Look at all the fabulous pages. I'm a little jealous as I haven't had any time. I will leave love after this post. scrapincin, I'm very sick of the heat and humidity, as heat is one of dd's triggers. We also don't have ac. We'll put it in, but it wasn't on the list as a priority. Usually it's only less than a month that you even need it. Like today and yesterday were only 79 and like 43% humidity so the house isn't hot. But it's still warm in the sun if you wanted to swim or such, but you could also be comfortable just relaxing in the shade. It'll be hot and humid again this week. We get critters that eat off our flowers too. But better the flowers than my fruit. we had a town festival yesterday. We live in a very small town so it's not really much, but it was still lots of fun. Today, I ended up taking the laundry in again, just a few loads got it finished before 8:30am service. woo hoo! After service was the grocery store, when DH called to say that my dishwasher stopped working. The fuse blew and when he went to flip it, it sparked. So that's a call in to our electrician. But he doesn't want to do that until the basement is clean. UGH! (Of course, who gets stuck doing all of the dishes in the interim!!! - even when he says, no we'll all be pitching in.) I immediately turned my cart around to go to the paper product aisle and bought 160 paper plates, 2 sets of paper bowls, 2 sets of smaller plates and a large set of cutlery. Came home and ended up doing dishes (they had done a few, but they hadn't touched the inside of the dw which was full of dirty dishes.) Yeah, I knew who was going to get stuck with them. I'm hoping it's our electric circuit and not the appliance. Ok, off of here.

Happy Monday! I hope you all are doing well today. We had a nice weekend. Dh and I stayed up to see all the Rio opening ceremonies. Boy was it festive and beautiful. I just love the Olympics and plan to watch lots of it. One of my favorite sports to watch is track and field. MY dh's god-sister is Allyson Felix, multi-Olympic winner. She will be competing I think in the 200 and 400 meter races. Fingers crossed she wins. Keep you eye out for her. I didn't make it to that M's card class last week but maybe I will go to one of the upcoming ones. I still got cupcakes to make when the weather cools off. scrapincin and LisaDV I hear ya about the heat. I am not a big fan either but the good news is it is almost over. I just hate how it gets in the way of some of my baking and outdoor activities. You ladies have really been scrapping! Good going! I gotta get some of my pics printed again. The last batch I got weren't clear so maybe I can figure out what to do better. Will check back later. Going over to the gallery to leave some praise.

Sounds like you ladies had a busy weekend. Just same old, same old here. Got quite a bit of freezing done, so that is out of the way. Feeling a little dozy today, but did manage to finish a couple of pages. My dgd won a prize at the Calgary Stampede, and chose what she called a "poop hat", a hat in the image of the "Pile of cr*P" emoji. The kids had fun with it. She wore it a lot, and then they played a game of keep it up on the trampoline, and played some kind of modified hide & seek with it as well. Hi, everyone. LisaDV , I am sorry it's so hot and muggy there. Heat is a trigger for my DD's abd. migraines too. She and her family are in Michigan right now and plan to go up to Mackinac Island before they come home. DSIL's parents live in Kawkawlin so they are visiting them. I hope Em can tolerate the heat. I hear you on the dishwasher. I was in bed with a pregnancy for 3 and a half months and after considering a dishwasher for some time, DH bought one because he had to do the cooking and dishes! LOL! kellyr21, I watched a bit of the Opening Ceremonies but had company come from out of town and that ended that. Good luck on your cupcakes. Let us know when you take the Michael's card class. scrapincin , love your double pager. That Maggie's got a lot on the ball. She must be related to her grandma! I'm sorry your critters got your flowers. Are they big critters like squirrels, or little critters like worms? Either way, how dare they take the heads off your pretty blooms? I haven't had a chance to use the Sil. much this weekend. Steve's brother and wife came from St. George and we spent the time visiting. I am still working on the classes at scrapbook.com. I try to do each step a couple of times after each class. It's coming along. grammadee , I was thrilled to see you scrapping between teaching and canning/freezing etc! Love your layouts! Left you some love. maribeth , the Silhouette classes (free) at Scrapbook.com actually show the Sil cutting. It doesn't show a lot, but I noticed that lesson 4 and 5 showed it cutting. It would give you an overview, too, of the way the program works. I love your cute black and white layout. Very clever design. Left you love. For those of you who remember Tina, I got a note saying her Mal is starting college and Olivia has graduated from college and has a good job. Time goes by so quickly. I think her username here is @happyshinytina. I also hear from Toni and Theresa occasionally. How I miss the old 2peas! I'm glad we have this board to take it's place. I have finished another layout, but I don't really like it. I should have stopped adding embellishments! It's too cluttered for my taste, but I am not going to tear it apart now. LisaDV that is so frustrating about your dishwasher! Too funny, nylene about how your dh decided you needed one. In our first house, we built the cupboards to include a place for a dishwasher, and even bought one, but the plumbing was not hooked up for it, and dh didn't think it was a priority--until I got an infection in my hand and he had to do the dishes! I think it took him less than 3 days to get someone in to plumb it in !

