Good Sunday evening to everyone. scrapincin, Did you have more layouts in the sb.com email?? I'll be so bummed that I didn't open it. I'm trying to "be good" on my spending and thought it best to just hit the delete button without opening. I knew I should have opened it. I am about 6 hours north of you. We actually moved from Strongsville, Ohio to up here. We had snow this morning and a snow advisory that quickly dissipated as the snow stopped and rain came and then stopped. Looks like the next 2 days will also be above freezing. Hurray. Of course, that also means icy mornings and evenings which I'm not a fan of. If the weather stays on target we'll be in the mid 40s on Friday. Crazy Weather!~ grammadee, hope the cold is not resurfacing for your dh. Since last Wednesday I've finished 12 digital layouts, including finishing off my 2007 Christmas pages. Whew! Feels good to have that completed. Nine of those were completed this morning. My new usb cord for the cameo still did not make anything happen. The system says my driver is up-to-date, but I've requested Silhouette's help for what current driver that recommend using for my system. If I update without success, it means my machine itself is broken. Keeping my fingers crossed that they can help fix it. Hope you all are having a relaxing evening. Me, I'm off to bed. Good night.

Lisa the only one in yesterday's email was Sweet. Thanks for asking! Wow I sure hope there is something else like a setting needing changed on your Silhouette. But they will get back to you . I have had nothing but good luck with their CS. Not a stupid question but did you hook into your computer too? Just checking because that to me would be something I might do. LOL Wow if you lived in Strongsville you were really close. I live in Cuyahoga Falls.

Wow, LisaDV! 9 LO's in one day? You are on a roll! I think it would take me longer to do a digi page than a traditional paper one. Haven't seen anything on Get It Scrapped yet about Calvinball. Last year people were signing up in January. I saw a note that a lot of things were being transferred over to their fb site. I messaged Debbie Hodge and asked about Calvinball. She promised to get back to me. I really hope their forum stays open for that, as I am not on fb. Dd and her little guy have gone home. She helped me do some more organizing in the basement while they were here. When they left, I crashed and watched curling the rest of the evening. I have a couple of pages I started yesterday to finish in the morning. I also have an idea for another couple of pages. Think I will pull out the supplies and photos tonight so I don't have to spend much time looking for things, and can just get to the creating part. As I am looking for page elements, I will also be starting to sort my Christmas stash for storing. That should clear up alot of counter space (and some other surfaces in here, LOL) I have a couple more spreads to do--plus the title and end page--but I think I will select supplies for each of those pages while I am sorting. Hey! Am I thinking of making page kits? Anyway, that's it for tonight! If you have a moment, take a stroll through the Gallery Lots of activity there over the past few days! I am loving seeing all the eye candy!

Good morning! It's Monday! I have some shopping to do today for a couple Valentines gifts and groceries. I am having my sister for dinner tomorrow for her birthday-yes she's a Valentine baby! I am so glad she is well enough to go back to work. She was off for 3 months total and so she is really tired when she gets home. She is on vacation this week. She is getting the butterfly card! Then after shopping I hope to do some scrapping. I never got any done yesterday. grammadee sounds like page kits to me! LOL You are such a busy bee! I wish I had your energy. I wish someone would help me with my basement. There is such a mess down there. My DH has a bad habit of bringing things in, setting them down in the middle of the floor and they stay there until I move them or he uses them. nylene How is the hair-do doing? Do you like it? Is it easier to do in the morning? Are you getting all of your pencil valentines done? maribeth Loved your layout! Looking forward to seeing more. Ok I am off to get things moving around here! BBL

I knew kit making was NOT for me! I sorted all the papers and scraps on my counters and other places this morning, but once I had all the Christmas stuff in one place I decided I would MUCH rather use it for pages than sort it into kits. In fact, I started a kit for Christmas Eve photos, but then just threw it back into the mix and started grabbing things I liked better. Grab, glue & go is much more my style! I finished the pages I started Saturday morning: hot chocolate by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And then started and finished two more pages today: Christmas eve checklist by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Christmas eve checklist 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I still have a valentine to make today, but then I need to step out of this room: my creative brain is ready for a nap!

