I hate them all. Seriously. I hate them all. There is not a redeeming quality any of them could have that would outweigh the hypocrisy, the lies, the greed, and the damage they are doing to my country.
I used to be pretty understanding of both sides even if I didn't agree with them. But this, this I cannot see both sides of. I can see the hawks cheering for the cuts because they don't affect them and they agree, but if that is the case, then they should be up in arms over the money Trump is spending in Florida and Melania in New York.

But not quite to the level of his boss. I could see him losing it and/or quitting before Trump as he is more on the side of sane. I think.

I think that Spicer is just like Trump. I truly believe Spicer BELIEVES this bullshit he spews everyday. A sane, rational thinking person would have a very hard time keeping a straight face while spewing the crap that comes out of his mouth daily. i hope the money is worth his integrity, morals, and soul.

linkYou got to love old Arnie. Schwarzenegger went after tiny hand's about his budget cutting children programs. He even offered to take tiny hands to visit schools in the DC area to see some of the programs that could be cut under his program. But even funnier is how he is calling to trump's attention his approval rating which is now 37%.

linkLast night when tiny hands was feeding his ego at the rally in KY he went on about former 49er Quarterback Colin Kaepernick. He said that he had read an article that NFL Owners don't want to pick up Kaepernick "because they don't want to get a nasty tweet from Donald trump." There was another thread that didn't stay on the first page of this board very long. It was about Joe Biden feeling he should have talked more about what Hillary could have done for the middle class and less about how unfit trump was to be president. I disagree with Joe. Hillary did lay out what her positions were at the same time she and others tried to tell people trump was and is unfit to be president. Comments like the one above and watching the Director of the FBI, in front of a House Committee, state they could find no proof to back up trump's tweet that President Obama had personally ordered trump towers to be bugged makes it clear he shouldn't never have been elected president. And we let's don't forget how well he did with Merkel. But back to the topic at hand. After hearing about tiny hands' comment Kaepernick donated $50,000 to Meals on Wheels. Now as a SF Bay Area Resident I have never been a fan of CK. I think the 49ers made a huge mistake in letting Alex Smith go and keeping CK. However today we now know who the grown up is. And unfortunately it's not the President of the United States. Sad! But way to go Colin!

I hope the money is worth [Spicer's] integrity, morals, and soul. $179,000 per year. Not a salary to sneeze at, of course, but I suspect most people would have a much larger target purchase price for their souls.

The maximum salary in government service (excluding the president and vice-president) hovers somewhere around the congressional salary. (The VP salary is only in the 200SomethingK range. But he gets a house.) Several of these people have taken big salary reductions. D.C. ain't cheap. And those blue suits are pricey.

I guess I'm glad that they can't make THAT much, but shoot, for what he's getting paid to sell his soul to the devil, I'd quit in a heartbeat. Totally not worth it. Makes being a middle school teacher that much more tolerable--and that's saying a lot a couple weeks out from Spring Break and end of quarter grading to be done!

Speaking of insurance...I just saw yesterday under one Republican plan, the person making $26,000 a year would face premiums of $13,000 a year. So, half their salary. What moron thinks that somebody can possibly live on $13,000 a year?!

From Matt McDermott a pollster by trade.....
1/ Given the stunning information we now know from Comey’s testimony, we really need to take a moment to reflect back on July 24, 2016.
2/ It was the day before the Dem Convention, after Wikileaks had dropped a load of hacked emails causing chaos as the convention kicked off.
3/ Many pundits remarked on the awful timing of the leak for Clinton right before the convention, but generally assumed it was coincidental.
4/ But on July 24th, @robbymook went on @jaketapper's show and accused Russians of leaking Dem emails to intentionally help Donald Trump.
5/ Here's a video of that exchange, in which @robbymook was met with a mix of incredulity and doubt for even suggesting something so absurd.
6/ The Trump campaign responded that the assertion was a "joke."
7/ Don Jr. on same show said the suggestion Russians were intentionally trying to help Trumo was "disgusting" and "so phony" -- a "big lie."
8/ Major media organizations (like the NYT, here, a week before the election!) also cast doubt, or straight up refuted the assertion.
9/ Well yesterday, the FBI emphatically confirmed @robbymook's assessment: the Russian were intentionally leaking emails to help Trump.
10/ The Clinton campaign was right. The Trump campaign was wrong. Major media outlets were wrong. The Russians were trying to help Trump.
11/ I don't know quite what happened – my guess is that the reality was just too hard to even fathom – but many dropped the ball here.
12/ It’s just startling to look back at the clip with @robbymook, completely nailing what happened and why, being met with utter skepticism.
13/ Bottom line: the Clinton campaign was sounding the alarm bells over Russian interference for months. Turn out, they were exactly right.
But even worse is the FBI started to investigate the Trump Campaign for ties to Russia about this time and said nothing. When President Obama wanted to make a bipartisan statement about this he was shot down by Mitch McConnell.
But hay you know there were those emails......

From James Martin, a Jesuit Priest.....
"I will never understand how politicians who call themselves Christian can read the Gospels and then treat the poor and the sick like dirt."
I have often wondered that myself. It seems the louder one screams "I'm a Christian" the less compassion they have for the poor as being currently demonstrated by the Republicans in Congress.

From AP....
"BREAKING: White House: Trump not aware of Manafort's work for Russian billionaire when Manafort worked on presidential campaign."
For a savvy businessman trump sure didn't do much due diligence on the folks he surrounded himself with. You would think that would be a no brainer for someone as important as trump thinks he is. And now he is leading this country.
But hey, let's talk about those emails......

Today has been fascinating but confusing. Nunes, who was on the Trump Transition Team, held a press conference and...divulged info he shouldn't have...about the investigation of Trump's Transition Team? Or something?
I usually reserve the term Bumblefuck for Huckabee, but I'm starting to think it applies to everyone who is in the Trump administration or is aiding and abetting them. Arrogant *and* completely stupidly inept.
Tweet I just saw and totally agree with:

Oh, and I read NATO is changing the date of their summit so that Tillerson can attend? Is this a *cringe I'm embarrassed to be an American* moment, or a "haha NATO isn't letting him weasel out it* moment?

Omg...my head hurts after reading that. He sounds so unintelligent and all he says is "I WAS RIGHT" This here is most telling of all....it's pretty much why he ran...for popularity in his weenie little walnut sized brain. "I guess, I can’t be doing so badly, because I’m president, and you’re not."

...and nothing untrue that he says is ever HIS fault-- "well, I was quoting someone, you'll have to ask THEM about it..." even if the person he's quoting is totally full of shit. eta: and what he's concerned with is how many freakin' Time covers he has, or will have? Not actually BEING the President or doing a good job, but how popular he is, what people say about him, and how many magazine covers he gets. "Trump: And then TIME magazine, which treats me horribly, but obviously I sell, I assume this is going to be a cover too, have I set the record? I guess, right? Covers, nobody’s had more covers.
Interviewer: I think Richard Nixon still has you beat. But he was in office for longer, so give yourself time. Trump: Ok good. I’m sure I’ll win."

From Washington Post Columnist Greg Sargent "New Quinnipiac poll: Americans disapprove GOP health plan by 56-17. Only 41% of REPUBLICANS approve:" I wonder if the Republicans in Congress even care. My guess is no. Here is the poll. link