Hello Everyone Busy weekend, difficult one as well, hubby's brother has entered Hospice, and on Saturday I took hubby to see him. He had only a few moments of clarity, but hubby felt like he recognized him a couple of times. It was a very difficult and sad day for my husband. Sunday we spread the last of the rocks we had, and yesterday he started the exterior painting. grammadee , nylene - lovely layouts, will leave love a bit later nylene - thanks for the tip on sil class at scrapbook.com I will check it out. Madi & Me - sorry you didn't go to your Michael's class, hope you get to attend the next one. grammadee - too funny about the dishwasher - when we built our house we did not put one in, and we don't miss it a bit. Neither one of us ever had one, so we never figured we needed one. Our kitchen is really small and a dishwasher would take up all our under cabinet space. Here is another page that I completed on July 31 - My husbands ganddaughter who moved to Finland about a year ago. Happy Tuesday, ladies! Love your pages, maribeth ! What papers did you use on that grey/white/blue one? Beautiful. I am getting ready to head off to work this morning. This is a key pickup day, so hoping that goes smoothly this time. It is raining this morning, so the students will not be happy if they have to wait outside for me to get the door unlocked. After work we are meeting a friend for supper. She lost her husband a couple of weeks ago. He was a very good friend of my dh's. He had suffered a stroke a year ago and never recovered. Our TV satellite bill is up electronically and the shipping for my new PVR is on it. Hoping that means there will be a package for me at Purolator this afternoon and I can get it activated when I get home. Have a great day!

maribeth, I'm so sorry. It's always so hard to see our loved ones suffering. Prayers for peace for all of you. I just love your brochure displays. nylene & grammadee, your stories of your dh's quickly getting dw after they had to do the work reminded me of the time we redid a bathroom. DH put up new drywall and we taped and mudded together. I followed his instructions and ended up applying with my hands because I just got a better feel for how thick I was doing it. When it came time to sand, DH was at work. My section went 1, 2, 3. His section... After several hours, I called him and said, can I use a sander on this? Do we have one? He told me no on both counts. I said it I was leaving it for him because he put it on way too thick. He came home sanded for 20 minutes and then went to Home Depot and bought a sander. lol. Men!! nylene, if your dd is here now we've had a reprieve from the humidity this weekend. So maybe it'll hold while she's here. I love your page and it doesn't look overly embellished to me. kellyr21, how exciting that you get to root for someone you know in the Olympics. I'll keep my fingers crossed for her to win. Yesterday was eye appointments so we went early and stopped by the county fair and ran errands before the appts. Another good day. But after 3 days of being out and gone, I'm so ready to just be at home! I'll definitely leave love later today for all of the gorgeous layouts. Hope everyone is having a great day!