Hi, non-Pokey friends. It's so much fun to see all the work posted here and I know there is more in the gallery. I have been making pencil Valentines for all the children in our reading program. I made folded paper boxes for my 5 students and now they want enough for all the 60+ children for storing the vocabulary words that they take home and review nightly. I did another 9 over the weekend, but at this rate it's going to take forever. I can use the paper I get from the AC warehouse, which makes it not expensive. scrapincin, I think it's great that you have appeared (well, your layout, that is) twice in the "favorite layouts" in the daily email from Scrapbook.com. Your layouts are beautiful. They need to be honored. I'm glad your sister is doing better. That's been a long battle. kellyr21, I am anxious to see what you do next. I'm sure your Valentines are beautiful. maribeth, I love that last layout. It's the kind I would expect to see on the cover of a Scrap magazine. Perfection! LisaDV, 9 layouts? That's 2 months worth for me! I am so proud of you. I find it goes faster when I'm on a roll. You must really be on a roll. I am so sorry about your cutter. I hope they can help you. I was so sad when my Cricut died...and then the replacement died. I am grateful that scrapincin encouraged me to get the Cameo. Best wishes for a successful fix so you can get cutting again. grammadee, you are really scrapping a bunch too. I will hop over to the gallery to leave love this afternoon. I'm afraid if we lived next door, we'd have to move scrapincin in on the other side, because she is really the Silhouette guru. Wouldn't we have a good time together! I am loving all the different techniques you use on your layouts. I get into a rut and do the same thing over and over. You are my inspiration! BTW, hope the cough goes away and your DH feels better. justjac, I have found a few layouts from you in the gallery that weren't posted here. They are really fun. I love the journaling you do on each page and the different techniques you do. I learn from each of you Pokey Peas! I need to run. I'm making soup and making boxes, LOL!

grammadee - Layout - Hot Chocolate - Your mug embellishments are fabulous. Are those done with a die of a cutting machine? I like the block of photos spanning the double page layout. That one photo on the Christmas Eve Checklist layout is to die for adorable. Like the colors selected here and again you have done such a great job of conveying the feeling of the wonderful magical time of year of Christmas.

Hey. grammadee you are scrapping up a storm! You, too, LisaDV . Thanks for the kind feedback here and in the gallery nylene and maribeth . scrapincin I love your sweet layout! I have been busy doing my Layout a Day. I am in the groove and really enjoy making crafty time a priority every day. Saturday night was a local Mardi Gras cabaret and DH and I went with friends. We dressed in steampunk costumes and I hope to do a layout soon because our costumes were awesome. We came in third in the group costume category. We are supposed to have beautiful weather all week - highs above freezing! I shared one of my layouts over on the pizza challenge. Here are the rest. scrapincin, We went to Cuyahoga Falls for the day for ds's bday in 2014. He's a huge Bill Watterson fan. We loved the downtown area. Regarding the silhouette, I actually plugged it into 3 different usb ports on my computer. I also switched the plug to a different outlet. Ya know, cuz you never know. (shaking my head). grammadee, I'm not a huge fan of facebook message boarding for sites either. I am on facebook and have a few groups I belong to but I find it difficult to really have a conversation on facebook. It seems so much more peripheral to me. Debbie's contacting Celeste and Doris to see where they want to host it at. Great pages all of them, but really loving the Hot Chocolate page. Adorable. nylene, It's so sweet of you to make all of those paper boxes for the kids. I had a formula for most of my layouts as all but 2 were for my Christmas album, so I really just had to add photos. Made it really quick. justjac, looks like you're doing fab on LOAD. Your layouts are so wonderful. Each and every one. When I create that quickly I never get layouts that I love one after the other, but I love each one of yours. You'll have to tell me your secret. Gotta go, evening routines. I think I need a vacation. lol

justjac - A few of my Favourite Things - I am a sucker for outdoor photos (which I think I have mentioned in the past) These are beautiful photos and I love how you put them together to make this awesome layout. Mom, love the mixed media elements on the background paper, and all the journalling. I think on this type of page it really is all about the story and the photo and elements are used only to support the value of the story. Great job. Worth Celebrating - WOW - I don't know if you intended to do this, but as soon as I saw this with all the circles I immediately thought about the Celebration of Life! I love this layout, it feels so joyful and so celebratory!

