I think the dialogue finally hit its stride in Fall. I was entertained enough through the first three seasons, but watching Fall last night was the first time I laughed out loud at the banter. And if they do a season two, I'm in. I guess I'm a lifer.

My sister and I watched "Winter" yesterday. We stopped it halfway through and both said "THIS is what she did with it when she finally got to do it her way?" To me- it had none of the charm the series had. The camera work was horrible - made it feel amateurish. Every character seemed to be impersonating their former selves- the dialogue seemed forced all the time. And Lauren Graham looked uncomfortable in her own skin the whole show. If I didn't know she had done this show for 6 seasons, I'd say she was a cut rate actress that was brought in to replace the original. It was so disappointing. I'm sort of afraid to watch the last three. I was hoping it would get better- but it doesn't really sound like it. I think that the issues you are describing do start to get better as the episodes go on, although I agree that it's Fall where it's closest to how it used to be. Save

The Episodes in order of MY favorite: LOVED Fall Winter was next then Spring Summer was my least favorite. I had to take a break, and come back. But I am so glad I did!! Loved that Gypsy was also Berta the maid. Loved how Emily's character changed. Adored the DAR scene. And the wedding OMG it was perfect. The song was from their first "date", Liz and TJ's wedding. I recognized it, but was not sure where from. The last 4 words...It makes me think there might be more, but I will be ok if there is not. There was a lot of closure in this revival. I think this one was so worked up, there were a lot of unhappy fans. Just my 2 cents.

Overall I liked it, but it definitely had some rocky patches. I didn't think there was any chemistry at all between Luke and Lorelei until the final episode. I always hated the Paris character and she was even more ridiculous and over the top and I was glad when her air time was up. Parts of it were too try hard, especially some of the 'quirky' dialogue, there was just too much of it and it came at you from all sides from every character. There were way too many music/singing spots that felt like time wasting fillers.
I did like how they kept Richard in all 4 episodes often when a person dies in real life the TV show addresses it in one episode and all of the characters move on as if they were never there. The first year is a struggle when you lose someone and I like that it was reflected so honestly.
I had no idea what the final 4 words were going to be...but I can see how the writer always knew she would end with them, made perfect sense.

I finally got to see the ending and was highly disappointed seriously that was how she wanted to end the series I just felt she should have grown up by this point and been more responsible . I also felt that so much of it seemed forced. Some of the characters were still great - still loved Kirk but so many others seemed forced. I kind of hope they do another season but would understand if they didn't - I will watch if they do though. I was not a fan of the singing it just took up too much time.

I had just finished watching the entire series a few weeks ago in anticipation for this. I had watched the first season or two originally but then stopped. I agree that Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer (in that order) were my favorites. I felt the musical in Summer was too much and I tuned out. pjaye I think the lack of chemistry between Luke and Lorali played into the whole point of that line. Where were they going? Was the other happy with the other? In the end, I love loved loved Luke declaring his love for her and how he didn't want to be anywhere else. I loved the wedding. It was perfect for them. I too liked how Kirk was involved. Emily was great. I am Team Logan and like a PP mentioned, those final 4 words made Rory's conversation with Christopher make sense. Overall I enjoyed it. Didn't care for Summer but enjoyed it overall. Hoping there will be more, even if in this format. They can take what they did right and wrong and learn and grow from it.

Found some parts slow moving, the musical for example. Rory was a tad forced in the first episode. Seemed to get her banter back by the 2nd episode. Loved seeing all the characters. Missed hearing the one prep boy from school talk. Really only see him from a distance? I also would have loved to see the teacher Lorelei almost married. I liked him.
I was disappointed that Emily wasn't at the wedding. It would indicate more growth between mom and Lorelei. Otherwise I loved Emily especially with her revamping her life.
Hated the last four words. I didn't feel it rang true with the character. I did like the idea of the book.

I was pretty disappointed overall, but would still watch another season if they made one. I always loved Logan, and would really like to see what happens when he finds out Rory's pregnant. The life and death brigade scenes were some of my favorites. I was really bummed by the tiny scene that Dean was in. I knew she wouldn't end up with him, but I just wanted to see more of Jared Padalecki. I wish there had only been one scene with Jess, I never liked him at all. I always found Rory to be annoying, and these seasons did nothing to change that. As usual, she behaved like an entitled, condescending snob. The interview at the website or blog was obnoxious. Even not being able to find a job, because shockingly, she's not God's gift to journalism, doesn't knock her off her high horse. One of the things I love about Logan is that he may love her, but he doesn't fall at her feet and act like the world revolves around her like everyone else does. How could Lorelai get married without Sookie there??? I didn't know she was only going to have one scene. Why wasn't Miss Patty running the weird musical? I loved Kirk & Michel. I was glad to see so much of them. The new building Lorelai wanted to buy at the end was a good opening to have Michel back in there's another season. I felt like there was something off about Lauren Graham the entire time, and it distracted me. Emily was amazing. The scenes with the DAR were my favorite. She was hilarious calling out bullshit.