maribeth, I am sorry for sadness you must feel over BIL's condition. Praying for peace for you and your family. I love your pages! I hope this mojo stays. I love seeing your work. LisaDV, I totally agree about MEN! But honestly I don't know what I would do without my good husband. I got a call from Em today. She was on Mackinac Island and Alex was tired of tours and just wanted to watch the soldiers, so they were sitting in the shade. She said it is really quite nice. It wasn't muggy and she was doing great. Your visit to the County Fair sounds fun. Ours starts next week so I need to get the kids' exhibits ready. grammadee, I hope your package comes today. How is the teaching going? How long does this assignment last? Waving to everyone else. I am helping DH hang some decorative items (?) in his shop. He is framing some of the photos of the kids and grandkids working with wood. Be back later. Have a great day.

Good evening ladies. I hopped on here to post my layout for the Bonus Challenge. I will post here also for you gals to check it out. It was fun...I had made a couple of these once before but this time I used richer colors. Maribeth- so sorry to hear about your BIL. I hope all goes well with him. I will keep yuou and yours in my prayers. Thanks to everyone for your kind words on my layout about Arbor Day. I have been watching the Olympic coverage every night. It has been so hot here today and it is after 9 and still 85 out there. It sounds like we have a pop up storm starting as I am hearing thunder. Not much else going on here this week. Bob went to the farm for a few days. Well I am going to get off of here until this storm passes. BBL. Springtime by Cindy Blair, on Flickr

Good Morning Ladies grammadee - I am terrible about keeping track of products I use, sorry I don't know which ones they were - I just grab and go. nylene , scrapincin , LisaDV - Thank you for your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. I am hurting so for my husbands pain right now. I know that his brother will be out of pain and suffering soon, but it is always hard when someone passes. scrapincin - love your blooms - GORGEOUS, off to leave love for your page. Here is another set from my July 31 scrapathon - I really do better scrapping many pages at one time, I just can't seem to get motivated to do just one layout. Great to see more creations in the Gallery and on this thread. I hope to get crafty again next week: justjac and I have discussed setting up a play date at her house before she goes back to work. Today is another work day for me; just today and tomorrow, then the regular instructor gets back from vacation. Before work, I need to stop at the hospital for some blood work. While there, I will drop off an adult colouring book for a friend who is in there recovering from a back injury. Sorry I missed the mention of you BIL, maribeth . Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.

Hey Pokeys. You have been doing such wonderful pages. I left some love in the gallery. maribeth I'm so sorry to hear about your BIL. I haven't been scrapping lately, but I'm hoping grammadee makes it to visit next week. I have been house cleaning and doing laundry. Today I have to drink some gross stuff because tomorrow I'm getting a colonoscopy due to my age and my family history. I don't have any issues or anything. This weekend we're heading out of town to visit my family. On the way, I get to hit a scrappy garage sale that I heard about in a Facebook group I belong to. Very excited.

Hi ladies! Boy it is storming here! It is only 6PM and it is really dark out there. I got a new nickname here-Chatterbox_and that really fits! LOL I hope to spend some fun time in my scrap room tonight either working on a layout or making some cards. I was thinking that Christmas is coming and I need to be thinking how I want my cards to look. Need to look thru my stamps and that to see if I can come up with ideas.
Justjac and Grammadee sounds like you two are going to have a very fun time next week scrapping together. I am happy for both of you. It is fun when you can share time with someone who loves what you are doing as much as you.
Waving a big hello to Jana, Kelly, Nylene, Maribeth and Lisa. Hope you all have a nice evening. Oh got my hair cut back to my old favorite style today-same one as in my avatar. Dealing with longer hair is just not for me!

