LOVE this! Yeah!!! Congratulations. Our second child came by way of a very similar story. IVF- got pregnant, lost that pregnancy. 1st cycle after period came back I was SICK. Really sick, and my belly hurt. And all those other stupid pregnancy symptoms - just like you. So I took the leftover pregnancy test because what the heck, it's there. Boom. Pregnant. Went to the ER (it was a holiday) as I had been told this would happen and it would be ectopic and I had to seek immediate care. Panic ensues. Off to the ER. They do an ultrasound and the lady pulls the machine close to her. Obviously a bad sign. Trying not to freak out when the PA comes in the room in tears. Oh dear. He finally gets it out that "there's a baby in your uterus!." He was SO excited to tell me. I'm still in shock that she is here. My story isn't quite as dramatic, as there was no IVF and my ovaries were still working. But it took us almost 3 years to get DS--it was $10,000 the month we conceived and DS was a captain at the time. Making what? $3,000 a month? A year later, we started the process again. I miscarried and then took a left over pregnancy test because I wanted to take some cold medicine. Imagine my surprise when the stick turned blue! And it earned an immediate trip to the ER, as I was diabetic and on progesterone suppositories for the first trimester of that 1st successful pregnancy. They were so excited for me in the ER, even though they had never seen me before. They literally had me camp out in the OB office the next day, as the protocol at that base was to wait until 13 weeks to begin prenatal care. Of course the OBs refused to see me and refused to refer me back to my RE, as "the problem may just take care of itself". Meaning that I would miscarry. I may or may not have had a huge crying jag meltdown in that office about 3 pm, with about 20 people watching it all go down. But I did see an OB that day and got my referral. And DD is now 17 and a senior and absolutely beautiful. I just love your story PNWMom . I've been thinking about you since I read your first story. I wish you only the best.

Thought about you today...how are you doing??? PNWMom I'm doing great, thanks for asking! Now 13 1/2 weeks along, and we have all the old lady scans and tests back and know that there are no chromosome or other problems going on, and we are expecting a little girl. Still wrapping our minds around things, and have *totally* blown the minds of friends and family, but all is well. Here's our 12ish week scan showing our little one sucking her thumb, all laid back with her feet kicked up.

How absolutely wonderful in every way!!! And you're half way through the 1st trimester already. I have a beautiful IVF miracle and getting ready for my frozen embryo transfer on Monday! I always hoped my pregnancy would kick start my ovaries and I'd have a natural miracle pregnancy.
