This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . There are no prizes for this challenge, just a chance to enjoy the works of other Pokey Peas Refugees. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

We were a very busy scrapping bunch last month. I hope that February will be as productive. Those doing LOAD, please be sure to post your layouts here too so we can enjoy them. Or any challenges that you do on another site are very welcome and wanted here too.
February is a short month. Do you think we will make it to 5 pages again?

Thanks for the new thread, nylene. I am hoping to keep up my crafting pace this month. Looking forward to seeing the cards you made with that technique, scrapincin. I need to create a bd card for my sil so I might give it a try, too.

Thank you for the new thread nylene - I sure hope we can keep up the creative pace this month. I am feeling pretty good about it. I love the idea of LOAD, but as LisaDV and several others mentioned over the LOAD thread, I get off track with my own projects by following the prompts. I know they say you don't have too follow them, but I feel compelled to. If it was more technique driven, maybe, but I have just specific things I scrap that the prompts just often do not work for me. nylene - no we don't have any more snow, usually melts off pretty fast here. LisaDV - I have missed many of those photos as well lots of sunrise and sunsets as well (we have some beauties) scrapincin - looking forward to seeing some of your cards you make with the ombre background @gammadee - You have been on a roll, I know you will keep it going justjac - yes, post your LOAD layouts, would love to see them Here is another layout from my Saturday scrap day.
I was inspired by a sketch from Get It Scrapped, Scrapbook Coach 8 Bracket/layout 2 Have a super 1st day of February ladies.

I finished 2 pages today, playing with a Scrapbooking Fanatics kit that came in the mail right before our cruise in October, was quickly stowed away and didn't see the light of day until today. Still have the photos of the girls out, and the flowers and colours seemed perfect for these photos. Fashion Plates by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Fashion Plates 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Later I used the scraps to make a card for dh's sister's bd on Monday.

grammadee - No that was not real stitching on the layout. I have my sowing machine at the ready, but this was a strip of paper with faux stitching. Your pages are terrific. Very girly. A departure from what you have scrapped lately, seems to have been lots of boy pages.

Good Thursday morning. It's Groundhog Day, and the sunniest morning I have seen all winter. Hmmm... We never expect less than about 6 weeks winter from this point in these parts, but one can always hope. Great pages, maribeth and justjac ! Keep 'em comin'! The Pokeys want to see 5 pages again this month, and it's a short one. And scrapincin , I want to see those cards with the ombre backgrounds. I tried using inks yesterday, then gave it up for my sprays: way quicker and I got a smooth glisteny finish. My ink pads are just not juicy enough, and I didn't want to turn a small project into a mission (would have had to refill some of the pads with reinker) Today I need to do laundry and clean the kitchen and some other routine housework (although for me the housework is not really the routine any more). But before I start on that, I want to put together a couple of Christmas pages using KikiPea 's February sketch. Thinking I will try to S-T-R-E-T-C-H the one page design over two pages: wish me luck! ETA: and here are my pages! Magic of Elves 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Magic of Elves 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Well I am finally here for few minutes as I have to go over and checking out all of your creative works! I am posting this card of a first attempt of the ombre backgrounds and ink resist. You can find it here: IMG_9546 Cindy Blair, on Flickr I will be making more of these till I get them at level I think is correct.

Wow, do you know how fun it is to come to this thread and see it FILLED with new projects. They are all wonderful and I left love to each of you in the gallery.
At this rate we will make it to page 5 in this short month. I love the variety we see posted here. You are all so talented!!
I will try to get a page posted tomorrow after school. I have been working on a page for 2 days and have started over twice. I'm hoping this third try will work. I think I'm struggling with design. I have looked at sketches and others layouts, but I can't seem to like what I'm doing. Maybe I'll let it sit for a few days. That usually helps.
Today we had warmer weather and much of the snow slid off our solar panels. It scared me as it just keep coming in front of my window and making a noise. This is our first winter with the panels, so a new experience. But we are expecting another snow tonight and throughout the weekend. At least it will blow the pollution out of here. Our valley had THE WORST air in the NATION today. That's pretty bad. The children couldn't go out for recess.
Be back tomorrow. I hope you all have a great weekend planned.

Sorry you are struggling, but I appreciate your share, with my recent (long) bout with no mojo, I really felt I was the only one, it's nice to know that it happens to others as well. I thought it was just that I am a terrible scrapper and it wasn't even worth the effort to make a page so why bother. Glad I am not feeling that way right now. grammadee - your mixd sized circle border is absolutely wonderful. I love this idea, I have to find a way to scraplift this from you. The photos on your layout make it feel full of energy and the use of the red really works with them. Great complimentary pages I really like that style for two pagers. Looking for ward to your page where you s-t-r-e-t-c-h it from one to two. I do so few two pagers anymore, that is what I started doing and did so many of them, I enjoy your pages and they are inspiring me to get back into the two pagers. scrapincin - your card is beautiful. So elegant. Looking forward to seeing many more from you. Here is my page for the day - Also from my Super Saturday Scraft Day.

Good morning, Ladies! Love your card, scrapincin. I struggle trying to get that effect. The good news is that I have discovered all kinds of other looks in my search... Great pages, maribeth and justjac. I left some love in the Gallery. Hope your page resolves itself, nylene. When I get into a funk like that I usually walk away for awhile. Suddenly an idea will occur to you and that page will come together like THAT! I am often full of ideas when I have no time, and then can get into a dead zone when I actually get the opportunity to play. @2kellyr21, I hope your anniversary weekend was wonderful. Dh and I are off to Calgary this weekend. My birthday is on Sunday, but this evening we will have supper and cake with the two ds's and families who live down there and with dd & her little guy who will be coming down there with us. A busy day tomorrow with skating lessons, a swim meet, and a hockey game, then the long drive home on Sunday. Dh is still not feeling top notch, but I have convinced him to come. He does not need to drive, and even though everyone is going every whichway while we are down there, he can opt to lie down or just sit and watch TV when he gets tired. I think he will perk up when he sees all the dgk's (there will be 8 of them there tonight!) Okay: shutting my computer down, draining my coffee cup, and off to take a shower and pack. See you on the flip side!