Has everyone been enjoying the Olympics, my poor Tennis ladies have not done well and are out of the games. A big boo whoo here! I am enjoying the soccer however as we are still in (ladies). I didn't get a chance to watch any of the golf I really had wanted to do that. I did get to see some of the syncnro diving. I am not in to the swimming and gymnastics that they show in prime time. I lost interest in gymnastics after the "artistic" part went out of the floor exercise. Now it is just all about the power moves, I like the rhythmic gymnastics which occur later in the Olympics. nylene - I noticed your question on the comments of one of my pages about the font used - That is the Large Letters die from Stampin Up. I love using that. Again, I should be able to cut any font I wish with my Pazzles, but it tears every single time. That is why I am so interested in finding out about the consistency of the Silhouette Cameo. I tool a look at the Cameo 3 just released and it is really enticing me to get one. I just want to see it cut, if someone just did videos of it cutting things like alphas, doilies, etc.... so I could get a good idea of the machine. Also, do you find your paper sticks to the mat so much so that it is hard to remove and tears? Here is another Courthouse page from my July 31 scrapathon Marshall County Courthouse by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr and another brochure page brochure - Montville Tail by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr Depending on what happens this weekend with my husbands brother will determine if I am able to devote myself to scrapping or not. Have an absolutely tremendous day ladies.

Thoughts are with you today, justjac . In my experience, the prep is more uncomfortable than the procedure itself, because they sedate you. Here's to a [negative] result! And hope you have a good trip home. Looking forward to our play date, but need to evaluate what needs to be done--and is planned for me--around here before I can commit to a specific day. Thanks for sharing your pages, maribeth . Thoughts with you and your dh's family. Glad you are having some fun in your scraproom, scrapincin ! I am afraid to open the portion of my storage that houses all things Christmas: it all may explode out of there, and I won't get any other projects done. I like to keep that stuff stored away until October... If I lived in a larger centre, I would definitely be signing up for art classes, kellyr21 . There have been some cool ones advertised in Edmonton, but it is just too far away... I need to make a card for my brother tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest. Tomorrow afternoon, we are leaving to go to his 80th birthday party on Saturday. It is a surprise, so we are planning to stay at dd's house Friday night. And because we had gc's to Jubilations dinner theatre, the four of us plan to go to that Friday evening. So a busy weekend ahead of us. But first: a day of work. Have a great day, Pokeys!

I hope I can remember everything I wanted to comment on. You have all been so busy. I am loving (and leaving love) in all your gallery projects. scrapincin, I think we had the same kind of storm you had. Came fast, hit hard, tons of rain and then gone. The sky was so black at 6 pm. Glad to see you scrapping. When do you leave for your scrap retreat? I hope you have things all ready to do lots and lots of pages or cards. I'm not thinking of Christmas yet. I only sent a few of my cards I made last year, so I think I'll just send those to the people who didn't get cards from me. maribeth, I wish you luck on deciding on a new cutting machine. Have you tried a new blade and slowing down your current machine? I don't have trouble with the Silhouette mats. The Cricut mats were terrible. I had to touch them to a bath towel before I used them to help un-sticky them. So far I've had NO sticking problems with my new mat. I usually cut something every day so it is getting a lot of use. Hugs to you and your husband through your ordeal. You are in my prayers. grammadee and justjac, I am jealous of your crafting day planned for next week. You are both such prolific scrappers, I'm expecting a flood in the gallery and this thread. I love that. Best wishes to each of you on your hospital tests! LisaDV, I hope your weekend goes well and that you travel safely! kellyr21, my sweet adopted daughter, I hope you find time to be creative. I have been showing all your girl paintings to my DGD. She has an eye for art, but has no training yet. I sent her off to Michigan with a sketch book and an instructional drawing book. She loves your work! Sending hugs and good wishes to knutschen, sbartist, shinyhappytina, and all of our other Pokeys through the years who check in occasionally! What a great group of scrappers we are acquainted with. I will post my latest layout tomorrow. I'm off to visit my friend who just got home today following a knee replacement.

