Um you don't *manufacture* wool. Manufacture the "yarn" for you in the US then. It's quite common to call the end product that one knits with, wool in the UK. I wasn't referring to the actual fleece that is sheered off the sheep. You can't knit with that! Possibly because the "yarn" that we knit with is more than likely to have a high content of wool in it. It's labelled as "wool" or " wool blend" if it's not 100% wool so we refer to it as wool. I thought the first line of my post made it clear that I was referring to the end product: The process from raw fleece to the end product which is the yarn that we knit with She could very well have dyed the yarn but was it totally processed from sheep to actual yarn to knit with?Gotcha. And yes, there are many US suppliers of everything from the raw wool to spun yarn. While I don't kniw the answer for this particular person, it would not be surprising to me if she had gone through the whole process herself. I can't believe this thread has devolved into spats over phone books & yarn.

I'm thinking maybe it's time to start going Lysistrata? If a woman doesn't want to be pregnant, can't get BC because of cost or whatever and can't have an abortion, the answer is simple - no sex. Married but don't want a kid and can't take the risk of getting pregnant? No more sex. At some point, the number of irate men - conservative and liberal - who are going to be calling their congressmen to end the foolishness will be overwhelming. Not to be grim, but I can actually see men raping their wives, girlfriends, or partners claiming it's their "right" to have sex. I get that I'm likely overreacting, but seeing all the comments lately from men about women and their rights, it wouldn't surprise me much to see something like married rape happening more often.

personal. account: POTUS account: retweeted ^ They showed some of that interview on our main news tonight........I felt sick at what he said. He believes torture and waterboarding absolutely works." ISIS are chopping people's heads off and showing them to the world...we've got to fight fire with fire ....we're not playing on an even field "( his words) Is he really intending to bring the US down to the same level of barbaric behaviour as ISIS?The only saving grace after watching that is that they also showed Senator McCain's statement "The President can sign whatever executive orders he likes. But the law is the law. We are not bringing back torture in the United States of America". I hope he's right!

But, oh dear, what do we have here? Mnuchin, Bannon, and Tiffany Trump are all registered to vote in two statesOf course, being registered to vote in multiple states isn't illegal, or even uncommon. It's only voter fraud if one VOTES in multiple states. DJT appears to think that merely being registered in multiple states is fraud, though, so I hope he gets started on investigating Mnuchin, Bannon, and Tiffany.

EJ Dionne a columnist I liked tweeted
"Even in the midst of a stock market crash & a pandemic, Trump would still focus on the crowds at his Inauguration."
He may have a point.
