You just know tiny hands didn't write this tweet....."Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy. Even if I don't always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views." unless they (advisers) literally spelled it out for him and he typed it in so he could say he did. But I hope it is a start. ETA I love his tweet "why didn't these people vote?" two thoughts, he wish they all did as in "what have I gotten myself into!?" and second being he's had to have seen the march ALL AROUND THE WORLD- they can't vote but it has got to make him crazy how he affected people everywhere- and not in a good way.

I don't recognize the America he talks about. While there are people out of work and people who have drug problems, I don't see the streets of every city torn apart by roving gangs. I don't see the empty, foreclosed homes that we used to have on every block. I don't see an overwhelming amount of carnage. Maybe I don't live in the same America as he does. Then again, I don't live in the penthouse of a large building with my name on it either. ^^^ I don't, either... my boyfriend thinks we live in the America Trump talks about, but I just can't see it. He thinks Obama did nothing for us as a country, and that all the ills of the nation are his fault, somehow. I am truly mystified by that. But we can't seem to talk about it in a civil manner, so for the most part, we very carefully avoid it. eta: and how the heck does he know whether any of the protesters voted or not?? "Why didn't these people vote?" that's totally nonsensical! (they DID vote; unfortunately, the electoral college voters couldn't vote the way they did.)

This was from Micheal Cohen who is special counsel to Trump:
Impressed by the number of supporters for the women's movement yesterday. Question: Were the pink hats made in the USA?

I'm glad it's all the "top executives" coming in, we wouldn't want those bottom ones...
I wonder if they will be discussing things like this?
or this?

Like father, like son. I honestly don’t know who’s loonier - Michael Flynn Sr or Michael Flynn Jr. All I know is that they’re both wackos. Between these two, they have made the following claims via tweets and re-tweets (this is only a small sampling): Obama is a jihadi who laundered money for Muslim terrorists. John Podesta participates in occult rituals that include drinking blood and other bodily fluids. Clinton is involved in child sex trafficking. Marco Rubio is a closeted gay who snorts cocaine and participates in perverted male parties. Obama exposed his you-know-what to female reporters. The only reason people voted for Obama is because he’s black. Clinton is secretly waging a war on the Catholic Church. The U.N. is plotting the establishment of a one-world government. Flynn Sr praised the book of alt-right personality Mike Cernovich who once tweeted: "Have you guys ever tried 'raping' a girl without using force? Try it. It's basically impossible. Date rape does not exist." That’s the scum being venerated by Flynn Jr as the “source he trusts”…the same scum being praised by Flynn Sr who will advise Trump on critical issues of national security. LOL. Ok. I know this is bad, but I secretly wish parts of the one about Rubio were true. He can come up to where I'm at any time.

Question: Were the pink hats made in the USA?They were very lovingly handmade in most cases. I have several friends and family who spent a great deal of time knitting. So proud of them.

My husband and I were talking about this today, the rebuttal of that was yes but where were the yarn and needles made? That will be the next argument. It's becoming a pissing match. I feel like we are all stuck in the third grade.

If that's supposed to be a Gotcha', it fails on more than one level. At one level, there's the probability that Mr. Cohen lives in a glass house manufactured in China.. And I doubt the stones he's lobbing from that house are American-made, either.

I don't find that to be too bad. We don't use operators anymore for telephones. Internet is the new form of communication. Cuts have to be made somewhere.

I doubt it's a fiscal cut. My guess is they just want to make it harder for people to communicate their ire. Paul Ryan has done something similar.
A lot of people use smartphones/laptops/computers *but* there are also a lot of people who are restricted to landlines. Also there is concern about Facebook and (I think it's called) data mining.

So that may have to do with part of it.

Hiring freeze = no NEW employees, not getting rid of the jobs for the people who are ALREADY working the phone. I have NO DOUBT that change was made to make it more difficult for people, especially a more rural, older population, or a lower-income population-- both of whom may not have adequate internet access or even none at all- to make their concerns known. (not that making your concerns known will mean anything, cause it won't-- not with this administration.)
Have you ever gone to a public library where they have banks of computers, jonda? They're not there for the fun of it. They're there so people can access the internet who can't do it at home.

I actually spend a lot of time in the library. I love books, and I love the smell of the library and the paper. I can spend a whole day in the library and completely lose track of time. In regards to the rural, older, lower-income population who may not have adequate internet access, or none at all (13%). How did they access this number without the internet?

In regards to the rural, older, lower-income population who may not have adequate internet access, or none at all (13%). How did they access this number without the internet? ummm-- by calling information? what do you mean, how did they access this number? I'm thinking some of those federal numbers might also be in that old-fashioned thing called the phone book-- which they DO still print in some areas. Or they called a local politician to ask them for the #, maybe; I don't know. But I DO know that there are OTHER ways to communicate besides the internet, and some people can NOT communicate via the internet. Again, older population, rural, etc. may not have transportation to the library to get there. No transportation = no library = no internet.
I did NOT make your point- my point was that not everyone has easy access to the internet. Some people have very LITTLE access (e.g., not EASY, therefore they probably won't even TRY to contact the White House- which is what I think they're counting on) and some people even have no access at all, depending on their circumstances.

Fast tracking so that no one can keep up without it being a full time job with a staff of 100 or more. Scary what they are doing.