Good evening ladies! Raining here again this evening. We got about 3 hours of rain last night-the kind that helps not the hard run off type. nylene- in answer to your question about the crop it is not until Sept 29th so I have lots of time. It is a bit expensive but I am going anyway. I am going to take a a stamping class as that is a craft I want to get better at. The Stamp and Scrapbook Expo. I guess they travel around the country. But I am planning on making page kits to take with me. I will be there 3 days. But home at night. It is nice as for the classes they tell you what you will need to take with you. There will a lot of vendors there also. I was trying out making some little felt snowmen that you cut on your Big Shot then sew them together and stuff them with cotton balls. They are to be added to a card but I think they would be cute on the tree. I watched a video yesterday about making 10 cards in 20 minutes. What a great idea! It was on you tube. I have been watching the olympics when I have the chance. I am totally enjoying the swimming! Well I am going to go back into my scraproom and try to get something accomplished!

Good evening all. We finally got some rain. It's sort of hit or miss drizzle now. But it rained for a good 10 minutes. I don't know what is with this place. If we lived north or south we'd get much more. But here.... (head shaking). I'm jealous of all the rain your getting Cindy.
Jacqueline, hope your test was negative and all is good. and that you and Gramma Dee can get together next week.
Gramma Dee hope you have a great weekend.

Fantabulous Friday (okay it's a made up word), but I am glad it is Friday. It has been a difficult week for my bosses. They had a personally stressful week, nothing work related, but because I have worked there for so long and I am pretty close to my bosses, I could feel their pain. They both need a good weekend, and I hope they will both take advantage of the weekend and get some stress relief. @scrampincin - do you have the link the that card video - I would be really interested in 10 cards in 20 minutes - glad you are enjoying the Olympics, I am too! nylene - thanks for the info on the mat, I am sure I will think about the Cameo for a while before I move on it. Look how long it took me to purchase the fuse and that was only $25.00 - LOL Thank you to everyone, @grmmadee, kellyr21 , justjac , nylene , scrapincin for your prayers and your kind words regarding my BIL. And thank you for all the love you have left for my pages. Not sure if it will be the Friday of my dreams, but it is underway. Just finished a bd card for my brother. Doing some laundry so we will have something to pack to take for our weekend. Need to get out to the garden to cut out and dig the veggies I need to put in a cooler for the dishes I need to take to the pot luck tomorrow. I am a little dozy today. Woke up at 4AM with leg pain, and now my knee is acting up. No idea why: it has been thankfully working well and painfree all summer, and I did nothing yesterday to aggravate it. Grrr... Hope it settles down soon. Last time this started up it lasted MONTHS! Hoping dh comes home from town with my pvr replacement so I can set it up to record some stuff over the weekend. When it didn't arrive on Tuesday, I called Shaw and found out it was being shipped from Montreal and the ETA was today. Hoping they were right... Love your pages, maribeth . Will leave some comments in the Gallery. Hope you and your bosses can get some stress reduction over the weekend. Here is my card. Celebrate by Gramma Dee, on Flickr "See" you ladies on Sunday!

Happy Scrafting Saturday to all of you - I am off an running to get some scrafting done. I will be back later to post my usual two projects from the 31st, and hopefully I can post a current project with that as well scrapincin - thanks for the video link. Obviously I don't have that exact stamp set, but bet it can be applied to another just have to put my mind to it. @sbartitst - Hello, hope you get a chance to do some scrapping and would love to see your projects. nylene - such a warm and wonderful friend you are, but isn't that what it is all about, we should be there for those in times of need, but also remember to enjoy times of fun with them as well during our well days. grammadee - hoping your paid has subsided....that really must put a damper on your day as you are ALWAYS up to something and so active. LisaDV - thank you for your thoughts of my bosses and myslef. My stress is greatly reduced right now, I just hope they get a chance to breath this weekend, as I said they had a very difficult week (personally) and I really felt for them. They are two very very nice men. kellyr21 - waving hello, I bet you are out and about enjoying a beautiful summer. See you all later, and hopefully with a new project.