Thanks, scrapincin! Happy Valentines to you, too! I need to go into town today to put my Vagabond into the mail and do some other errands. Before getting ready to go, I put together a quick page for the front of my 2016 Christmas album. I found the ticket on line and was able to print it on photo paper to go with the 2 pics my ddil sent of the girls in early December. I thought this was a good lead in to our 2016 Christmas story. Christmas 2016 cover by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I will be back later to comment on your page, maribeth, and all your new pages in the Gallery, LisaDV.

Happy Valentine's Day all!!! I hope it has been a great day where you are. We plan to exchange cards and have a nice dinner later. We have been watching so many Valentine's Hallmark movies over the last few weeks and I hope we can see another one tonight. On the craft front, I ended up making so many Valentine's cards which I will share AND my first ever red velvet cake cupcakes and cream cheese frosting. I was so excited to make the frosting for the first time. But after blending and blending and adding more sugar it still came out runny. Not sure what else to do but I want to try it again. But the main thing is they tasted great! LOL! Any tips? I wanted to send them to my dh's job but not with runny frosting! LOL. nylene - Oh boy you do have lots of boxes to make. I wish we could help you. That would be fun! maribeth , justjac , grammadee - You gals have really been scrapping away! I was in the gallery and saw all you beautiful pages. Rock on!!! LisaDV - Any decorating going on? I haven't got going yet but hopeful soon when I get some extra $$. Oh and your layouts are jus fab! I love that library pp one with your dd especially. But they all are amazing! scrapincin - Sorry the Superbowl wasn't fun for ya. I can imagine how tough it was for Atlanta fans. But I hope our teams are much better next year. You know we got the Chargers here in town too. I think it is too much football but we will see.

Happy Valentine's Day to all the Pokey Peas!
Thanks, Cindy, for posting earlier in the day. It's almost a belated V-Day by this time of night! I hope you all had a great day.
I got caught up on all your lovely layouts. We are really filling up the gallery. I am loving all your work and left love in the gallery.
I tried to take a photo of my layout today and my camera wouldn't work. It took Steve to tell me that my battery must be bad since it had charged half the day. Tomorrow I'll replace it and then take a photo. I tried scanning, but it didn't show the glitter. Everything just looked black.
I'll hop back on tomorrow or Thurs a.m. I have finished another 20 boxes tonight. Whew!

Good morning! I stopped by to say Hi and catch up on the chat! I made dinner for my sister ;last night as it was her birthday. Well I made this cabbage dish and a peanut butter chocolate pie. I used a tart pan for the pie. It is non stick version. Well I picked the pie up to put it into the fridge and it slid off of the pie pan and I caught it but it sure did not look as pretty as it did 2 seconds before! We ate it anyway. It was really good but rich! I knew my sister would laugh when she saw it. And she did . Fortunately it never hit the floor! nylene I can not wait to see these boxes! You will not want to make anymore! How do you like your hair do now that you have had it for a few days? kellyr21 I watched and enjoyed most of the game until the 4th quarter when the Pats turned it all around. I know you have 2 teams there now-but the fans will be one or the other. LisaDV I so enjoyed the pages you posted to the gallery! maribeth I levft you some love in the gallery also! grammadee I am so glad they are going to take care of your Vagabond. I would be disappointed if they hadn't! You will be back in business soon I am sure Ok going to figure out what I am making for dinner!

Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for all the love in the Gallery. Good and not-so-good news about my Vagabond. I went to town yesterday intending to ship it, but our local Post Office could not use their FedEx prepaid label. I called Sizzix again, and after they consulted with someone, I was told I don't need to actually return the machine, just snap a photo and email it to them. I came home, snapped the photo and sent the email. The return email says that (1) my Vagabond II has been ordered for me, and (2) it is backordered, and won't be sent out until at least the end of March. So, I am forming a new bond with my old Cuttlebug... nylene , I hope you get your camera working soon. I would love to see your LO--and your pencil boxes! Oh, and if we all lived on one block, I think we would have to hire housekeepers, because all we would be doing is playing! Unless maribeth wants to join us: she seems to have the energy of about a dozen people! scrapincin , I am so happy your sister is feeling better. Happy belated birthday to her. Did you take before and after photos of your yummy dessert? Now THAT is a scrapable moment! I woke up motivated to FINISH my Christmas album. Didn't quite get there. I DID manage to complete two two-page LO's, but my photos are like the loaves and fishes: the more I use, the more I have to scrap! Closer now, though to getting them into that album... Here are two of the pages. Mostly HOTP. The ribbon trick I learned from the Paper Wishes website. eat drink & be merry by Gramma Dee, on Flickr eat drink & be merry 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I posted the others separately on Flickr, but I realized after I did that they don't line up very well in the 2 photos, and what I was really happy with on these 2 pages was the way they flow from one page to the other. I really like this sketch I pinned, and it worked really well! I will attach a photo of the two pages together. Attachments:

Happy Belated Valentine's. Hope everyone had a great day. Don & I don't celebrate it, but I always get the kids something. Plus we had a nice dinner. DD made allergy free truffles. maribeth, cute school pages and absolutely adorable grands. grammadee, your cover page is perfect. I so love the photo expression in the bottom corner. Priceless! kellyr21, no decorating here. I'm just planning out what I want to do that way I can pick up pieces on sale and when I really like them. I still have trim for the upstairs bedrooms/hall setting in my dining room (since October). But at least we're closer to starting the trim now. nylene, you are cranking out those boxes. You'll be finished in no time. scrapincin, yum to peanut butter chocolate pie. I'd say you are a great catch! I'm sure it tasted awesome even if it wasn't the prettiest. Happy birthday to your sister. How is she feeling? grammadee, you have been rocking the 2 page layouts this month. Love both of these layouts. Well, I definitely have a hardware issue with my silhouette. So I'm waiting to hear from them as to options. My electronics/appliances have really not been liking me over the last year. I finally uploaded some layouts to the gallery yesterday in my spare few minutes, but it seems that everybody here already knows. Thanks for the kind comments. Can't believe how on top of things you all are. This page has been up for the last 3 hours, as I read and type, get called away, and when I came back to it just now, I refreshed the page to see the latest posts (which was Dee's layouts). Hopefully I'll get to the gallery this week. Mother Nature is still on the crazy train. After yesterday's almost 40, I woke up to 25 feels like 14 and my phone reading hasn't changed since 7am. It's been snowing today. I'm hoping that the forecast for Saturday/Sunday holds out as it's calling for 49/53 and mostly sunny. Hope all of you will get warm weather too. Will be back later.

