Well, I thought I'd typed an explanation but it didn't show up. (And sorry the picture is so darned big.)
I bought the mug above for my husband. And later bought myself one with a different pithy saying from the same company. They make me smile every time I pour us a cup of coffee.

My new favorite mugs are the Full Circle Exchange ones, sold at walmart around Mother's Day. They were designed by Melody Ross and have positive, uplifting messages on them. The one in front of me at the moment says "life is beautiful"

I had a really colorful one from New York that I LOVED. It chipped and cracked and was a sad day when I had to say goodbye.

I have two. The one at work is one I got from my middle school best friend, so it's about 30 years old. It's got a koala bear and balloons on it, and says "Have an Up kind of day!" I should put it away so nothing happens to it. It does have a small crack on the handle. My second favorite that I use at home is actually a Christmas mug. It's beige with these colorful ornate ornaments painted on it. But what I like the most about it is that it's big and round, almost like a bowl you could eat soup or cereal out of it. It's huge. But more often than not, I usually just use my Tervis's. I have about four of the mugs. One with Albert (in my avatar), one with a colorful peacock and two plain purple ones I got half off at Publix one day. I had Albert, but somehow he disappeared and I am not sure when that happened. He was here one day and gone the next. I had him since before I left Gainesville, and poof, one day it was just...gone.

My favorite is one I got from Hallmark many years ago. I love the shape of it, and it says, "I'm tired and I want a cookie."
The other ones I have that I like that you can still buy are ones I got at Barnes and Noble with inspirational quotes on them (they also have magnets, journals, candles, by the same manufacturer)... they're HUGE.

My favourite mug used to be one that I got from my son's school, for volunteering. It is a nice large size, and great for my morning coffee. But we went to Disney in May, and I was on the hunt for a new mug. So now my favourite mug is this one:

My old one was a big 20 ounce Starbucks limited edition one I got from Target a few years ago. It was white with a huge handle and little gray icons all over it with a red heart and the word STARBUCKS in black down the side. Did you check ebay or amazon? Maybe there's still one out there!

I have have two favorite mugs, and they're my favorite mostly because of their size. The snowman one I use mostly for iced coffee, and my mom got it at hobby lobby. And the other one is kind of special. My uncle was a Lt. Commander in the navy and was stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln, and while he was stationed there, my dad went on a tiger cruise and picked that mug up. It has real gold on it (so don't put it in the microwave! Found that out the hard way lol) Anthropologie has really cute mugs, I have a few from there that I like, but I don't use them as much.

As silly as it sounds my favorite coffee mugs are ones I got at Michaels after Christmas for a buck a piece. I picked up 4 or 5 of them several years ago and still have most of them. They are just normal ceramic mugs with Christmas designs but they also had little lids for them. I use the lids as spoon rests or tea bags holder.

My favourite mug is 27 years old (ok, mugs, I bought 4 of them, but the other three is hidden away in the attic) when I was on vacation on Jersey (the channel island, not the state). Perfect shape, perfect size, perfect everything. Love it!

I like the really big ones for work - so I can do two times through the Kuerig. However, I broke one of them a couple of weeks ago - thank you for the suggestions. I have a few that I love at home - a couple from Shakespeare in the Park, a couple handmade, a Starbucks, and a Daz Bog - but none are big enough for the office

My favorite is a ginormous green mug with a big snowflake on it. I LOVE the handle. Handle size is essential..gotta have enough room so you don't burn your knuckles. Any time I consider buying a new mug, the first thing I do is gauge knuckle space.

Michael's carried them for a couple of years but last year they only had the cups themselves with no lids. Thankfully I didn't need any more as I had already purchased several the years before. The last ones I bought have an adorable penguin and the lid is his hat! These are my favorites for hot tea:)

I have two - both from WDW: a big green one that looks like Mike Wosowski and one that has Cinderella on it and says "once a princess always a princess." I use the Mike Wosowski one every morning! It's nice and big and adorable.

I don't drink coffee but this is my favorite for tea. I got it at Pier One. (sorry for the terrible phone photo). eta: one thing I love about it is that it's big so I can sit on the couch and drink tea and it's not near the top of the mug so I'm less likely to spill it.

My favorite are some plain white latte sized mugs that my family got me for Christmas several years ago. These cups are REALLY lightweight!
Last year they bought me a large latte mug that had a thumb rest at the top of the handle and it became my new favorite but I chipped a big chunk out of it putting it into the dishwasher. :/ They tried to get one to replace it as a surprise for me but it's not quite as good as the first one with the thumb rest. So I just go back to my plain white, lightweight latte mugs.

My favorite is a Pink Floyd one my brother drank his coffee from every morning. When he passed away my niece and nephew wanted me to have it. I don't drink from it everyday but when I feel like it may be a particularly tough day at work, that is the mug I grab.
Before the Pink Floyd mug it was a Tigger mug I bought at WDW on my honeymoon 21 years ago.

I'm still using the white plastic, insulated 2Peas mug... with lid!... that I bought from there years ago. Actually, bought 4 and only have 2 left; eventually the lid loses its tightness and they start leaking. I use one for iced water and one for my coffee. Love 'em because they keep the contents cold/hot so much longer. And, my coffee spillage has dramatically decreased! lol
In the meantime, the company that sold them went out of business (Aladdin) and it took me forever to find a place that still had that kind of mug. I bought two so when these go, I'm still set...for awhile anyway!