Good Saturday morning! I hope everyone is starting off their weekend well. Waving Hello to Bonnie-nice seeing you post! Also waving to Jana and Tina. I actually scrapped another page and I forgot to do the the Stash challenge so I guess I will have to do another one! LOL The one I did today I have been wanting to do for a while. This lady used to collect buttons, match them they make designs or pictures with them hand sewing each and every button on. When you see them you will be as amazed as I was. Nylene-that was so typical of you to sit with your neighbor until her family could get there. That is just who you are and that is why we all love you so much! You earned your wings a long time ago. I am so loving everyone's work! I think I have left everyone love in the gallery. If I missed someone I so apologize. Ok I will stop back later to see if anyone has been around. Happy Saturday! I hope you all are having a nice day. I have been enjoying the Olympics. Looks like Thursday night was the day of "Simone's"! LOL! I am a Simone so of course I am a little bias. LOL! So I hope swimmer Simone Manuel wins more later this weekend. Now track and field starts and I am excited to see that too. We did go to our last park concert on Wednesday and it was nice. I just can't believe it is over. It went by fast but just glad I was able to enjoy them. Creatively, I have been working on my painting I started like a month ago. This one has been hard so I am slowing down and letting the painting develop when it is time. So Zen right? LOL! Also, I hope to finish my mil's mini album card I started a while ago. nylene - You are so sweet! Yes, I almost forgot I am your adopted dd. Also, so sweet your dgd likes my art. I hope she keeps playing around with different mediums and having fun. scrapincin - So cool to hear you are getting your Christmas card ideas together. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Football is here and Ron is excited! LOL! Tonight will be our new Rams' first game here in Los Angeles. So I know the fans here are gonna be so happy the Rams' are back. When they get the new stadium finished in a few years, it will be right next to my in-laws house. Not sure how they will feel about the game day traffic but it is still pretty cool that all this will be in their neighborhood. maribeth - Yes, I do plan to have fun this weekend. The weather is supposed to get hotter but hopefully it won't interfere with my plans too much. Glad to see you scrappin' too. Waving hi to all you gals and have a nice weekend!

Happy Saturday afternoon! scrapincin , left you love. I love how you've used the buttons and am amazed by the button artwork. grammadee , hope you got your part and can watch and record your shows. I left you love in the gallery on your cute card. maribeth , ooh I can't wait to see what you've created today. So glad you are getting some time to play. kellyr21, that is very Zen of you. lol. Actually, I think it's very talented of you to be able to recognize when to let it flow and when to let it go. Probably why you are so good. Today is a wonderful day. 1. We finally received some rain! Off and on since the night. Looks to be clearing now. 2. Don spent all day fixing my washer. I'm testing it now! Fingers crossed. 3. We put up a 2nd hummingbird feeder closer to the front porch last weekend. Over the last 2-3 days, they have discovered it. This morning we put in new "nectar" and I think I finally got some good photos. Not to mention they were just out in abundance with the rain. So much fun to watch. They are my favorite bird. 4. I started a project that I'd been putting off. Always feels good to start something you've been avoiding. ha. --So far no crafting for me, but still a great day. Hope everyone is enjoying their day!!!

Good Sunday evening! We are back home again, trying to get reorganized after a couple of days away. My SHAW receiver arrived Friday morning, so I was able to hook it up, package up the old one, and drop that off at Purilator to go back to Shaw. It was nice to come home today and watch some of MY shows. Hoping you all had a great weekend and got some scrapping done if that is what you planned, or had a chance to make new memories. My knee is still achy, but so far today no sharp pains. Hoping to get down to the garden to morrow to see what has happened there since I've been gone, but after getting home today I just relaxed. Also hoping to sort through my photos in the morning, and start putting together some papers & embellies that might work with them so I can get some pages done here this week and be able to pack up a small shoulder bag to take to justjac 's when I go there. Will check into the Gallery and leave some love there.