grammadee , I laughed out loud reading about maribeth 's energy. I think you and she both are energizer bunnies. I think I got my camera fixed, but I ended up posting the scanned layout. I'll link it here. What if we had a little block of all our Pokey Peas. Oh, boy, wouldn't we have fun!! Love your new layouts. I'll leave some love in the gallery. Good luck with the Vagabond. I loved my Cuttlebug and can still use it, but it grinds and I know it will give out. I'm enjoying the Big Shot DH got me for Christmas. scrapincin , thanks for your nice comments on my layout. You are so sweet. About my hair, no one has even noticed the difference. Someone at school noticed it was curled tighter (perm). Even my DD didn't notice until I called it to her attention. I was with 5 granddaughters the other night and asked if anyone could tell a difference...no. So, although it looks a little red to me and the gray no longer shows, and it's 4 inches shorter..I guess it looks pretty much the same. That is fine with me. I'm just glad to cover up the gray streaks I was getting. maribeth , how is work? I hope you are busy and happy. Won't be long until it's RV weather again. Between now and then you'll have Calvinball to keep you occupied. I am loving your layouts. How many grandchildren do you have? Such cute girls. kellyr21 , I wish I could eat one of your red velvet cupcakes. They sound delicious. I find that with frosting it is much easier to thin it than to thicken it. I start very lightly with the liquid and then just add what I need for the right consistency. I'm sure they were delicious. Can't wait to see your Valentines. LisaDV , I am sorry about your Silhouette. That's heart breaking. I hope they can help you fix it. I can't do a layout without mine. Mother Nature is crazy here too. On Sat we had beautiful 60 degree weather and a foot of snow Sunday morning. We are just getting a lot of very cold wind right now. The upper part of the state is flooding. It's really sad to see so many people displaced. We need the water, but not in the basements! I will catch your layouts in the gallery. I'm glad you are scrapping. This is Angie's youngest, Christopher, but they call him Topher. You Make My Heart Smile by Nylene Budge, on Flickr These are the boxes I am making for school. They are 6 1/2 in x 4 1/2 in and about an inch high. Card Boxes for school by Nylene Budge, on Flickr I also make these to hold packs of cards as gifts for friends, but then I fancy them up a bit and made a pretty band to go around them.

nylene - I have four grandchildren 2 girls from one son and 2 boys from my other son, but unfortunately I don't receive photos from my son with the two boys, and I don't get to see them to take my own photos. Nothing bad or anything, he just lives a bit of a different lifestyle. Wonderful page loving the very monochromatic style going on with all the blues. Love that the photo arrangements seems to be one giant photo across the page. Your boxes are terrific. Do you have the paper size, score lines and cut/fold information. I would love to make that size box too keep extra photos (not scrapbooked) in.

maribeth , this is how I learned to make the boxes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifg4yI0d6toI use them for all kinds of things. If you have the envelope punch board they are easy. They don't take a lot of time. Without the score board it would be a little harder to figure it out. The punch removes the little corner pieces that usually overlap and gives you a line for folding.

Good morning, Peas. I got a good crafty start to the day. I was SOOO ready to finish my Christmas album! Last night I had pulled out photos & papers and found a page I had pinned on Pinterest to use as a guide. So this morning, I slapped together 3 pages, including the last page for this album: Christmas '16 last page by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Here are the other two: joy & peace by Gramma Dee, on Flickr joy & peace 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I have promised myself that Friday will be the day I pack all my Christmas crafting supplies away. I generally hate cleaning and organizing, but I think I am READY to do this! It will give me more space on my floor and make my other crafting supplies so much more easy to locate and work with. I still have lots of winter pages to create, and some will actually use photos from over the Christmas week, but for those I can use little boy &/or Winter (along with some Sports and Family themed) papers & other elements.

grammadee - good for your - 3 more to add to your page count - The star placement on your Christmas 2016 last page is so magical. I love the colors and it makes such a soothing peaceful page. The charming background paper for your double spread just fits perfectly with the kiddo photos. The Christmas tree is wonderful, is that a die cut or an embossed element fussy cut? Whatever it is is works great on this layout.

Well my red velvet cupcakes turned out fine after I refrigerated them. But I do want to make them again just to figure out the frosting. #norunnyfrosting LOL! Our Valentine's evening was low key and just perfect for us. I was in the gallery and you ladies have really been active. So nice to see all the great projects in there. Waving hello to all and have a restful evening!

nylene, those boxes are so cute. I can see them being extra adorable with some embellishments and homemade cards. I may have to make some for Christmas presents. Thanks for sharing the box video. Love your monochromatic layout too. He's such a cutie! All that flooding is awful and with more rain expected this weekend. I feel so bad for all of those families. grammadee, Finished with your Christmas photos, that has got to feel great. I'm sorry you have to clean up. A necessary evil of crafting, I'm afraid. But it always feels so good to start fresh. kellyr21, those are gorgeous cards! Did you send them out? or are you selling them?