Used a really old paper frame and I think the button things were called "dress ups" maybe. First pages I've done in a while. Got sidetracked with cleaning out closets and couldn't find a stopping place.

@elaynef, I think it's really fun to see the old products used with new pages. It just shows that everything old can be new again. Your pages are wonderful. I love seeing your 8.5x11 pages since that's what I scrap too. I love your journaling spot on the 2nd page. Thanks for joining us and sharing your talent! Keep up the good work. grammadee, Happy Birthday on Sunday. I hope they will post a special cake here on the Birthday thread that day. I often don't have time to get on the computer on Sunday, but will be thinking about you that day. I'm sorry your husband is not doing as well as he'd like. I hope he enjoys himself and has time to rest on your trip. There is so much sickness in our school right now, and the kids (and teachers) are out for the whole week. I'm being careful not to get it!! maribeth, thanks for the encouragement. I think sometimes I have something in my head and when it doesn't come together I get frustrated. I actually do better by just laying out the materials I hope to use and let myself walk past them for a couple of days. Guess that wouldn't work for LOAD! LOL I did get it pulled together. It's not my favorite, but I love the photos. Just need to scan it. scrapincin, I watched the video again this afternoon and really want to try to make your card. I don't have a lot of stamps, but I'm going to dig through and see what I can come up with. BTW, your card is just as pretty as all the ones she posted. It's gorgeous. If I don't get back before the weekend is over, I'm hoping you each have a very happy, scrappy of schrafty weekend!

I took the time to scan my layout so I posted it. It scanned the photos really dark and I haven't learned to manipulate the color/light on this new scanner yet. Fall Fun by Nylene Budge, on Flickr I'm glad to have it finished and not sitting on my table staring at me!

@elaynef - thank you for sharing your page(s) I really like the use of the large photo on the one page and the collage of photos on the following page. Old paper or new, it looks terrific, and I love the old papers, I still have tons of it. Hope to see many more of your pages on the thread. nylene - you are too hard on yourself, that is a lovely layout (but really can they all be our favorites with all the pages we make). But I think it is wonderful. The colors go well together and represent the wonderful fall leaves in the photos. The photos are what it is all about and those are some great ones. What a great memory this will be one day for him.

Wow, ladies. Such gorgeous pages and cards. Have a wonderful trip grammadee . My LOAD page for today is over in the February Sketch Challenge thread. Here is yesterday's page and the birthday card I made for my mom. Sorry. I have no idea why my card is gigantic. Also are you able to click on my photos and go to Flickr? I might need a review on sharing pics. Save

justjac - no I can not click and go to flickr. You page looks great, I am guessing (since I can't read the journalling) that it is about jewelry, and the photo closeups of the items are a terrific method to document this. You card is delightful. I have tons of flowers just like these, I should try something similar with them. Have a great day!

Another Page for Super Scraft Saturday - This one is a photos of the Hall Bathroom gussied up for Holiday Home 2015 - I change the theme of the bathroom every year. That year I did a Route 66/Travel theme. The tree (which if you didn't notice is in the bathtub, everyone gets a kick out of that - BTW we have another bathroom so we do shower during the holidays - LOL) was decorated with all the ornaments we purchase when we travel.
Have a terrific Day.

justjac , to make your layouts clickable follow these instructions. After posting your project, go to the project and click on the arrow at bottom right. Click on BBCode, a URL will pop up. Choose your layout size from drop down tab, then copy the URL. Come to your post in Pokey Peas and finish your comments, and hit REPLY (not post Quick Reply). A new screen will come up. Click on BBCode, move your cursor where you want the layout and paste. You can check your post and layout by clicking on Preview. If everything is OK, finish by hitting Create Post button. The only reason I know how to do this is because scrapincin taught me!! I hope this works for you. I'll be back later.

Hi everyone! Wow! you all have been so busy already this month! and it's only the 4th. It's so great to see a thread full of loveliness! Each layout and card is so wonderful. I hope to get to the gallery next week. grammadee, Happy Birthday! I know you will have such a wonderful time with your family. You definitely deserve it. You did a great job converting it to a 2page layout. Love the circles. @elaynef, I really like that fish, hat, vest set. I have fishermen in my clan as well. maribeth, all of your layouts are so great, but I'm really loving the Christmas family photo one. The colors and design are just so wonderful to me. justjac, looks like you are up and running on load. I love that you have so much journaling on your layouts. scrapincin, I think your card is great as is. nylene, your layout looks wonderful. All that fussiness paid off for you. It's super cute. My internet has been acting up, but only with proboards. I spend the time to craft intricate replies with different posters noted or quick quoted, hit reply and then get a notice that the server has been updated. Which basically means whatever I had typed is gone and then I can't get on to the boards anymore. This has been for the last 3 days. I just switched to firefox from chrome and it seems to be working better. I've been kitting up photos and now am working on the editing/journaling process so I can order more prints. The necessary evil of scrapbooking. I hope to be finished by mid-week. Tomorrow I need to spend time on grading papers, prepping for the school week, and reading ahead on Science. We finished one science book last semester, instead of spending a whole year on it. So we just started the second one today. I had my experiment supplies, but totally didn't read ahead. Luckily, most of the questions I could field from my brain, but if I had read ahead, I would have known that most of their questions were answered during the reading lesson.
