linkFrom SF Gate. "American's right to protest is in grave danger United Nation warns". From the article : "The right to protest is fundamental to American democracy. The country was born, after all, out of decades of civil disobedience by people angry about taxation without representation." "But according to United Nations human rights investigators, this principle is under attack. Over the past few months, on the heels of a fresh wave of organizing by liberals, at least 19 states have introduced measures that would criminalize peaceful protests." "Supporters of the measures argue that the laws are needed to maintain public safety. The Human Right experts, though, disagreed. "One person's decision to resort to violence does not strip other protestors of the right to freedom of peaceful assembly" Kaye & Kiai said." First it's always embarrassing when this country is singled out for a United Nations Human Rights violation. Second I get people get pissed if protestors either inconvenience some folks or even worse some in the protest feel the need to destroy. But, donuts to dollars, any law aimed at "violent or destructive" protestors will also ensnare the peaceful protestors as well. Because that always happens.

I would not brag about this president tiny hands...
"Getting ready to meet President al-Sisi of Egypt. On behalf of the United States, I look forward to a long and wonderful relationship."
Fron a Politico article I'm to lazy to post.
"Egypt's military ruler Abedel el Fatt ah el-Sisi was never invited to the Obama White House, where he was viewed as a brutal tyrant with little regard for human rights and democracy".
I guess Human Rights isn't going to be a "thing" for this country anymore. I see we are selling some fighter jets to a third world country who's name I can't remember and we removed the Human Rights clause that, from what I understand, was standard for certain countries when we sold them military equipment. Sad!

Well actually he only won the Electoral College (that group he wanted to get rid of originally) and lost the actual popular vote. The Man can't get around that.
The only consolation is that the History books are being revised now to show LOSER next to his name.

Sad! Bahrain is certainly not a third world country if that is the country you are referring to. But their human rights policies are some of the worse out there. The US withdrew approval under President Obama, before the deal was finalised for these jets because it said Bahrain had not taken steps it had promised to improve human rights. The steps still haven't been taken but that is no interest to Trump. The latest is the impending ban on the opposition party and let army courts try civilians.

Never cared for Mitch McConnell and a lot of that feeling has to do with comments like this that was in SF Gate article. "Mitch McConnell says Democrats planned filibuster of Neil Gorsuch is a "new low".
No Mitch, the new low was when you made the political decision to deny a sitting president his right, as outlined in the Constitution, to pick a replacement for the Supreme Court. He says like everyone forgets what he did. Or he thinks we are stupid.

Like I said the leadership in this country is only concerned with one thing and that is the almighty dollar. I have a different definition of what I consider a third world country or a backward state. It's how they treat their people. Unfortunately for this country, after what I have been reading this morning, we could very well join my list of third world countries.

Oh right, never heard of anyone using it in that context so I misunderstood. A third world country to me is either the old meaning which was used during the cold war they were either west ( non communist) or east ( communist) then you had the countries that were neither in the middle( the third world countries) Because many of these countries were extremely poor at the time, and non-industrialized,some of them still are, it's generally stereotyped now to refer to poor countries as "third world countries" Bahrain doesn't fit into either category. Sorry if I misunderstood your meaning.

A random tweet.....
"A lie and a dogwhistle: Trump says "nobody ever saw anything being built" with Obama Recovery Act funds, " they used it on social programs."
I guess president tiny hands is flapping his gums at a construction group and spouting lies yet again.
A new bore in the Caldecott Tunnel, The new Transbay Terminal in SF, and the SF approach to the Golden Gate Bridge are just three that I know of without doing any research.
And for the record president dimwit I caught my bus across from the Transbay Terminal and rode through the construction site on my way home across the Golden Gate Bridge every night after work. And in the morning coming in. So I and thousands of others actually did see something built partially funded by the Obama Recovery Act funds.
I wonder what trump would say if I were able to walk up to him and point out yet another lie that he is telling. He would find someone to blame I'm sure.
I'm really beginning to believe trump has a personal vendetta against President Obama. I mean it's a given the Republicans are against anything the Democrats do. But this thing with trump seems awfully personal.

Finally watching last night's episode of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and he's talking about trump's last EO signing where he gives some remarks and just walked out of the Oval Office without signing the EO. Pence says something to him as he is leaving but trump just keeps on going. So Pence has to grab the EO and pens and ushers the guests out of the Oval Office.
As strange as that was, what was even stranger ,to me anyway, there was a podium in the Oval Office. I don't think I have ever seen one in that room before. How odd.

we drove cross-country a few years ago and got stopped by PLENTY of interstate road construction that was all funded by the Economic Recovery Act- I remmeber it because it was so annoying! Also, the town next to ours has a large 'park-and-ride' complex that has a big fat sign right in front, "funded by the Economic Recovery Act of whatever-year-it-was" so Trump is full of SHIT.
(of course, Trump is ALWAYS full of SHIT, so there is that.)

So King Abdullah and his wife are visiting the White House.
I just saw a video of trump and King Abdullah sitting in those yellow chairs while the press is taking pictures.
What amazed me were the wives who standing behind their husband's chairs.
To me that was a very demeaning visual. While that may be acceptable in Jordan it's not here. Or it shouldn't be.

linkAs the latest horror in Syria makes its way around the world and president tiny hands blames President Obama one may wonder what trump felt about Syria the last time the citizens were gassed by their government. Thanks to fact nothing ever really disappears from the Internet Vox put together a list of trump's tweets that very clearly showed he thought we should stay out of Syria. Again I would just love to stand in front of trump with the list of his tweets and watch him try and blame someone else for his words.

From an NBC reporter.....
"BREAKING: Secretary of State Tillerson ignores question when asked for response to chemical attack massacre in Syria."
This Secretary of State sure doesn't say much. I wonder if this means our diplomatic arm of the government has been gagged?

From a Huffington Post editor...
"Trump per pool:
"I think we’ve had one of the most successful 13 weeks in the history of the presidency,”
I'm thinking someone is delusional and based on trump's current approval rating it's not the American People.
One wonders how someone can make comments like that with a straight face?
