was stepping down and she would try again. So to me it seemed obvious. What else would it mean? Yes Bernie had 'the right' to join and run as a democrat but it is my opinion that he miscalculated. And he did, look at the emails. He set himself up to loose by trying to depend on the rank and file in a party that has super delegates and power brokers. So yes I think he made a mistake. Heck this is why so many American have been so disappointed in the system for years. Because none of it has been 'real'. It's all been controlled by the party elite. We get to pick the lesser evil that a bunch of rich power brokers wanted. I guess Betnie thought he could change from the inside but how does one do that when the vote of the super delegates are controlled by the money and power of the elite? You seem so angry at me. All I did was point out what I've observed from the side lines. I didn't create the system. I didn't manipulate the system. I only vote every November and some primaries. That's my only contribution. I don't really get why you seem so angry with me?

I'm not making it as an excuse either. If your party people were tasked with winning/succeeding would you not research/discuss/employ all avenues you could? And you and the others can stop with the "frankly amazed that it does bother any of you..." I'm sure that it bothers us plenty, but just because we don't show our outrage in every post or thread doesn't mean it's not there in some way. Kinda like the same way many on the others won't denounce Trump.

Voter fraud, also known as vote fraud, election fraud, and electoral fraud, refers to the specific offenses of fraudulent voting, impersonation, perjury, voter registration fraud, forgery, counterfeiting, bribery, destroying already cast ballots, and a multitude of crimes related to the electoral process.Nov 8, 2012
I don't see the emails I have read being voter fraud.

It costs the party millions of dollars, not mention the states. And for what? The illusion that the people actually have a say in who represents their party. The back-room dealing and power grabs are exactly what the modern primary system is supposed to avoid. I guess we're back to the early 1900's in that regard. More and more, I hope this year's election breaks the backs of the major parties.

Why else have super delegates at all if it isn't to counterbalance what the rank n file democrats vote if it's not what the 'party' meaning the elite power brokers ) wants. What other purpose could there be for 'super delegates'?' The RNC are stuck with the votes tabulated on primary days from legally registered voters according to the rules in each state and the rules on how the delegates may vote. The rules are clear ahead of time for each party ( though the republicans made an effort to change the after the fact. )

There was a reason the Democrats came up with super delegates. However with a Hillary lead of 3m+ voters over Sanders I don't believe the super delegates played much of a roll in this election.
With that big of a lead there would be no need for any kind of voter fraud to insure that Hillary would get the nomination. And if there had been voter fraud to generate such a large lead it would have involved a lot of players in many states that would have made it almost impossible to keep it a secret.
I also believe when one actually looked at the supposed incidents of voter fraud what they found was human error by the poll workers because there were not enough folks, lack of training, lack of funds, and old equipment. And from the voters because they didn't take the time to do what was necessary to vote. Oh yes then there was the group who wanted to make all the Democratic primaries open so anyone could vote for the Democratic Nominee. That I'm against because after all it's the Democratic nominee that is being selected so that being the case that person should be elected by Democrats.
It's unfortunate those emails were written and exposed. But at the end of the day, with a 3m+ lead over Sanders, I don't think they had much to do with the final outcome. Now if the lead had been a million or less then maybe there would be something to talk about.
I honestly think Sanders and his supporters are looking for a fight and they are being edged on by the Republicans to take attention away from Trump.
Now if the circumstances were different and Sanders was the nominee I know us Hillary supporters would have mumbled a lot but would support the Democratic Nominee. Just like Hillary and her supporters did in 2008. As one of those supporters I did a lot of mumbling but I understood that if you are a Democrat it's important to have a Democrat in the White House. And not always is your guy or gal going to win. So I didn't sit home on Election Day, and I didn't vote for some third party candidate. I voted for President Obama and never regretted it. I just hope the Sanders supporters understand that any chance of pushing Sanders agenda requires there be a Democrat in the White House to work with Sanders and Warren to push the progressive agenda. If not it will die. In fact I believe any gains the Democrats may have made will be eliminated if there is a Republican in the White House with a Republican controlled Congress.

That does not look good. I think what the Democrat party did was underhanded, but I have no doubts the Republicans tried the same thing with Trump. What I don't like is the bullying. Telling people they better tow the party line or else doom and gloom will happen. I'm not thrilled with either candidate, but it's a personal choice. It's insulting, no matter what side is doing the shaming. Just because someone doesn't pick the candidate someone else wants, does not automatically make them stupid.

I don't believe in the crap platform the GOP put out and I sure as he'll won't vote for anybody who has no idea how to be diplomatic when relating to other countries. I haven't decided if I will vote for Johnson or Clinton, I will not vote for trump, it doesn't matter what Clinton, someone working for her, or the Democrats do between now and then. Get a Republican candidate that is truly for smaller government, instead of only smaller in certain areas, and I m8ght come back to the party. Until then, I will not vote for a republican presidential candidate

I guess you missed the fact that I'm not a progressive and I think the propaganda they put out is pretty silly, overblown, and overdramatic. You don't seriously think they are ever going to print anything but bad things about everything not progressive, do you?
