From Washington Post Columnist Greg Sargent "New Quinnipiac poll: Americans disapprove GOP health plan by 56-17. Only 41% of REPUBLICANS approve:" I wonder if the Republicans in Congress even care. My guess is no. Here is the poll. linkBut polls are FAKE! Even his supporters say so.

So he is saying his own intelligence agency is dishonest? What a tool. I think he is shitting himself. He is a bloviating moron. So are his supporters.

Today has been fascinating but confusing. Nunes, who was on the Trump Transition Team, held a press conference and...divulged info he shouldn't have...about the investigation of Trump's Transition Team? Or something? I usually reserve the term Bumblefuck for Huckabee, but I'm starting to think it applies to everyone who is in the Trump administration or is aiding and abetting them. Arrogant *and* completely stupidly inept. Tweet I just saw and totally agree with: I had CNN on while that was all unfolding and was so confused! Still am. Best I could figure, Nunes found something out, it pissed him off, he went after Trump & blew his stack, then realized he screwed up?

Random tweet.....
"GOP aide on CapHill: "I'm starting to think that while we're pretty good at winning elections, we're not great at the whole governing thing"
Well as to winning elections they may be winning but not without outside help....
Just my opinion.

From tweeter-in-chief......
"Today, I was thrilled to announce a commitment of $25 BILLION & 20K AMERICAN JOBS over the next 4 years. THANK YOU Charter Communications!"
I checked. The increase in jobs was planned over a year ago. But of course tiny hands will put it in such away that he is responsible for these 20,000 new jobs. And his supporters will believe the jobs wouldn't of happened if it wasn't for trump.

Tweet from Daily Beast Reporter....
"Trump officials: Bannon wants list of GOPers against them in his "war room," advised Trump to "burn the boats" #ahca"
Republicans turning on Republicans.....

...and nothing untrue that he says is ever HIS fault-- "well, I was quoting someone, you'll have to ask THEM about it..." even if the person he's quoting is totally full of shit. eta: and what he's concerned with is how many freakin' Time covers he has, or will have? Not actually BEING the President or doing a good job, but how popular he is, what people say about him, and how many magazine covers he gets. "Trump: And then TIME magazine, which treats me horribly, but obviously I sell, I assume this is going to be a cover too, have I set the record? I guess, right? Covers, nobody’s had more covers.
Interviewer: I think Richard Nixon still has you beat. But he was in office for longer, so give yourself time. Trump: Ok good. I’m sure I’ll win."

From AP....
"BREAKING: President Trump says health care bill fell short in lead-up to House vote because of no support from Democrats."
If I remember correctly the Democrats passed the ACA without one Republican voting for it.

I'm really not sure Trump understands the actual REASON why Nixon had so many covers... I'm thinking Watergate had something to do with that, didn't it? But he actually might be right-- after all this is said and done, Trump might actually 'win' over Nixon, lol!

Between those three companies, I think the gain of 20K jobs is going to be cancelled by the loss of those jobs if not overshadowed.

Really, spinmeister? All you had to do was get YOUR SIDE to vote with you. You know, GOP majority and all? elaine you are probably right about tweet-storm coming in and could probably bet on it. But you'd make no $$$ as I'm sure the odds would not be in your favor.

Again, not a tweet but not worthy of a thread on its own: DT is apparently livid with his SIL for being on holiday in Aspen when the health debacle went down. Oh the irony, Mr Mar-A -Lago...

What's that tweet making the rounds? Paraphrasing: "it's almost like putting a white nationalist blog in charge of the government was a bad idea or something"
You'll be happy to know our favorite Cheeto is at the golf course today.

Washington Post Columnist Greg Sargent's tweet...
"The brain lock is unreal. They are incapable of grasping that the American people are flatly rejecting their ideological alternative."
Is in response to Pence's comment today of "We will end the Obamacare nightmare".
Sometimes I think the only reason the GOP wanted to repeal the ACA is because it's also called "Obamacare" and as such they never truly considered the repercussions of the repeal. And it appears they still haven't.

"VP Mike Pence: "I was inspired by President Trump's determination and commitment" to pass GOP health care bill: abcn.ws/2n4n4ht"
Its clear it doesn't take much to "inspire" Pence.

I know in all past administrations of my (long-ish) life, I've never been so astounded (and appalled) by so many things going on. Maybe I wasn't paying attention OR maybe that's because there was never so much to fear from an individual, a POTUS. With all the madness, I hope there is enough manpower to have a focus on everything that needs to be focused on. I'm exhausted by it all and I'm not one that has to or can really do the work.

linkRather then start a new thread here is an interesting article from the New York Times. "Trump Becomes Ensnared in fiery G.O.P. Civil War". It seems he was blindsided yesterday by the Freedom Caucus. I honestly don't know why the White House and/or Paul Ryan thought they could get the Freedom Caucus to fall in line. This is something the Democrats had better pay attention to going forward as the party reinvents itself or whatever it's doing. Extremists will not compromise. And this country cannot be govern by extremists. From the article.. "Mr. Trump, bowing to the same power-sharing realities that the besieged Mr. Ryan must cope with in leading the fractured Republican majority in the House, decided to back down. But the president’s advisers worry about the hard reality going forward — the developer with the tough-guy veneer was steamrollered by various factions in the Republican Congress."
