From the Associated Press...
"U.S. employers added just 98,000 jobs last month, the fewest in a year."
To repeat the words from trump's tweet from yesterday "JOBS JOBS JOBS"
To be fair the unemployment rate did drop a bit. However if this had happened a couple of months ago when Obama was still president we all know how trump would have reacted.

From the Daily Beast...
"U.S. job growth slows unexpectedly, with the jobless figure at its lowest since May 2007 thebea.st/2o5Tf1v"
This is now on trump's watch.
To be fair again, the thought is it could be because the economy is sluggish or because of the weather. But still.

From Washington Post Columnist EJ Dionne....
"Trump has visited a #Trump-branded property every 2.8 days of his presidency" @pbump Self-interest Self-involvement
Can't argue with that.

From the AP.....
'Well, I do change and I am flexible:' After Syria strike, President Trump's emerging doctrine is flexibility.
Translation for him specifically based on past actions "I go whichever way the wind blows."

From a Huffington Post editor... "Trump per pool: "I think we’ve had one of the most successful 13 weeks in the history of the presidency,” I'm thinking someone is delusional and based on trump's current approval rating it's not the American People. One wonders how someone can make comments like that with a straight face? I think the punchline about this is that he's only been president for 11 weeks...

A trump tweet from 2014..
"Tens of millions of dollars in airstrikes had no impact because key leaders fled after hearing ON NEWS REPORTS the strikes were coming. DUMB"
This time it was Russia that let the cat out of the bag causing the waste of 59 missles, which I'm sure the cost of would have pay the security costs associated with trump's weekend trips to Florida for a couple of months at least. He sure likes to waste taxpayer's money.

The attack in Syria brought about this series of tweets between former Obama Foreign Poicy Advisior and Bret Stephens WSJ Foreign Affairs Columinst
Rhodes "So Obama was excoriated in DC for years for not taking a strike that disabled an airfield for a few hours."
Stephens "You had the chance to stop genocide, chaos, a refugee crisis, Russia's intervention, @brhodes. You did nothing. Try shame instead of snark."
Rhodes "I respect your passion. But giving any US Administration agency for all the forces at work in Syria only makes finding solutions harder."
Stephens ""Complexity" is the last refuge of policy cowards."
I would hazard a guess that finding the solution to Syria and Assad would be a very complex puzzle. So it would appear Stephens, the Foreign Affairs columnist, doesn't have a clue and is easily impressed by a slight of hand trick that trump's attack was.

McFarland (deputy national security advisor) is being asked to step down? Didn't he just start that position? According to the BBC she's been replaced by Lt Gen H R McMaster and she's been offered the job of US Ambassador to Singapore. ETA no got that wrong missed the bit that she was the deputy .

A series of tweets by Beau Willimon - Writer
"1. By April 29 @realdonaldtrump's first 100 days will be: -Trumpcare fail -Flynn resigned -Nunes recused -Bannon booted from NSC..."
"2. -Yemen mission fail -Ongoing Russia investigation -Freedom Caucus revolt -Infighting among WH staff..."
"3. -ISIS still wreaking havoc -Historically low approvals -Failed Muslim Bans -Job growth same as Obama -Ripping immigrant families apart..."
"4. ...and 50 tomahawk missiles in contradiction to hitherto stated foreign "policy".
Trump is laying the groundwork for consistent failure."
Yea that's about right.

And I thought he might be giving up twitter...
"I explained to the President of China that a trade deal with the U.S. will be far better for them if they solve the North Korean problem!"
"North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A."
"Ron Estes is running TODAY for Congress in the Great State of Kansas. A wonderful guy, I need his help on Healthcare & Tax Cuts (Reform)."
So if China reins in North Korea it will result in a better trade deal with the US and if not then what.
The second tweet is proof that that trump is on a power trip after his attack on Syria.
And let's hope the good folks of Kansas don't help trump and his band of destroyers

His ego (and his ratings) got a boost from the missile attack, so how he's guns-ablazing ready to try it again. Anything to feel adored. He's going to get our "beautiful babies" killed. Our sons and daughters. I loathe him.

A couple of little gems from Spicer's press briefing today....
“They’re not looking to flee,” Sean Spicer says of Syrian refugees. Millions of them would perhaps disagree."
"Press Sec. on Syria: "You had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn't even sink to using chemical weapons." abcnews.com/politics"
The stupidity of the people surrounding president tiny hands is almost breathtaking.

A tweet by Mark Harris who I think is a writer/photographer. I doubt this is true but it sure is funny......
"Melissa McCarthy watching cable news just now: "Oh, shit." Calls agents. "Book me a flight to New York. Yes, today. And not United."
Today's fiasco with Sean Spicer plus United's mess would give Melissa McCarthy plenty to work with on SNL.

"North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A." I heard this tweet on the radio today in my car. For some reason it bugged me more than most some of his other twitter rants. (upon further thought, he tweets a bunch of messed up things so changed "most" to "some") He sounds like he's having a freaking pep rally for war. USA! (clap, clap, clap) USA! (clap, clap, clap) He puts the Twit in twitter. WTF. are we seriously only 10 weeks-ish in?!?!?!?!?!?!

From Politico. "@barackobama heading to Germany in May to talk democracy with Merkel politi.co/2ow0IJb" He was invited last year to be on a panel to talk about democracy. And I just know this is not going to sit well with trump. Especially since I understand trump will be taking his first trip to Europe about the same time. link

The originator of the British House of Cards series and co-writer of the first few US ones? I wonder if he is regretful that he didn't make his character/s even more dastardly as they look a little wimpish now.

This mornings tweet from president tiny hands...
"Great win in Kansas last night for Ron Estes, easily winning the Congressional race against the Dems, who spent heavily & predicted victory!"
Except even James Thompson the candidate said it was a seat the Republicans would win. And no the Democrsts did not spend heavily in the race. So you cheeky little man you are spreading "alternative facts" yet again.
The good news in this very red state Thompson only lost by 7 percentage points. The bad news is the DNC didn't spend money on this race. IMO the DNC has to treat each race in these red states as if they can win it. Especially now.

omg, he has diarrhea of the mouth, doesn't he? I work in an industry regulated by the FDA, and am used to only JUST giving the minimum information necessary to answer the question. That exchange looks like he's incapable of just giving a simple answer!
(and that's not even TOUCHING the whole missiles to Iraq-- you mean Syria? Yes... thing!!)

This before or after he named the wrong country he bombed and had to be corrected.
This guy is just plain nuts.

WSJ.....
"In WSJ interview, Trump threatens to abruptly withhold payments to health insurers to bring Democrats to the table"
Isn't that interesting. trump's idea of a great plan is to kick 24 million folks off insurance and make it pretty much impossible for other low income folks who currently do not have insurance to ever get insurance. And God forbid if you are already sick. And he wonders why the Democrats won't support that.
Even if trump were to throw out those little sticking points the Republicans would then never support that plan because their only goal is get rid of the tax hikes in the ACA which does not bode well for the sick and low income individuals.
So because he can't get his own party to fall in line, in spite of Bannon ordering them to do so, he is now threatening the Democrats. In order to get the tax reform he bragged about he needs to get rid of those tax hikes in the ACA and to chop Medicaid. And it's clear he doesn't care how many people lose their insurance as long as he gets what he perceives as a win. Cause it's all about feeding his ego.
I wonder if threatening the other side is the new definition of bipartisanship.
The way I see it. The Republicans have been saying for 6+ years they have a better plan than the ACA. So that means that it's all on them to produce it.
